In order to predict the landslide occurrence...Bailongjiang watershed in southern Gansu province, China, is one of the most landslide-prone regions in China, characterized by very high frequency of landslide occurrence. In order to predict the landslide occurrence, a comprehensive map of landslide susceptibility is required which may be significantly helpful in reducing loss of property and human life. In this study, an integrated model of information value method and logistic regression is proposed by using their merits at maximum and overcoming their weaknesses, which may enhance precision and accuracy of landslide susceptibility assessment. A detailed and reliable landslide inventory with 1587 landslides was prepared and randomly divided into two groups,(i) training dataset and(ii) testing dataset. Eight distinct landslide conditioning factors including lithology, slope gradient, aspect, elevation, distance to drainages,distance to faults, distance to roads and vegetation coverage were selected for landslide susceptibility mapping. The produced landslide susceptibility maps were validated by the success rate and prediction rate curves. The validation results show that the success rate and the prediction rate of the integrated model are 81.7 % and 84.6 %, respectively, which indicate that the proposed integrated method is reliable to produce an accurate landslide susceptibility map and the results may be used for landslides management and mitigation.展开更多

This paper establishes the models of various energy sub-systems and the coupling equipment for an electricity-gas-thermal IES, and an integrated multi-energy flow calculation model of the IES is constructed. A simplified calculation method for the compressor model in a natural gas network, one which is not included in a loop and works in constant compression ratio mode, is also proposed based on the concept of model reduction. In addition, a numerical conversion method for dealing with the conflict between nominal value and per unit value in the multi-energy flow calculation of IES is described. A case study is given to verify the correctness and speed of the proposed method, and the electricity-gas-thermal coupling interaction characteristics among sub-systems are studied.展开更多

Rural energy systems, as one of the important links of the energy network in China, suffer from low energy efficiency and weak infrastructure. Therefore, it is particularly important to increase the proportion of electricity consumption and build an integrated energy system for rural electrification in China(IESREIC) with a rural distribution network as the core, in line with national conditions. In this study, by analyzing the Chinese regional differences and natural resource endowments, the development characteristics of the IESREIC are summarized. Then, according to the existing rural energy problems, key technologies are proposed for the IESREIC, such as those for planning and operation, value sharing, infrastructure, and a management and control platform. Finally, IESREIC demonstration projects and business models are introduced for agricultural production, rural industrial systems, and rural life. The purpose is to propose research concepts for the IESREIC, provide suggestions for the development of rural energy, and provide a reference for the construction of rural energy systems in countries with characteristics similar to those of China.展开更多

The threshold values for the existence and s...Based on the facts of releasing natural enemies and spraying pesticides at different time points, we propose a generalized predator-prey model with impulsive interventions. The threshold values for the existence and stability of pest eradication periodic solution are provided under the assumptions of releasing natural enemies either more or less frequent than spray. In order to address how the different pulse time points, control tactics affect the pest control (i.e. the threshold value), the Holling Type II Lotka-Volterra predator- prey system, as an example, with impulsive intervention at different time points axe investigated carefully. The numerical results show how the threshold values are affected by the factors including instantaneous killing rates of pesticides on pests and natural enemies, the release rate of natural enemies and release constant, timing of pesticide application and timing of release period. Furthermore, it is confirmed that the system has the coexistences of pests and natural enemies for a wide range of parameters and with quite different pest amplitudes.展开更多
In the mobile edge computing environments,Quality of Service(QoS)prediction plays a crucial role in web service recommendation.Because of distinct features of mobile edge computing,i.e.,the mobility of users and incom...In the mobile edge computing environments,Quality of Service(QoS)prediction plays a crucial role in web service recommendation.Because of distinct features of mobile edge computing,i.e.,the mobility of users and incomplete historical QoS data,traditional QoS prediction approaches may obtain less accurate results in the mobile edge computing environments.In this paper,we treat the historical QoS values at different time slots as a temporal sequence of QoS matrices.By incorporating the compressed matrices extracted from QoS matrices through truncated Singular Value Decomposition(SVD)with the classical ARIMA model,we extend the ARIMA model to predict multiple QoS values simultaneously and efficiently.Experimental results show that our proposed approach outperforms the other state-of-the-art approaches in accuracy and efficiency.展开更多
