Conservatism rejects cultural globalization, while radicalism sees it as a great opportunity for an overall Westernization. The article makes a distinction between cultural globalization and cultural colonization in the aspects of global cultural structure, its epoch’s connotation, its match with politics and economy, and the concept of culture, etc. The article holds that the cultural globalization is resulted from the process of the rise and fall of cultural colonization and imperialism, the dissolution of western cultural hegemony, and the transformation and re construction of global cultural structure. The cultural globalization is constructing a new cultural experience, value dependency and cultural psychology. However, cultural globalization is an uncompleted cultural modality, lacking mature cultural ideas and constructiveness as well as a norm for positive global interacts of different cultures. Therefore, there are needs for a proper strategy of cultural development and an active participation in globalization. A global cultural system needs to be built jointly by different cultures. Also, the idea and meta value of global culture need to be re established for promoting cultural globalization. Thus, it is necessary to establish the cultural progressivism and a new philosophical concept of culture.展开更多
