English has sufficient tools to process and receive summarized records. However, there is no specifically applicable to Bengali since Bengali has a lot of ambiguity, it differs from English in terms of grammar. Afterward, this language holds an important place because this language is spoken by 26 core people all over the world. As a result, it has taken a new method to summarize Bengali documents. The proposed system has been designed by using the following stages: pre-processing the sample doc/input doc, word tagging, pronoun replacement, sentence ranking, as well as summary. Pronoun replacement has been used to reduce the incidence of swinging pronouns in the performance review. We ranked sentences based on sentence frequency, numerical figures, and pronoun replacement. Checking the similarity between two sentences in order to exclude one since it has less duplication. Hereby, we’ve taken 3000 data as input from newspaper and book documents and learned the words to be appropriate with syntax. In addition, to evaluate the performance of the designed summarizer, the design system looked at the different documents. According to the assessment method, the recall, precision, and F-score were 0.70, 0.82 and 0.74, respectively, representing 70%, 82% and 74% recall, precision, and F-score. It has been found that the proper pronoun replacement was 72%.展开更多

We documented the uses of various medicinal plants by the Bengali people of West district and South district of Tripura state for their own health care as well as for domesti-cated animals. Based on semi structured interviews, group discussions and information from local informants, a total of 93 species of medicinal plants of 52 families and 83 genera were documented. These plants were used to treat more than 55 different human diseases and 6 diseases of livestock. Sixty-eight plant species were used singly and the rest were used in combination with other species for therapeutic formulations of various diseases. Leaves of plants were most often used for most of the ethnobotanical preparations. Maximum consensus value of 96% was recorded for Chromolaena odorata (L.) King &H. Rob., and the mini-mum was 15%for Bambusa balcooa Robx. Of the 93 plant species, 75 species showed pharmacological properties. Prospects for augmenting existing knowledge and enhancing the use of traditional medicinal plants are discussed.展开更多

Sometimes prefixes become derivational to create new words, which differ in part-of-speech and meaning from the words with which these are attached. Thus, prefixation acquires an identity of a morphodynamic process in the language through which new words take birth, while old words change their forms, functions, and meanings to increase lexical stock of Bengali. With reference to a large lexical database of prefixed words obtained from the Bengali corpus (Dash, 2009), this paper tries to explore the nature and type of morphosemantic processes that occur at the time of prefixation to highlight the patterns of change in forms and meaning of prefixed words. Also, it aims at laying a theoretical foundation about the nature of lexical generativity of prefixes used in formation of words. The application relevance of this study may be attested in descriptive linguistics, applied linguistics, and language technology, since analysis of forms and functions of prefixes supplies necessary information for developing text materials for Bengali language teaching, compiling dictionaries, designing systems for machine learning, and developing databases for machine translation. Indirectly, it ventilates into the nature of complexities embedded in linguistic generativity of the Bengali speakers展开更多
