In this work, a novel donor material(ECTBD) consisting of benzodithiophene(BDT) central electron donor unit was developed and synthesized. The small molecular donor has the same central unit as PM6. The addition of ECTBD into PM6:Y6 system could improve the morphology of active blend layer. In addition, ECTBD showed good morphologically compatibility when blending with PM6:Y6 host, resulting in the improvement of fill factor and current density. As a result, the ternary devices based on PM6:ECTBD:Y6 ternary system achieved a highest PCE of 16.51% with fill factor of 76.24%, which was much higher than that of the binary devices(15.7%). Overall, this work provided an effective strategy to fabricate highly efficient ternary organic solar cells through design of the novel small molecular donor as the third component.展开更多

The typical content of unit testing for the new organizing mode should have three aspects, including self-checking, cross-testing and independent-testing. For cross-testing, executing “pair-wise” mode, mainly tackles data testing, function testing and state testing, which function testing must be done by details and state testing must be considered for completeness. With the specializing of independent-testing, it should be taken as more rigid testing without arbitrariness. Consequently, strategy and measure are addressed for data testing focusing on boundary testing and function/state testing. And organizing method of procedure and key points of tackling unit testing are investigated for the new organizing mode. In order to assess the validity of our study and approach, a series of actual examples are demonstrated for GUI software. The result indicates that the execution of unit testing for the new organizing mode is effective and applicable.展开更多

These molecules exhibited good thermal stability with decomposition temperatures over 380℃ and broad absorption from 300 to 700 nm. Photovoltaic devices were fabricated with these small molecules as donors and PC71BM as an acceptor. The TPA-BT3T based devices exhibited a power conversion efficiency of 2.89%, higher than those of the TPA-PT3T- and TPA-DFBT3T-based devices (1.34% and 1.54% respectively). The effects of electron-withdrawing units on absorption, energy level, charge transport, morphology, and photovoltaic properties also were investigated.展开更多

The small-scale unit and the traditional unit were selected through two phases in Vancouver, Canada. Seven residents from each facility completed the study. Physical environmental assessments were performed using two tools: PEAP (professional environmental assessment protocol) and TESS-NH (therapeutic environment screening survey for nursing homes). For the assessment of residents' behaviors, three assessment tools were used: MOSES (multidimensional observation scale for elderly subjects), MDS (minimum data set) and DCM (dementia care mapping). The study found that the residents living in a small-scale environment were more engaged in activities and more likely to respond in understanding their fellow residents. Residents living in a traditional long-term care exhibited fewer signs of social interaction. The findings suggest that a small-scale homelike environment could positively influence people with dementia to be more engaged in social exchanges and activities, and consequently help in reducing their withdrawn behavior.展开更多
