In this paper, we incorporate fuzzy mathematics approach into the Eulerian method to simulate three dimensional multi-material interfaces. In particular, we propose a fuzzy interface treatment for describing interfaces, designing transport plans, and computing transport quantities. Using a set of three-dimensional inviscid isothermal elastic-plastic hydrodynamic equations, we simulate shaped charge jet in different filled dynamite structures. Strain and stress have been under consideration in simulations. Numerical results demonstrate that the fuzzy interface treatment is correct and efficient for three-dimensional multi-material problems. 展开更多

It is difficult to obtain the value of this coefficient because of the irregular shape of maize particles. This paper describes an approach that combines the discrete-element method (DEM) and a physical test to determine the coefficient of rolling friction of irregularly shaped maize particles. A novel test platform was used to obtain the maize particle's coefficient of restitution and the coefficient of static friction. EDEM software (DEM- Solutions, United Kingdom) was used to simulate the accumulation of maize particles on particles and on a zincified plate. The golden-section method was used to determine the range of the maize particle's coefficient of roiling friction. A single-factor test was used to determine the relationship between the maize particle's coefficient of rolling friction and their angle of repose. The results obtained from the EDEM simulation were compared with physical test results to determine the intergranular coefficient of rolling friction and the coefficient of roiling friction between maize particles and the zincified plate. Our study demonstrates that the angle of repose increases linearly with the coefficient of rolling friction of maize particles. The effect of the coefficient of rolling friction on the particle movement is studied. The physical verification test indicates that the obtained rolling friction of the maize particles is accurate. The findings of this paper provide a theoretical basis for maize-processing machine design and a discrete-element studv of the motion of maize particles inside such machines. 展开更多

The performance of a reversible pump turbine with S-shaped characteristics is of great importance to the transition processes such as start-up and load rejection. In order to predict the S-shaped curve accurately and develop a reliable tool for design improvement, a shear stress transport model (SST) with various numerical schemes for pressure term in the governing equation was investigated in a whole pump turbine including spiral casing, stay vanes, guide vanes, runner and draft tube. Through the computation, it was shown that different zones in the curve should employ different schemes to get the solution converged. Comparison of discharge-speed performance showed that good correspondence is got between experimental data and CFD results. Based on this, internal flow analysis was carried out at three typical operating points representing turbine mode, shut-off mode and reversible pump mode, respectively. According to the flow field concerned, the mechanism for the speed-no-load instability was explained, which provides good guidelines to take countermeasures in future design. 展开更多

本文以全球发达国家近100年的铅消费历史为研究基础,剖析了美国、英国、日本等典型国家的铅消费轨迹,拟合了典型国家人均铅消费量的曲线方程,发现其都具有"S"形消费规律。在此规律基础上,标定了铅消费三个关键点:起飞点、转... 本文以全球发达国家近100年的铅消费历史为研究基础,剖析了美国、英国、日本等典型国家的铅消费轨迹,拟合了典型国家人均铅消费量的曲线方程,发现其都具有"S"形消费规律。在此规律基础上,标定了铅消费三个关键点:起飞点、转折点、零增长点,并给出了各个关键点与产业结构、城市化、汽车工业发展之间的内涵解释。运用"S"形消费规律,对中国未来20年的铅需求进行预测,预测了中国铅需求峰值位置,及对应的铅需求量,预测结果显示:2022年前后中国铅需求达到峰值,届时铅需求量约为590万吨,人均铅需求量为4.13 kg,随后铅消费开始缓慢下降。本文在中长期尺度上对中国铅需求进行定量预测,为我国未来铅资源开发规模与冶炼产业结构调整提供宏观背景和依据。 展开更多

Sweet osmanthus(Osmanthus fragrans Lour.)is among the top ten most well-known flowers in China and is recognized as both an aromatic plant and ornamental flower.Here,manual sectioning,scanning electron microscopy,and transmission electron microscopy of sweet osmanthus petals revealed that large amounts of lipids are present inside the petal cells and on the cell surfaces.However,no secretory structures were observed.Instead,the petal cells protrude slightly outward,and the surfaces of the cells are adorned with highly regular brush-shaped hairs.The surfaces of the‘Yingui’petals possessed mostly curled and more numerous hairs,whereas the‘Dangui’petals possessed fewer brush-shaped and more sparsely arranged hairs.In addition,many granular substances were attached to the brush-shaped hairs,and the granules were denser on the hairs of the‘Yingui’petals compared to the hairs on the‘Dangui’petals.Furthermore,35 aromatic components in the‘Yingui’petals and 30 aromatic components in the‘Dangui’petals were detected via GC-MS.The main aromatic component of the‘Yingui’petals wasβ-ionone,whereas that of the‘Dangui’petals was linalool and its oxides.Transcriptome sequencing and qRT-PCR indicated that the highβ-ionone content in the‘Yingui’petals was due to the overexpression of CCD1 and CCD4 and that the high linalool content in the‘Dangui’petals was due to the overexpression of MECS,HDR,IDI1,and LIS1,which function upstream of the linalool synthetic pathway.In particular,the expression levels of CCD4 and LIS1 were upregulated by 5.5-and 5.1-fold in the‘Yingui’and‘Dangui’petals,respectively.One transcription factor(ERF61)was cloned and named,and the expression pattern of ERF61 in sweet osmanthus petals was found to be generally consistent with that of CCD4.Tobacco transformation experiments,yeast one-hybrid experiments,and electrophoretic mobility shift assays indicated that ERF61 binds to the CCD4 promoter and stimulates CCD4 expression,thereby regulating the synthesis ofβ-i 展开更多

