In 2012-2015, under the conditions of different natural wind speeds, the single-rotor agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle was used for the supplementary pollination during seed production of 10 hybrid combinations wi...In 2012-2015, under the conditions of different natural wind speeds, the single-rotor agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle was used for the supplementary pollination during seed production of 10 hybrid combinations with big parental row ratios in the hybrid rice seed production bases of Hunan, Hainan and Guangdong Province, and the pollination effects were studied through the investigation of pollen density in the field, outcrossing seeding rate of female parent and seed production yield. The results showed that under the parental row ratio of 6:(40-60), the seed setting rate and yields of the supplementary pollination by single-rotor agricultural UAV could reach and even higher than those of artificial pollination, indicating the single-rotor agricultural UAV could be used in supplementary pollination for hybdd rice seed production, which could promote the whole-process mechanization of seed production.展开更多
Magnetorheological(MR)dampers show superior performance in reducing rotor vibration,but their high nonlinearity will cause nonsynchronous response,resulting in fatigue and instability of rotors.Herein,we are devoted t...Magnetorheological(MR)dampers show superior performance in reducing rotor vibration,but their high nonlinearity will cause nonsynchronous response,resulting in fatigue and instability of rotors.Herein,we are devoted to the investigation of the nonlinear characteristics of MR damper mounted on a flexible rotor.First,Reynolds equations with bilinear constitutive equations of MR fluid are employed to derive nonlinear oil film forces.Then,the Finite Element(FE)model of rotor system is developed,where the local nonlinear support forces produced by MR damper and its coupling effects with the rotor are considered.A hybrid numerical method is proposed to solve the nonlinear FE motion equations of the MR damper-rotor system.To validate the proposed model,a rotor test bench with two dual-coil MR dampers is constructed,upon which experimental studies on the dynamic characteristics of MR damper-rotor system are carried out.The effects of different system parameters,including rotational speed,excitation current and amount of unbalance,on nonlinear dynamic behaviors of MR damper-rotor system are evaluated.The results show that the system may appear chaos,jumping,and other complex nonlinear phenomena,and the level of the nonlinearity can be effectively alleviated by applying suitable excitation current and oil supply pressure.展开更多
With the development of more electric aircraft(MEA),higher demands for electrical energy are put forward in generation systems.Compared to constant frequency AC(CFAC)generation systems,the constant speed drive(CSD)is ...With the development of more electric aircraft(MEA),higher demands for electrical energy are put forward in generation systems.Compared to constant frequency AC(CFAC)generation systems,the constant speed drive(CSD)is eliminated and integrated starter/generator(SG)can be realized in variable frequency AC(VFAC)generation systems.In this paper,an overview of VFAC generators for safety-critical aircraft applications is presented,with a particular focus on the key features and requirements of candidate generators and the starting control strategies.Wound rotor synchronous machines(WRSMs)are typical generators used in VFAC generation systems so far.Meanwhile,hybrid excitation synchronous machines(HESMs)and cage-type induction machines are promising candidates for VFAC generation systems.The generation operation of WRSM is relatively mature,however,the SG technology of WRSM is still full of challenges.As one of the most important issues,the starting excitation methods of WRSM are summarized.An HESM-based VFAC SG system is proposed and developed in this paper.The experimental results show that the starting mode,transition mode and generating mode of the VFAC SG system are realized.The continuous progress of VFAC generation system makes great contributions to the realization of MEA.展开更多

The BEESG proposed in this paper is composed of a conventional stator with two different sets of windings with different pole numbers, and a hybrid rotor with powerful coupling capacity. The pole number of the rotor is different from those of the stator windings. Thus, an analysis method different from that applied to conventional generators should be applied to the BEESG. In view of this problem, the equivalent circuit and electromagnetic torque expression of the BEESG are derived on the basis of electromagnetic relation of the proposed generator. The generator is simulated and tested experimentally using the established equivalent circuit model. The experimental and simulation data are then analyzed and compared. Results show the validity of the equivalent circuit model.展开更多
