江苏海岸湿地总面积超过5000km,但围垦活动的加剧使盐沼湿地面积迅速减少;为了达到海岸防护、保滩促淤的目的,先后引种了大米草和互花米草。通过采集江苏王港潮滩盐沼湿地9处柱状样和挖取探槽剖面,以及对沉积剖面样品进行210Pb和137Cs... 江苏海岸湿地总面积超过5000km,但围垦活动的加剧使盐沼湿地面积迅速减少;为了达到海岸防护、保滩促淤的目的,先后引种了大米草和互花米草。通过采集江苏王港潮滩盐沼湿地9处柱状样和挖取探槽剖面,以及对沉积剖面样品进行210Pb和137Cs测年分析,探讨了210Pb的本底及影响210Pb富集的因素,估算了王港盐沼湿地的现代沉积速率。王港潮滩盐沼沉积物对210Pb的吸附作用较弱;受风暴潮、生物扰动、物源变化及实验误差等因素的影响,在210Pbex剖面上出现了数据异常点,将这些数据点剔除后计算得到的沉积速率为3.3cmyr-1。137Cs测年显示,该地区1963年以来的平均沉积速率3.1cmyr-1,与210Pb法及前人研究结果相一致。根据一个典型剖面的137Cs测年数据分析,王港潮滩盐沼的沉积过程根据地貌特征的不同可分3个阶段,大米草覆盖阶段滩面高程迅速增加,互花米草的生长提高了滩面淤积速率。 展开更多

遥感技术(RS)现已广泛应用于海岸带资源调查、资源与环境动态监测以及滩涂植被定量分析。作者应用2003年8月2日Landsat5-TM多光谱遥感影像,利用遥感处理软件ERDASImagine8.6TM,经几何校正和分幅裁剪等图像预处理后,采用监督分类和目视... 遥感技术(RS)现已广泛应用于海岸带资源调查、资源与环境动态监测以及滩涂植被定量分析。作者应用2003年8月2日Landsat5-TM多光谱遥感影像,利用遥感处理软件ERDASImagine8.6TM,经几何校正和分幅裁剪等图像预处理后,采用监督分类和目视解译相结合的方法对上海地区互花米草(Spartinaalterniflora)扩散现状进行解译分析,并结合全球定位系统(GPS)样点定位,对解译结果进行全面的野外验证和修正。同时,应用地理信息系统(GIS)对解译结果进行数据合成,统计出互花米草分布区域及面积等数据。实际调查与分析统计显示:上海地区互花米草群落总面积(2003年)为4,553.37hm2,占滩涂植被总面积的22.1%。除了崇明西滩和横沙岛外,互花米草群落已广泛分布于长江河口地区,其中南汇边滩最多,为2,069.01hm2,其次是崇明东滩和九段沙,分别为910.17hm2和769.05hm2。人工引种是互花米草种群在上海地区滩涂成功扩散的重要原因。大尺度的上海滩涂互花米草群落空间分布现状及其数量调查为外来物种的宏观定量调查提供了有效的手段,也为上海市滩涂资源生物多样性保护和可持续开发利用提供了科学依据。 展开更多

自1995年首次在崇明东滩发现互花米草(Spartinaalterniflora)以来,该外来种已在东滩扩张成为最具优势的植物之一。作为东滩常见的两种人为干扰,冬季火烧和收割可能会对互花米草的生长和繁殖有一定的促进作用,并可能进一步促进互花米草... 自1995年首次在崇明东滩发现互花米草(Spartinaalterniflora)以来,该外来种已在东滩扩张成为最具优势的植物之一。作为东滩常见的两种人为干扰,冬季火烧和收割可能会对互花米草的生长和繁殖有一定的促进作用,并可能进一步促进互花米草的入侵。因此,作者选择崇明东滩为实验地点,探讨冬季一次性火烧和收割以及相对高程对互花米草生长与繁殖的影响。结果表明:冬季火烧与收割能显著提高互花米草的植株密度和结穗率,显著降低其植株基部直径,即对其生长与繁殖有一定的促进作用,原因可能在于这两种干扰使其生境改变,光照条件得到改善;从Wilks’值的大小可看出,与相对高程相比,这两种干扰对互花米草生长繁殖的影响相对较小,而且这两种干扰对互花米草的影响差异不显著。上述结果表明,冬季火烧与收割将可能促进互花米草在东滩的入侵,有必要采取措施加以管理。 展开更多