In order to develop a tandem warhead that can effectively destroy concrete targets, this paper explores the penetration performance of shaped charges with different cone angles and liner materials into concrete targets by means of experiments. The penetration process and the destruction mechanism of concrete targets by shaped charges and kinetic energy projectiles are analyzed and compared. Experimental results suggest that both kinetic energetic projectile and shaped charge are capable of destroying concrete targets, but the magnitudes of damage are different. Compared with a kinetic energy projectile, a shaped charge has more significant effect of penetration into the target, and causes very large spalling area. Hence, a shaped charge is quite suitable for first-stage charge of tandem warhead. It is also found that, with the increase of shaped charge liner cone angle, the depth of penetration decreases gradually while the hole diameter becomes larger. Penetration depth with copper liner is larger than of aluminum liner but hole diameter is relatively smaller, and the shaped charge with steel liner is between the above two cases. The shaped charge with a cone angle of 100° can form a jet projectile charge (JPC). With JPC, a hole with optimum depth and diameter on concrete targets can be formed, which guarantees that the second-stage warhead smoothly penetrates into the hole and explodes at the optimum depth to achieve the desired level of destruction in concrete targets. 展开更多

In order to study and apply the penetration performance of jetting penetrator charge at long stand-off distance, three jetting penetrator charges(JPC), including spherical cone liner, truncated wide-angle liner and spherical segment liner, are designed. The numerical simulation analysis of the formation, elongation and penetration processes of rod-like jet is conducted by using LS-DYNA software. And the penetrating test is carried out at long stand-off distance. The test results show that the rod-like jet formed by the optimized spherical segment liner can pierce through a 90mm thick 45# steel target at 20 charge diameters(CD) stand-off distance when the charge detonation mode is a central point initiation, and the penetration depth can be up to 1.6CD. It is concluded that, at 20 CD stand-off distance, the penetration performance of JPC with spherical segment liner is the best, that of truncated wide-angle liner takes second place, and that of spherical cone liner is the worst. 展开更多

Microfluidic mixer is the most important component in microfluidic devices. Based on various principles, active and passive micromixers have been designed and investigated. This review is focused on the recent developments in microfluidic mixers. An overview of the flow phenomena and mixing characteristics in active and passive micromixers is presented, including the types of physical phenomena and their utilization in micromixers. Due to the simple fabrication technology and the easy implementation in a complex microfluidic system, T-micromixer is highlighted as an example to illustrate the effect of design and operating parameters on mixing efficiency and fuid flow inside microfluidic mixers. 展开更多

Current research on pump-turbine units is focused on the unstable operation at off-design conditions, with the characteristic curves in generating mode being S-shaped. Unlike in the traditional water turbines, pump-turbine operation along the S-shaped curve can lead to difficulties during load rejection with unusual increases in the water pressure, which leads to machine vibrations. This paper describes both model tests and numerical simulations. A reduced scale model of a low specific speed pump-turbine was used for the performance tests, with comparisons to computational fluid dynamics(CFD) results. Predictions using the detached eddy simulation(DES) turbulence model, which is a combined Reynolds averaged Naviers-Stokes(RANS) and large eddy simulation(LES) model, are compared with the two-equation turbulence mode results. The external characteristics as well as the internal flow are for various guide vane openings to understand the unsteady flow along the so called S characteristics of a pump-turbine. Comparison of the experimental data with the CFD results for various conditions and times shows that DES model gives better agreement with experimental data than the two-equation turbulence model. For low flow conditions, the centrifugal forces and the large incident angle create large vortices between the guide vanes and the runner inlet in the runner passage, which is the main factor leading to the S-shaped characteristics. The turbulence model used here gives more accurate simulations of the internal flow characteristics of the pump-turbine and a more detailed force analysis which shows the mechanisms controlling of the S characteristics. 展开更多

提出了带暗的Z形短柱。通过3根Z形短柱抗震性能的试验研究,分析比较了Z形柱在两个工程轴受力方向的承载力、刚度、延性、滞回曲线和破坏特征,分析了暗柱对提高Z形短柱抗震能力的作用。试验表明加设暗柱后可明显提高Z形截面短柱的抗震性能。

To improve the grinding quality of robotic belt grinding systems for the workpieces with complex shaped surfaces, new concepts of the dexterity grinding point and the dexterity grinding space are proposed and their mathematical descriptions are defined. Factors influencing the dexterity grinding space are analyzed. And a method to determine the necessary dexterity grinding space is suggested. Based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) method, a strategy to optimize the grinding robot structural dimensions and position with respect to the grinding wheel is put forward to obtain the necessary dexterity grinding space. Finally, to grind an aerial engine blade, a dedicated PPPRRR (P: prismatic R: rotary) grinding robot structural dimensions and position with respect to the grinding wheel are optimized using the above strategy. According to simulation results, if the blade is placed within the dexterity grinding space, only one gripper and one grinding machine are needed to grind its complex shaped surfaces. 展开更多
