The Manrong Village, only 8 kilometers away fromthe city seat of Shenyang, is located in Hunhe WestStreet of Dongling District, Shenyang City, LiaoningProvince. The village is nearly 13 kilometers away fromthe Taoxian...The Manrong Village, only 8 kilometers away fromthe city seat of Shenyang, is located in Hunhe WestStreet of Dongling District, Shenyang City, LiaoningProvince. The village is nearly 13 kilometers away fromthe Taoxian International Airport. The village, with apollution of 5500, covers an area of 415 hectares. It hasa history over 70 years and is the largest village in Chinafor its Korean Nationality.Since 1997, great change has taken place in thisvillage under the leadership of Party secretary PiaoShengze. Piao understood then that how to make thefarmers’ life rich and popular was his burden. He visitedthe Republic of Korea several times, and realized thatthe development of the village would have a long-termprogram.From the new century on, the village was dividedinto four functional areas, the residential area, theshopping center, the industrial zone, and the modernfarming area. All the representatives from the villagersagreed with his thinking.Now villagers in Manrong live in the storied buildingwith each farmer about 25 square meters. More than1200 persons have labor in the Republic of Korea everyyear, which makes them much richer and some of themmake investment in the Manrong Industrial Zone.To the present time, 42 joint ventures have set up inthis zone. In 2005 alone, the social production valuetotaled 380 million Yuan in Manrong Village, about 12000Yuan per capita.Besides, since 1998, the investors were asked toinvest not only to industry but also to the public construction.Secretary Piao said that the fund for the expansion ofschool and the construction of the Cultural Palace wassolved by the investors.