中国东部沿海互花米草种群生活史特征的纬度变异与可塑性 被引量:22

互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)于20世纪70年代被引入中国,目前已在东部沿海盐沼湿地中广泛分布,成为海岸带盐沼中危害严重的入侵植物之一。为了研究互花米草在中国入侵区中的适应机制,揭示遗传分化和表型可塑性在该物种成功入侵中的... 互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)于20世纪70年代被引入中国,目前已在东部沿海盐沼湿地中广泛分布,成为海岸带盐沼中危害严重的入侵植物之一。为了研究互花米草在中国入侵区中的适应机制,揭示遗传分化和表型可塑性在该物种成功入侵中的作用,本研究沿纬度梯度在南起广东(22°N)、北至天津(39°N)的沿海样带上采集了10个种群的样本,通过同质园实验比较了不同纬度来源的种群在生活史和生长特征方面是否存在遗传分化,并平行设置高低两个水位处理以比较互花米草对水位变化(不同高程生境条件)的可塑性反应。结果表明,在所研究的互花米草17个性状中有12个存在显著的种群间差异。其中,平均开花日期和相对生长率(植株高度)表现出显著的纬度梯度变异:随着纬度的升高,开花时间提前,相对生长速率(植株高度)趋于增加。同时17个性状中有9个在不同水位处理之间存在显著差异。这些结果表明,遗传分化可能是互花米草能够快速占据广阔分布区的重要原因之一,而表型可塑性可能对互花米草在小尺度上占据不同高程环境的过程有重要作用。 展开更多

Spartina alterniflora Loisel, a species vegetating in intertidal flats along the eastern coast of the United States, was introduced in China almost 30 years ago and has become an urgent topic due to its invasiveness in the coastal zone of China. The impacts of this alien species S. alterniflora on intertidal ecosystem processes in the Jiangsu coastland were investigated by comparing the sediment nutrient availability and trace element concentration characteristics in a mud flat and those of a four-year old Spartina salt marsh that had earlier been a mudflat. At each study site, fifteen plots were sampled in different seasons to determine the sediment characteristics along the tidal flats. The results suggested that Spartina salt marsh sediments had significantly higher total N, available P, and water content, but lower pH and bulk density than mudflat sediments. Sediment salinity, water content, total N, organic C, and available P decreased along a seaward gradient in the Spartina salt marsh and increased with vegetation biomass. Furthermore, the concentrations of trace elements and some metal elements in the sediment were higher under Spartina although these increases were not significant. Also, in the Spartina marsh, some heavy metals were concentrated in the surface layer of the sediment. The Spartina salt marsh in this study was only four years old; therefore, it is suggested that further study of this allen species on a longer time frame in the Jiangsu coastland should be carried out. 展开更多

土壤氮含量是限制植物生长的重要因素,所以入侵植物要入侵成功必须突破土壤氮限制的瓶颈。近年来,外来种互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)在中国海岸带盐沼中快速取代土著种芦苇(Phragmites australis),引起了多方面的生态学后果。为了... 土壤氮含量是限制植物生长的重要因素,所以入侵植物要入侵成功必须突破土壤氮限制的瓶颈。近年来,外来种互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)在中国海岸带盐沼中快速取代土著种芦苇(Phragmites australis),引起了多方面的生态学后果。为了解互花米草与本地种芦苇空中凋落物的氮含量是否存在差异及产生这种差异的机制,2003年11月至2004年4月,作者在长江口九段沙湿地对互花米草与芦苇空中凋落物氮含量(单位面积凋落物的总氮量,Ng/m2)进行了测定,结果表明互花米草的氮含量比芦苇高。在空中分解过程中,互花米草茎(包括叶鞘与秆)凋落物的氮含量显著上升,但芦苇茎凋落物的氮含量显著降低。2006年1月,又对中国海岸带6个地点的盐沼中互花米草的凋落物进行取样和氮浓度测定,发现互花米草空中叶鞘与秆的老凋落物(2004年冬季产生)的氮浓度均显著高于其新产生的凋落物(2005年冬季产生),表明在空中分解过程中,互花米草叶鞘与秆凋落物氮含量增加具有普遍性。进一步的温室受控实验结果表明,互花米草凋落物氮含量增加可能是由腐生固氮微生物引起的。以上结果表明,互花米草取代芦苇后,改变了空中凋落物的氮动态,增加了生态系统中氮的输入,可能有利于互花米草的快速扩张。 展开更多

