This analysis only uses latitude and longitude in formation of the capitals with the confirmed cases on May 24, 2020 to illustrate the usefulness of TWC though any date could have been used. There are three types of TWC analyses, each type having five associated algorithms that produce fifteen maps, TWC-Original, TWC-Frequency and TWC-Windowing. We focus on TWC-Original to illustrate our approach. The TWC method without using the transportation information predicts the network for COVID-19 outbreak that matches very well with the main radial transportation routes network in Brazil.展开更多
The Pd-only catalysts for motorcycle were prepared by impregnating CeO2-ZrO2-Al2O3 and CeO2-ZrO2+Al2O3 with PdCl2 aqueous solution and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), oxygen storage capacity (OSC) and H2-tem...The Pd-only catalysts for motorcycle were prepared by impregnating CeO2-ZrO2-Al2O3 and CeO2-ZrO2+Al2O3 with PdCl2 aqueous solution and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), oxygen storage capacity (OSC) and H2-temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR) methods. The XRD result indicated that the CeO2-ZrO2-Al2O3 compound prepared by co-precipitation formed a single solid solution and had good thermal stability, and Pd phase was not observed in all catalysts. The TPR results showed that the reduction temperature of Pd/CeO2-ZrO2-Al2O3 catalyst was lower than that of Pd/CeO2-ZrO2+Al2O3 catalyst whether they were fresh or aged catalysts. The Pd/CeO2-ZrO2-Al2O3 exhibited high three-way catalytic activity at low temperature, high thermal stability, and wide working window, suggesting a great potential for applications.展开更多

On the whole, themain featu...A two-layers numerical model is developed to study the dynamical structures and the formation mechanisms of the summer shelf circulation and the Kuroshio system in the East China Sea (ECS). On the whole, themain features of this region are highly correlated and dynamically stable. The Kuroshio northeast of Taiwan Islandalways intrudes into the shelf, and manifests itself chiefly in the lower layer. The horizontal advection and bottomfriction are the triggering mechanisms for this ageostrophic intrusion current, while the topographic beta-effectmake it intensified towards the northern edge of Taiwan island. After intruding into the shelf, most of the lowerlayer Kuroshio water turns anticyclonically, forming the outer branch of the lower-layer Taiwan Warm Current(TWC). Whether its inner partner can form depends upon the ratio of the upper-to the lower-layer speeds of theKuroshio inflow, and the northward extending of the upper-layer strait warm water. The upper-layer TWC resultsfrom the Taiwan Strait inflow, and a part of it branches out in the open sea off Wenzhou. In this paper,we alsopoint out that the cold-core water mass northeast of Taiwan Island is, in fact,the manifestation of the lower-layerintruslve loop, and the interaction between it and the upper-layer TWC leads to the formation of the well-knownwarm-core gyre. Besides,a preliminary study is also made on the frontal eddy north of Diaoyu Island.展开更多

Several TPC detectors, with high count rates, are planned for parti...HFRS(HIAF FRagment Separator) will be the radioactive secondary beam separation line on High-Intensity heavy-ion Accelerator Facility(HIAF) in China. Several TPC detectors, with high count rates, are planned for particle identification and beam monitoring at HFRS. This paper presents an event-driven internal memory and synchronous readout(EDIMS)prototype ASIC chip. The aim is to provide HFRS-TPC with high-precision time and charge measurements with high count rates and a large dynamic range. The first prototype EDIMS chip integrated 16 channels and is fabricated using a 0.18-μm CMOS process. Each channel consists of a charge-sensitive amplifier, fast shaper, slow shaper, peak detect-and-hold circuit, discriminator with time-walk compensation, analog memory, and FIFO. The token ring is used for clock-synchronous readout. The chip is taped and tested.展开更多
The regulated pollutants (CO,HC and NOx) and unregulated pollutants (volatile organic compounds and carbonyl compounds),emitted from a dual fuel vehicle fueled with gasoline and E10 fuel,are measured under a trans...The regulated pollutants (CO,HC and NOx) and unregulated pollutants (volatile organic compounds and carbonyl compounds),emitted from a dual fuel vehicle fueled with gasoline and E10 fuel,are measured under a transient cycle and steady modes.The impacts of a three-way catalyst (TWC) are investigated for the two types of fuels.The measured results show that NOx and acetaldehyde emitted from the E10-fueled car are much more than that from the gasoline-fueled car under the same modes.On the basis of maximum incremental reactivity (MIR) factors and emissions of organic gases,the ozone specific reactivity of the tailpipe gases are evaluated.展开更多
