The exchange biasing field (H-ex) between NiO4 and Ni81Fe19 as a function of NiOx oxidation states was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The oxidation states and the oxide thickness of Al layers in magnetic multilayer films consisting of Co/AlOx/Co were also analyzed. It is found that the H-sr of NiOx/Ni81Fe19 films only depends on Ni2+ but not on Ni3+ or Ni. The bottom Co can be completely covered by depositing an A I layer thicker than 2.0 nm. The oxide layer was Al2O3, and its thickness was 1.15 mn.展开更多

Results show that the charge density can reach up to -1.56×10^12 cm%-2 when the thickness of the film is 2.4 nm. The influence of charge density on cell conversion efficiency is further simulated using solar cell analyzing software (PC1D). With AlOx passivating the rear surface of the silicon, the cell efficiency of 20.66% can be obtained.展开更多

The present study was to explore the role of this gene in the eastern Chinese patien...BACKGROUND:5-1ipoxygenase protein (ALOX5AP) has been recognized as a susceptibility gene for stroke and coronary artery diseases. The present study was to explore the role of this gene in the eastern Chinese patients with ischemic stroke.METHODS: Using a case-control design, we studied 658 patients with ischemic stroke and 704 unrelated population-based controls who were age- and sex-matched. The 658 patients were classified by the Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment (TOAST). Two single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) covering ALOX5AP were genotyped. RESULTS: The genotype frequencies of TG of the SNPs rs17222919 located in the promoter of the ALOX5AP gene were significantly higher in patients with ischemic stroke than in controls (OR*=1.34, 95%C1*=1.02-1.75), especially in patients with ischemic stroke caused by small-artery occlusion (SAO) (OR*=1.40, 95%C1*=1.02-1.93). Meanwhile, the genotype frequencies of TG and TG/ GG were higher in female patients than in the controls. After specification, the genotype frequencies of TG and TG/GG were higher in the patients than in controls with hypertension. The genotype frequencies of AG and AG/GG of the SNPs rs9579646 located in the intron of the ALOX5AP gene were higher in the controls than in the patients. After specification, the genotype frequencies of TG were higher in the controls than patients without hypertension. CONCLUSIONS: The present study suggests that sequence variants in the ALOX5AP gene are significantly associated with ischemic stroke.展开更多
Induction of cancer cell ferroptosis has been proposed as a potential treatment in several cancer types.Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)play a key role in promoting tumor malignant progression and therapy resistance...Induction of cancer cell ferroptosis has been proposed as a potential treatment in several cancer types.Tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)play a key role in promoting tumor malignant progression and therapy resistance.However,the roles and mechanisms of TAMs in regulating tumor ferroptosis is still unexplored and remains enigmatic.This study shows ferroptosis inducers has shown therapeutic outcomes in cervical cancer in vitro and in vivo.TAMs have been found to suppress cervical cancer cells ferroptosis.Mechanistically,macrophage-derived miRNA-660-5p packaged into exosomes are transported into cancer cells.In cancer cells,miRNA-660-5p attenuates ALOX15 expression to inhibit ferroptosis.Moreover,the upregulation of miRNA-660-5p in macrophages depends on autocrine IL4/IL13-activated STAT6 pathway.Importantly,in clinical cervical cancer cases,ALOX15 is negatively associated with macrophages infiltration,which also raises the possibility that macrophages reduce ALOX15 levels in cervical cancer.Moreover,both univariate and multivariate Cox analyses show ALOX15 expression is independent prognostic factor and positively associated with good prognosis in cervical cancer.Altogether,this study reveals the potential utility of targeting TAMs in ferroptosis-based treatment and ALOX15 as prognosis indicators for cervical cancer.展开更多