Biochar (BC) and rhamnolipid (RL) is used in bioremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons,however,the combined effect of BC and RL in phytoremediation has not been studied until now.In this paper,the phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbon-contaminated soil using novel plant Spartina anglica was enhanced by the combination of biochar (BC) and rhamnolipid (RL).Samples of petroleum-contaminated soil (10,30 and 50 g/kg) were amended by BC,BC+ RL and rhamnolipid modified biochar (RMB),respectively.After 60 day's cultivation,the removal rate of total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPHs) for unplanted soil (UP),planted soil (P),planted soil with BC addition (P-BC),planted soil with BC and RL addition (P-BC + RL) and planted soil with addition ofRMB (P-RMB) were 8.6%,19.1%,27.7%,32.4% and 35.1% in soil with TPHs concentration of 30 g/kg,respectively.Compared with UP,the plantation of Spartina anglica significantly decreased the concentration of C8-14 and tricyclic PAHs.Furthermore,the application of BC and RMB alleviated the toxicity of petroleum hydrocarbons to Spartina anglica via improving plant growth with increasing plant height,root vitality and total chlorophyll content.High-throughput sequencing result indicated that rhizosphere microbial community of Spartina anglica was regulated by the application of BC and RMB,with increase of bacteria and plant mycorrhizal symbiotic fungus in biochar and RMB amended soil. 展开更多

为了解互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)入侵红树林的生态影响,作者对位于北海市西村港的红树林湿地以及周边互花米草盐沼的大型底栖动物群落多样性和群落结构进行了研究。2012年10月至2013年9月连续4次取样,按照取样时间研究大型底栖... 为了解互花米草(Spartina alterniflora)入侵红树林的生态影响,作者对位于北海市西村港的红树林湿地以及周边互花米草盐沼的大型底栖动物群落多样性和群落结构进行了研究。2012年10月至2013年9月连续4次取样,按照取样时间研究大型底栖动物的种类、物种组成、生物量和生物多样性等群落特征的差异,探讨互花米草入侵红树林湿地对大型底栖动物的影响。本研究共采集底栖动物16种,隶属于5门7纲15科,其中互花米草群落10种,红树林湿地12种。研究发现互花米草入侵后中国绿螂(Glauconome chinensis)个体数量剧增,导致不同采样时间互花米草盐沼的大型底栖动物生物量均显著高于红树林湿地;除个别月份外,红树林湿地大型底栖动物的Margalef丰富度指数、Shannon-Wiener多样性指数、Simpson多样性指数和Pielou均匀度指数均显著高于互花米草群落。基于生境–采样时间的双因素方差分析结果表明,Shannon-Wiener多样性指数和Simpson指数在两种生境间差异显著;两种生境的Margalef丰富度和Pielou均匀度指数在不同采样时间差异显著;大型底栖动物生物量和物种数量在两种生境间和不同采样时间差异均显著。基于多元回归分析的研究结果表明,互花米草密度是影响大型底栖动物生物量的关键因子,而互花米草株高可以解释物种个体数量、Shannon-Wiener多样性指数和Simpson指数在两种生境的变化。对不同采样时间大型底栖动物群落结构的非度量多维度(non-metric multidimensional scaling,NMDS)分析结果表明,红树林与互花米草群落的大型底栖动物群落相似性很低。总而言之,在西村港地区,互花米草入侵虽然增加了大型底栖动物的生物量,但由于优势物种的凸显,显著降低了大型底栖动物群落的多样性,且种类组成与群落结构与红树林群落相比已有差异。由此可见,互花米草入侵红树林对当地的大型底栖 展开更多

Impact of the cord-grass Spartina alterniflora on sedimentary and morphological evolution of tidal salt marshes on the Jiangsu coast,China 被引量:15

