Survey devices, working methods and techniques as well as data processing and interpretation are discussed systematically. In addition, the direction of mini-wireframe emission electromagnetic wave of the full space transient electromagnetism technique was verified by an underground borehole for water detection and drainage. The result indicates that this technique can detect both horizontal and vertical development rules of abnormal water bodies to a certain depth below the floor of coal seams and can also detect the abnormal, low resistance water bodies within a certain distance of roofs. Furthermore, it can detect such abnormal bodies in ahead of the excavated roadway front. Limited by the underground environment, the full space transient electromagnetism technique can detect to a depth of only 120 m or so.展开更多

Here, three CoNi/graphene nanocomposites (CoNi/GN) are successfully assembled for the first time via a one-pot strategy without templating by manipulating the reaction time and solvents used for the same precursors. Moreover, the reduction of graphene oxide utilizing this method is more effective than that by conventional methods and the alloy particles are firmly embedded on the GN substrate. Compared to n- and p-CoNi/GN nanocomposites, o-CoNi/GN nanocomposites show the best electromagnetic wave absorption properties with the maximum reflection loss of -31.0 dB at 4.9 GHz for a thickness of 4 mm; the effective absorption bandwidth (〈 10.0 dB) is 7.3 GHz (9.5-16.8 GHz) for a thickness of 2 mm. The structures and electromagnetic wave absorption mechanisms of the three composites were also investigated. This research provides a new platform for the development of magnetic alloy nanoparticles in the field of microwave-absorbing devices.展开更多

In order to improve the accuracy of time-depth conversion, we established a mathe- matical model of time-depth conversion for a transient electromagnetic method based on the theory of "double smoke ring effect" of full space transient electromagnetic field transmission. Using a 3-layer as well as a 4-layer geo-electric model for roadway floors, we performed the time-depth conversion of theoretical curves of apparent resistance varying over time. In these curves, the depth corresponding to extreme value points is nearly the same as the depth of a geo-electric model. The position of water body deter- mined by our time-depth conversion method agrees well with the result of borehole drilling, indicating that the established time-depth conversion model can clearly improve the accuracy of spatial positioning of water bodies in coal mines.展开更多

X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) are used to compare the composition and morphology of the unmodified and the modified fibers. The results show that electromagnetism parameters of the modified are different from those of the unmodified. After modification by nano-Ni, the micro-coiled chiral carbon fibers have decreased permittivity and electrical loss. The permeability and magnetic loss of the modified carbon fibers become larger than those of the unmodified ones. Moreover, the modification of unmodified chiral carbon fibers into the modified is much like changing hollow electric windings into those with magnetic cores inside. The modifier intensifies the cross polarization of the chiral carbon fibers and makes the permittivity and the permeability get closer to each other which improves the matching performance and enhances absorbability of coatings. In the range of 6-18 GHz, the reflectivity of the coating is 6-8dB and the bandwidth is 12 GHz. The area density of the coating is below 3 kg/m^2.展开更多
