Result of the inverted tectonic stresses shows that the maximum principal stress axis strikes nearly north-south direction in the west part of Tibet plateau, ENE direction in North China. In Central China, its strikes show a ra- diated pattern, i.e., NNE in north part and NNW in south part. The detailed stress field parameters of nearly whole China are given and can be used in geodynamic stress field simulation and earthquake prediction.展开更多

The microstructure of the alloys and the corroded surface of the specimens were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry and emission spectrum analysis. It can be concluded that the addition of 1%Ga (molar fraction) reduces corrosion current density from 26.98 mA/cm2 to 2.34 mA/cm2; while the addition of 1%Hg (molar fraction) increases corrosion current density. The addition of Ga and Hg both promotes the electrochemical activity of the alloys and the influence of Ga is more effective than Hg. Mg-5%Hg-1%Ga alloy has the best electrochemical activity, showing mean potential of -1.992 V. The activation mechanism of the magnesium alloy produced by Hg and Ga was put forward. Magnesium atoms are dissolved in liquid Hg and Ga to form amalgam and undergo severe oxidation at the amalgam/electrolyte interface.展开更多

The research on soil erodibility is a crucial tache in understanding the mechanism of soil erosion. Soil erodibility can be evaluated by measuring soil physiochemical properties, scouring experiment, simulated rainfall experiment, plot experiment and wind tunnel experiment. We can use soil erosion model and nomogram to calculate soil erodibility. Many soil erodibility indices and formulae have been put forward. Soil erodibility is a complex concept, it is influenced by many factors, such as soil properties and human activities. Several obstacles restrict the research of soil erodibility. Firstly, the research on soil erodibility is mainly focused on farmland; Secondly, soil erodibility in different areas cannot be compared sufficiently; and thirdly, the research on soil erodibility in water-wind erosion is very scarce. In the prospective research, we should improve method to measure and calculate soil erodibility, strengthen the research on the mechanism of soil erodibility, and conduct research on soil erodibility by both water and wind agents.展开更多
