The governing equations are Navier-Stokes equations. They are discretized with finite volume method(FVM) and the solution is iterated with PISO Algorithm. Then, the calculating results are compared with the numerical results in literature, and good agreements are obtained. After that, the mechanism of the formation of Karman vortex street is investigated and the instability of the entire flow field is analyzed with the energy gradient theory. It is found that the two eddies attached at the rear of the cylinder have no effect on the flow instability for steady flow, i.e., they don't contribute to the formation of Karman vortex street. The formation of Karman vortex street originates from the combinations of the interaction of two shear layers at two lateral sides of the cylinder and the absolute instability in the cylinder wake. For the flow with Karman vortex street, the initial instability occurs at the region in a vortex downstream of the wake and the center of a vortex firstly loses its stability in a vortex. For pressure driven flow, it is confirmed that the inflection point on the time-averaged velocity profile leads to the instability. It is concluded that the energy gradient theory is potentially applicable to study the flow stability and to reveal the mechanism of turbulent transition.展开更多

The average concentration of total 2,3,7,8-PCDD/Fs was(2.30 ± 1.02) pg/g, and World Health Organization Toxicity Equivalency(WHO-TEQ) average concentration was(0.013 ± 0.010)pg WHO-TEQ/g. The average concentration of ∑PCBs(7 indicator PCB and 12 dioxin like-PCB congeners) was(16.2 ± 9.25) pg/g, and WHO-TEQ average concentration was 0.043 ±0.049 pg WHO-TEQ/g. Comparing to previous studies in similar environmental conditions,PCDD/Fs and PCBs in this study showed a relatively lower concentration. The altitude dependences of PCDD/Fs and PCBs were also studied. Total organic carbon(TOC) normalized concentrations presented a quadratic relation with the altitudes, and an inflection could be found on the parabola of the total concentrations and some congeners of high concentration. The concentrations decreased with altitudes below about 4500 m above sea level(a.s.l.), while they increased with altitudes above it. These phenomena indicate that cold condensation of PCDD/Fs and PCBs would happen above 4500 m a.s.l, on the Tibetan Plateau.展开更多

Confirmed methods of the inflection circle, curvature radius and curvature center of the point track on the linkage rigid body are given in the case of the different contact type of move instantaneous center line and static instantaneous center line. The regularity of distribution of curvature radius and curvature center of the point track is researched. The identification methods called determination parameters and auxiliary vertical line of the diameter and direction of the inflection circle in the four bar mechanism are pointed out. A design method of the crane hoisting mechanism is discussed in the end of this paper.展开更多

Similar fold axial plane trace data measured in Palaeozoic rocks in Chester Dome, Vermont, which is high temperature to medium pressure regime, only preserve the effects of the youngest FIAs of the all 5 FIA sets that obtained in this region. The other three FIA sets have no equivalent fold axial planes. This difference from shallow to deeper orogenic regimes reflects decreasing competency at greater pressure with collapse and unfolding of earlier formed folds. The greater overlying load of rocks has tended to flatten all but the very largest early-formed structures, preserving only those folds that were more recently developed.展开更多

Based on the theory of differentiating different forms of magnetic sources by integral magnetic anomaly curves, a unified expression for calculating magnetic fields of different magnetic sources under undulating terrain conditions is given, and the triangular system plate interpretation method is used to identify the magnetic fields of different magnetic sources. The calculus parameter basis for the classification of unknown magnetic source morphology and the method technology for determining the magnetic source spatial morphology are confirmed. The example shows that the application of the calculus triangulation method to the magnetic source morphological system inversion has a good prospect.展开更多