The tidal flats of the Wanggang area, on the Jiangsu coast, represent the largest continuously distributed coastal wetland in terms of area coverage in China, and the dynamics of tidal flat accretion and erosion is highly complicated. The cord-grass Spartina alterniflora, which was introduced artificially into the Jiangsu coast, has significant influences on the regional tidal flat evolution in terms of deposition rate, spacial sediment distribution patterns and tidal creek morphology. On the basis of the data set of bed elevation and accumulation rate for different periods of time, the applicability of the Pethick - Allen model to the Jiangsu tidal salt marshes is discussed. In addition, caesium-137 dating was carried out for sediment samples collected from the salt marsh of the Wangang area. In combination with the caesium-137 analysis and the data collected from literature, the Pethick - Allen model was used to derive the accumulation rate in the Wanggang tidal flat for the various periods. The results show that the pattern of tidal flat accretion has been modified, due to more rapid accretion following the iatroduction of S. alterniflora to the region. Surficial sediment samples were collected from representative profiles and analyzed for grain size with a laser particle analyzer. The result shows that fine-grained sediment has been trapped by the plant, with most of the sediment deposited on the Suaeda salsa and Spartina angelica flats being derived from drainage creeks rather than the from gently sloping tidal flats. Remote sensing analysis and in situ observations indicate that the creeks formed in the S. alterniflora flat have a relatively small ratio of width to depth, a relatively high density, and are more stable than the other tidal flat creek systems in the study area. 展开更多

Spartina alterniflora is ecologically important in its original habitat; however, it has caused controversy since it was introduction into China(now it has been spreading rapidly on the Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Fujian coasts). The purpose of the present contribution is, on the basis of an analysis and synthesis of existing data sets, to evaluate the environmental-ecological effects of S. alterniflora, and to identify the relevant scientific problems that require further research in the future. Investigations have shown that, by reducing the near-bed shear stress associated with tidal currents, S. alterniflora can enhance the settling flux of suspended sediment and deposition rate on the tidal flats over the region. Further, field survey and analysis indicate that the S. alterniflora salt-marsh has a high primary production and provides a new type of habitat for the native benthic fauna. Some macro-, meio- and micro-fauna that used to live in the native salt-marshes have adapted to the S. alterniflora salt-marsh, forming a new ecosystem. Under the influences of a number of background factors, such as latitude variations and the coastal type, the environmental-ecological changes induced by Spartine have regional differentiations. To the north of Hangzhou Bay, with a high position of the pre-Holocene stratum base, a large width of the tidal flats, and a gentle bed slope, only a small part of the intertidal zone is occupied by the S. alterniflora salt-marsh. Here, the S. alterniflora salt-marshes mainly play a positive role in coastal protection and ecosystem functioning. In contrary, to the South of Hangzhou Bay, The pre-Holocene deposits are situated in relatively deeo waters, and the width of the tidal flats formed within coastal embayments is relatively narrow. As such, the expansion of S. alterniflora has squeezed the living space of other intertidal organisms, thus has a negative ecological effect. Four sites were selected in a salt marsh in the Bahia Blanca Estuary (Argentina): (1) low marsh (flooded by the tide twice daily) vegetated by S. alterniflora; (2) non-vegetated low marsh; (3) high marsh (flooded only in spring tides) vegetated by S. alterniflora; (4) non-vegetated high marsh. The pH and Eh were measured in sediments, while dissolved nutrients (ammonium, nitrate, nitrite and phosphate) and particulate organic matter (POM) were determined in pore water, pH (6.2-8.7) was only affected by vegetation in low areas. Eh (from -300 to 250 mV) was lower at low sites than at high ones; in the latter, the values were higher in the non-vegetated sediments. The POM concentration was greater in the high marsh than in the low marsh, with no effect of vegetation. Ammonium was the most abundant nitrogen nutrient species in pore water, except in the non-vegetated high marsh where nitrate concentration was higher. All nitrogen nutrients were affected by both flooding and vegetation. Phosphate was always present in pore water at all sites throughout the year and its concentration varied within narrow limits, with no effect of flooding and greater values always at non-vegetated sites. Our results showed that the variability of the pore water composition within the marsh is greater than the temporal variation, meaning that both tidal flooding and vegetation are important in the dynamics of nutrients and organic matter in the sediment pore water. 展开更多

