It has been shown that mitochondrial injury and energy depletion are the earliest intracellular events in the early phase of AP. Moreover, it has been revealed that restoration of intracellular ATP level restores cellular functions and defends the cells from death. We have recently shown in a systematic review and meta-analysis that early enteral feeding is beneficial in adults; however, no reviews are available concerning the effect of early enteral feeding in pediatric AP. In this minireview, our aim was to systematically analyse the literature on the treatmentof acute pediatric pancreatitis. The preferred reporting items for systematic review(PRISMA-P) were followed, and the question was drafted based on participants, intervention, comparison and outcomes: P: patients under the age of twenty-one suffering from acute pancreatitis; I: early enteral nutrition (per os and nasogastric- or nasojejunal tube started within 48 h); C: nil per os therapy; O: length of hospitalization, need for treatment at an intensive care unit, development of severe AP, lung injury (including lung oedema and pleural effusion), white blood cell count and pain score on admission. Altogether, 632 articles (Pub Med: 131; EMBASE: 501) were found. After detailed screening of eligible papers, five of them met inclusion criteria. Only retrospective clinical trials were available. Due to insufficient information from the authors, it was only possible to address length of hospitalization as an outcome of the study. Our mini-meta-analysis showed that early enteral nutrition significantly(SD = 0.806, P = 0.034) decreases length of hospitalization compared with nil per os diet in acute pediatric pancreatitis. In this minireview, we clearly show that early enteral nutrition, started within 24-48 h, is beneficial in acute pediatric pancreatitis. The QTL qTGW3-1 was located on chromosome 3 of rice (Oryza sativa L.) and associated with the 1 000-grain weight (TGW) according to the result of our earlier study. With the objective of fine mapping of this locus, we developed a F2 population consisting of 3 428 plants derived from the cross between TGW-related near isogenic line DL017 (BC3F4 generation of GSL 156×Nipponbare) and the recurrent parent Nipponbare. Using six microsatellites, this QTL was delimited between RM5477 and RM6417. Markers MM 1455 and MM 1456 within this region were used for further mapping of this QTL. Finally, qTGW3-1 was fine-mapped into a 89-kb interval between RM5477 and MM1456, which locates in the BAC clone AC107226 harboring five putative candidate genes.展开更多

Two expressed cDNA fragments were isolated from wheat genome. One showed 83% homology to the Mlo gene of barley. The other contained two possible open reading frames (ORFs). NBS conservative domains 2, 3 of disease resistance gene and 13 LRR structures similar to rice Pib protein terminal were found respectively in the two ORFs. It indicated that the latter fragment belongs to NBS-LRR-like genes. The obvious difference of RT-PCR products was observed between the before challenged and the challenged for 72 h by Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici, which, implied that this sequence could be associated with disease resistance of wheat. Soybean mutants withα-nullβ-conglycinin are associated with high nutritional value and low allergenic risk.Although long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are increasingly recognized as functional regulatory components affecti...Soybean mutants withα-nullβ-conglycinin are associated with high nutritional value and low allergenic risk.Although long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)are increasingly recognized as functional regulatory components affecting eukaryotic gene expression,little is known about lnc RNA profiles inα-null-type hypoallergenic soybeans.In this study,a genome-wide integrative analysis of lncRNAs,m RNAs and epigenomic data in the soybean cgy-2(confirmedα-null)near-isogenic line(NIL)and its recurrent parent Dongnong47(DN47)was conducted.Nineteen novel lncRNAs that were differentially expressed(DE)only in the NIL at 18 days after flowering(i.e.,α-null-associated DE lncRNAs)were delected.Sixteen putative soybean stress-responsive lncRNAs were identified,and observed to regulate 257 stress-related genes DE in the NIL.This result indicated that theα-null allele might represent an intrinsic defect stress that altered the expression of various stress-related genes inα-null-type hypoallergenic soybean.Additionally,25 epigenetic-related lncRNAs regulated 831 DE epigenetic-related genes and simultaneously initiated multiple epigenetic activities,including ubiquitination,methylation and acetylation.Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes(KEGG)analysis indicated that the biosynthesis of amino acids pathway was enriched with 83 DE genes regulated by nine DE lncRNAs.Changes in the expression of these lncRNAs and genes might be the reason for the altered amino acid composition in the NIL.Among all detected DE lncRNAs,MSTRG.12518 was the most conspicuousα-null-specific cis/trans-lnc RNA that played an efficient,versatile and vital role in the NIL.The data indicated that the lnc RNA profile differed between the NIL and DN47.Variations in lncRNAs,gene expression levels and DNA methylation states likely contributed to the intrinsic defect stress response mechanism inα-null-type hypoallergenic soybeans.展开更多
