Results indicatedthat all trees and other plants aresignificantly effective in bacteria controlacross all seasons. The significance ofbacterial-control effectiveness is in an orderof within-forest > outside-forest (5 m fromthe stand boundary) and multi-layer >single layer (pure stand). Conifer speciesare more effective, small trees > shrubs inthe green island (isolation island). Theaverage effectiveness in bacteria control ishigher within than outside forest. Theseresults provide scientific evidence fordevelopment of ecological and healthyurban green areas.展开更多