The exotic species Spartina alterniflora(S.alterniflora)seriously threatens the stability and functioning of saltmarsh ecosystems in the Yangtze Estuary.Ambitious efforts have been undertaken to control this species,but subsequent re-invasion is frequent,presenting a significant barrier to restoration.The complexity and high cost of integrated physical control programs has necessitated a shift in focus,leading to considerable attention being paid to the potential of herbicides to control S.alterniflora.To find a strategy for emergency control of small and scattered patches of re-invading S.alterniflora,an in situ field experiment using Gallant(Haloxyfop-R-methyl)herbicide was conducted.The growth parameters of plant density and height were used to evaluate the control efficiency of different treatment dosages and times and sediment samples were taken for environmental toxicity analysis.The results show the following:(1)the control efficacy of the maximum proposed application dose(2.70 g/m2)was 92%for continuous swards and 100%for small patches,while those of other dosages(0.45 g/m2,0.90 g/m2,and 1.35 g/m2)were lower than 40%;(2)the appropriate implementation time was July to August with 100%mortality resulting from a single application,while S.alterniflora was shown to be capable of recovering rapidly after treatment in May;and(3)there were no significant differences in the community structure of meiofauna among the herbicide treatments and the control,and no herbicide residues were detected in sediment samples collected from treatment areas.This chemical control method was implemented in the Shanghai Chongming Dongtan National Bird Nature Reserve(CDNR).The results of this study indicate that Gallant is an environmentally friendly herbicide with high efficiency,which can be adopted for emergency control of re-invading S.alterniflora. 展开更多

The nitrogen (N) input and Spartina alterniflora invasion in the tidal marsh of the southeast of China are increasingly serious. To evaluate CH4 emissions in the tidal marsh as affected by the N inputs and S. alterniflora invasion, we measured CH4 emissions from plots with vegetated S. alterniflora and native Cyperus malaccensis, and fertilized with exogenous N at the rate of 0 (NO), 21 (N1) and 42 (N2) g N/(m2.yr), respectively, in the Shanyutan marsh in the Minjiang River estuary, the southeast of China. The average CH4 fluxes during the experiment in the C. malaccensis and S. alterniflora plots without N addition were 3.67 mg CHa/(m2.h) and 7.79 mg CH4/(m2-h), respectively, suggesting that the invasion of S. alterniflora into the Minjiang River estuary stimulated CH4 emission. Exogenous N had positive effects on CH4 fluxes both in native and in invaded tidal marsh. The mean CH4 fluxes of NI and N2 treat- ments increased by 31.05% and 123.50% in the C. malaccensis marsh, and 63.88% and 7.55% in the S. alterniflora marsh, respectively, compared to that of NO treatment. The CH4 fluxes in the two marshes were positively correlated with temperature and pH, and nega- tively correlated with electrical conductivity and redox potential (Eh) at different N addition treatments. While the relationships between CH4 fluxes and environmental variables (especially soil temperature, pH and Eh at different depths) tended to decrease with N additions. Significant temporal variability in CH4 fluxes were observed as the N was gradually added to the native and invaded marshes. In order to better assess the global climatic role of tidal marshes as affected by N addition, much more attention should be paid to the short-term temporal variability in CH4 emission. 展开更多

Benthic macroinvertebrate communities in Spartina alterniflora zones in the Yangtze Estuary, in China, were investigated seasonally in 2005, and their structure and biodiversity were analyzed. Twenty-one species were identified, across four Classes; 10 species of Crustacea, five species of Polychaeta, five species of Gastropoda, and one species of Lamellibranchia. Dominant species included: Assiminea sp., Notomastus latericeus, Cerithidea largillierl, Gtauconome chinensi and Gammaridae sp. Functional groups were comprised of a phytophagous group and a detritivorous group. The average density of all benthic macroinvertebrates was 650.5 ±719.2 inds/m^2 in the survey area. The high value of the standard deviation of the average density was a result of abundant Assiminea sp. at Beihu tidal flats. The average density of macroinvertebrates from Beihu tidal flat, Chongming Dongtan to Jinshanwei tidal flat decreased gradually. There was significant difference between compositions and abundance of macroinvertebrates along the estuary gradient (P 〈 0.05). The density and biodiversity were highest in summer and lowest in winter. The mean biomass of macroinvertebrates was 20.8 ± 6.1 g/m^2. Biomass changed seasonally in the same way as density, with the change in biomass being: summer (Aug.) 〉autumn (Oct.) 〉spring (Apr.) 〉 winter (Dec.). A BIO-ENV analysis showed that the mean grain size of sediment, height of Spartina and salinity were the ma- jor factors which affected the structure of the macroinvertebrate community. Variations in the community structure were probably caused by the population dynamics of S. alterniflora along with the variation in sampling time and location. 展开更多
