Nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots(N-CQDs)are nanocomposites that can be synthesized by the hydrothermal method.In this work,N-CQDs with the size of 3.2±1.7 nm was prepared from 1 g citric acid and 2 g urea precursor in 10 mL water.Electrochemiluminescence(ECL)of the prepared N-CQDs with K2S2O8 as a coreactant was found to reach a high ECL efficiency up to 109%relative to that of the Ru(bpy)_(3)^(2+)/K_(2)S_(2)O_(8),coreactant system,revealing their great potential for electroanalysis.It is probably because that N elements were doped well in this N-CQDs and increased presence of surface states per mass of N-CQDs.From the spooling ECL spectroscopy,it can be found that the ECL spectra exhibited both a red shift compared with their photoluminescence(PL)spectrum and a wavelength shift during the potentiodynamic scan in the ECL evolution and devolution processes,due to various emissive excited states of N-CQDs leading to higher ECL efficiency.This work gives an insight into development of high ECL efficiency N-CQDs for bioanalytical and light emitting applications. 展开更多

在纤维素(棉浆粕)的LiCl/N,N-二甲基乙酰胺均相溶液中,以对甲苯磺酰氯(TosCl)为共反应剂,原位活化长链脂肪酸,合成了长链脂肪酸纤维素酯;采用FTIR、1H NMR、XRD和热重分析等手段对产物进行了表征;考察了长链脂肪酸中的碳原子数、反应物... 在纤维素(棉浆粕)的LiCl/N,N-二甲基乙酰胺均相溶液中,以对甲苯磺酰氯(TosCl)为共反应剂,原位活化长链脂肪酸,合成了长链脂肪酸纤维素酯;采用FTIR、1H NMR、XRD和热重分析等手段对产物进行了表征;考察了长链脂肪酸中的碳原子数、反应物配比、反应温度、反应时间等因素对产物取代度的影响。实验结果表明,当n(反应物纤维素葡萄糖苷)∶n(长链脂肪酸)∶n(TosCl)=1∶3∶3、反应温度85℃、反应时间24h时,产物取代度较高;且随长链脂肪酸碳原子数目的增加,产物取代度下降。表征结果表明,与纤维素相比,长链脂肪酸纤维素酯的结晶度下降,使其在有机溶剂中的溶解性增强;酯化反应削弱了纤维素分子间及分子内的作用力,赋予了长链脂肪酸纤维素酯较低的热加工温度。 展开更多

Electrochemiluminescence(ECL)has attracted considerable interest for many applications such as microscopy,(bio)analysis,light-emitting materials or devices.In this work,we report the fabrication and characterization of ECL-active hydrogel films with tunable thickness.The redox films were prepared by electrochemically-assisted radical polymerization by potential cycling of a PBS solution containing the monomer N-isopropylacrylamide,the initiator potassium persulfate,the cross-linker N,N′-methylenebis(acrylamide)and the Ru(bpy)3 monomer.The deposits were easily prepared in a rapid and well-controlled one-step procedure.The resulting homogeneous films are composed of a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(pNIPAM)matrix,which incorporates covalently[Ru(bpy)_(3)]^(2+)centers.The thickness and the number of ECL-active sites is tuned by control-ling the number of voltammetric scans.The deposited pNIPAM films are permeable to water-soluble chemicals such as the coreactant tri-n-propylamine(TPrA).The voltammetric characterization shows a continuous increase of the number of redox-active sites.Results indicate that ECL signals are proportional to the number of electrodeposited[Ru(bpy)_(3)]^(2+)centers.Such approach combining ECL and stimuli-responsive hydrogels open exciting prospects for developing new(bio)sensing materials. 展开更多

Despite the various synthesis approachs to obtain luminous carbon dots(CDs),it is still quite challenging to construct the efficient electrochemiluminescence(ECL)owing to their low ECL reactivity and easy agglomeration.Herein,an efficient and concise ECL system was skillfully constructed by taking advantage of the nitrogen and sulfur co-doped CDs(N,S-CDs)with surfaces rich in hydrazide groups as luminophors to emit intense ECL,and metal-organic framework(MOF)as the matrix to confine CDs in its nanospace.Surprisingly,the proposed CDs assembled MOF(CDs/ZIF-8)enhanced anodic ECL signal up to 250%of pure CDs under the exogenous coreactant-free condition.As a proof of concept,the highly sensitive detection of uric acid(UA)was realized by the constructed ECL platform with a low detection limit of 3.52 nmol/L ranging from 10 nmol/L to 50μmol/L.This work expanded ideas for the application of pore confinement effect,and provided references for the detection of disease biomarkers of gout and hyperuricemia. 展开更多

Electrochemiluminescent(ECL)technique has drawn increasing attention in a myriad of applications ranging from clinic diagnosis to the environment and food monitoring.The advantages of ECL sensors include high sensitivity,negligible background,and excellent controllability with respect to its counterparts.The past 2 years have witnessed an impetus in the rise of a batch of luminophores and coreactants as advanced materials to boost the ECL efficiencies.In the review,we summarize the latest progress of new ECL biosensing systems,in particular of emerging luminophores,coreactants,and the involved mechanisms.Possible limitations and exciting future developments of the ECL biosensing are also complementarily discussed.It is highly envisioned that the review article would inspire more intriguing advances both in the fundamental research and more demanding practical applications of ECL for prospective biosensing. 展开更多

Soy flour(SF),soy protein and soy protein isolates(SPI)have been the focus of increasing research on their application as new materials for a variety of applications,mainly for wood adhesives and other resins.Tannins too have been the focus of increasing research for similar applications.While both materials are classed as non-toxic and have achieved interesting results the majority of the numerous and rather inventive approaches have still relied on some sort of hardeners or cross-linkers to bring either of them or even their combination to achieve acceptable results.The paper after a presentation of the two materials and their characteristics concentrates on the formation of gels,gelling and even hardening in the case of soy-tannin combined resins.The chapter than finishes with details of the formation of resins giving suitable wood adhesive of acceptable performance by the covalent coreaction of soy protein and tannin without any other hardener,thus totally bio-sourced,non-toxic and environment friendly as a base of further advances to expect in future by these two materials combination. 展开更多
