《奇想之年》(the Year of Magical Thinking)是美国作家琼·狄迪恩经历丧夫之痛后所写的一部以丧恸和失去为主题的回忆录。作为传记的一种体裁,回忆录兼具纪实性与文学性、真实性与虚构性的特点。其真实性和纪实性要求译文忠实传...《奇想之年》(the Year of Magical Thinking)是美国作家琼·狄迪恩经历丧夫之痛后所写的一部以丧恸和失去为主题的回忆录。作为传记的一种体裁,回忆录兼具纪实性与文学性、真实性与虚构性的特点。其真实性和纪实性要求译文忠实传递原文信息,其文学性和虚构性的特征又要求译文再现原文的意境和风格。根据功能对等理论的要求,译文既需忠实原文信息,又需摆脱原文形式的束缚,用贴近自然与合乎规范的译入语再现原文,重现原文风格,使译文读者与原文读者产生相似的阅读体验。因此,回忆录的翻译要求和功能对等理论的内容不谋而合。功能对等理论指导下,笔者结合回忆录的文体特点,对回忆录《奇想之年》汉译中的两大翻译难点进行了分析和探讨,即译者如何处理原文中的反复修辞,以及如何巧用汉语四字格,既准确传达原意,再现回忆录的真实性,同时重现原文修辞的美感和效果,使译文更具文学性。展开更多
