The purpose of the problem is to design a linear memoryless state-feedbackcontroller such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular, impulse free and stable with anH-infinity norm bound. Firstly, a deky-dependent bounded real lemma(BRL) of the time-deky descriptorsystems is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) by using a descriptor modeltransformation of the system and by taking a new Lyapunov-Krasovsii functional. The introducedfunctional does not require bounding for cross terms, so it has less conservation. Secondly, withthe help of the obtained bounded real lemma, a sufficient condition for the existence of a newdeky-dependent H-infinity state-feedback controller is shown in terms of nonlinear matrixinequalities and the solvability of the problem can be obtained by using an iterative algorithminvolving convex optimization. The control of time delay systems is still an open area for research. This paper proposes an enhanced model predictive discrete-time sliding mode control with a new sliding function for a linear system with state delay. Firstly, a new sliding function including a present value and a past value of the state, called dynamic surface, is designed by means of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Then, using this dynamic function and the rolling optimization method in the predictive control strategy, a discrete predictive sliding mode controller is synthesized. This new strategy is proposed to eliminate the undesirable effect of the delay term in the closed loop system. Also, the designed control strategy is more robust, and has a chattering reduction property and a faster convergence of the system s state. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control. 展开更多

For a class of linear discrete-time systems that is subject to randomly occurred networked packet loss in industrial cyber physical systems, a novel robust model predictive control method with active compensation mechanism was proposed. The probability distribution of packet loss is described as the Bernoulli distributed white sequences. By using the Lyapunov stability theory, the existing sufficient conditions of the controller are derived from solving a group of linear matrix inequalities. Moreover, dropout-rate with uncertainty and unknown dropout-rate are also considered, which can greatly reduce the conservativeness of the controller. The designed robust model predictive control method not only efficiently eliminates the negative effects of the networked data loss in industrial cyber physical systems but also ensures the stability of closed-loop system. Two examples were provided to illustrate the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

In this paper, the exponential stability analysis for ODE switched systems with time delay is extended to distributed parameter switched systems(DPSS) in Hilbert space. For a given family of exponential stable subsystems, this paper focuses on finding conditions to guarantee the overall DPSS' exponential stability. Based on semigroup theory, by applying piecewise Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals method incorporated average dwell time approach, sufficient conditions for exponential stability are derived. These conditions are given in the form of linear operator inequalities(LOIs)where the decision variables are operators in Hilbert space, and the stability properties depend on switching rule. Being applied to heat switched propagation equations, these LOIs are reduced to standard Linear Matrix Inequalities(LMIs). Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed result. 展开更多

Stabilizing state/output feedback controllers can be constructed by using the feasible solutions of some linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The merit of our proposed approach is that the behavior of the NCSs can be studied by considering switched system without augmenting the system. A new proportional-integral (PI) sliding surface is designed for a class of uncertain nonlinear state-delayed systems. Based on this, an adaptive sliding mode controller (ASMC) is synthesized, which guarantees the occurrence of sliding mode even when the system is undergoing parameter uncertainties and external disturbance. The resulting sliding mode has the same order as the original system, so that it becomes easy to solve the H∞ control problem by designing a memoryless H∞ state feedback controller. A delay-dependent sufficient condition is proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which guarantees the sliding mode robust asymptotically stable and has a noise attenuation level γ in an H∞ sense. The admissible state feedback controller can be found by solving a sequential minimization problem subject to LMI constraints by applying the cone complementary linearization method. This design scheme combines the strong robustness of the sliding mode control with the H∞ norm performance. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. 展开更多
