Using Landsat TM data of 1988, 1998 and 2001, the dynamic process of the spatial-temporal characteristics of land use changes during 13 years from 1988 to 2001 in the special economic zone of Xiamen, China was analyzed to improve understanding and to find the driving forces of land use change so that sustainable land utilization could be practiced. During the 13 years cropland decreased remarkably by nearly 11304.95 ha. The areas of rural-urban construction and water body increased by 10 152.24 ha and 848.94 ha, respectively. From 1988 to 2001, 52.5% of the lost cropland was converted into rural-urban industrial land. Rapid urbanization contributed to a great change in the rate of cropland land use during these years. Land-reclamation also contributed to a decrease in water body area as well as marine ecological and environmental destruction. In the study area 1) urbanization and industrialization, 2) infrastructure and agricultural intensification, 3) increased affluence of the farming community, and 4) policy factors have driven the land use changes. Possible sustainable land use measures included construction of a land management system, land planning, development of potential land resources, new technology applications, and marine ecological and environmental protection. 展开更多

The present paper estimates the average annual growth rate of potential output to be 7.2percent over the 12th Five-year Plan period and 6.1 percent over the 13th Five-year Plan period. Future sustainable growth requires furthering economic reform in related areas to enhance potential growth. This paper simulates two scenarios in which both an increase in labor force participation and improvement in total factor productivity can significantly enhance the potential GDP growth rate. The hydrodynamics of turbulent flow through submerged flexible vegetation is investigated in a flume using acoustic Doppler velocimetery(ADV)measurements.The flow characteristics such as the energetics and momentum transfer derived from convcntional spectral and quadrant analyses are considered as the flow encounters a finite vegetation patch.Consistent with numerous canopy flow experiments,a shear layer and coherent vortex structures near the canopy top emerge caused by Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities after the flow equilibrates with the vegetated layer.These in stabilities are commonly attributed to velocity differences between non-vegetated and vegetated canopy layers in agreement with numerous experiments and simulations conducted on dense rigid canopies.The power-spectral density function for vertical velocity turbulent fluctuations at different downstream positions starting from the edge of the vegetation layer are also computed.For a preset water depth,the dominant dimensionless frequency is found to be surprisingly invariant around 0.027 despite large differences in vegetation densities.The ejection and sweep events significantly contribute to the Reynolds stresses near the top of the vegetation.The momentum flux carried by ejections is larger than its counterpart carried by the sweeps above the canopy top.However,the momentum flux carried by sweeps is larger below the top of the canopy. 展开更多

In this paper, the instantaneous undeformed chip thickness is modeled to include the dynamic modulation caused by the tool vibration while the dynamic regenerative effects are taken into account. The numerical method is used to solve the differential equations goveming the dynamics of the milling system. Several chatter detection criteria are applied synthetically to the simulated signals and the stability diagram is obtained in time-domain. The simulation results in time-domain show a good agreement with the analytical prediction, which is validated by the cutting experiments. By simulating the chatter stability lobes in the time-domain and analyzing the influences of different spindle speeds on the vibration amplitudes of the tool under a Fixed chip-load condition, conclusions could be drawn as follows: In rough milling, higher machining efficiency can be achieved by selecting a spindle speed corresponding to the axial depth of cut in accordance with the simulated chatter stability lobes, and in Fmish milling, lower surface roughness can be achieved by selecting a spindle speed well beyond the resonant frequency of machining system. 展开更多

AIM:To investigate whether a noninvasive measurement of tissue strain has a potential usefulness for management of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH).METHODS:In total 26 patients,23 NASHs and 3 normal controls were enrolled in this study.NASH was staged based on Brunt criterion.At a region of interest(ROI),a shear wave was evoked by implementing an acoustic radiation force impulse(ARFI),and the propagation velocity was quantif ied.RESULTS:Shear wave velocity(SWV) could be reproducibly quantified at all ROIs in all subjects except for 4 NASH cases,in which a reliable SWV value was not calculated at several ROIs.An average SWV of 1.34 ± 0.26 m/s in fibrous stage 0-1 was significantly slower than 2.20 ± 0.74 m/s and 2.90 ± 1.01 m/s in stages 3 and 4,respectively,but was not significantly different from 1.79 ± 0.78 m/s in stage 2.When a cutoff value was set at 1.47 m/s,receiver operating characteristic analysis showed significance to dissociate stages 3 and 4 from stage 0-1(P=0.0092) with sensitivity,specificity and area under curve of 100%,75% and 94.2%,respectively.In addition,the correlation between SWV and hyaluronic acid was significant(P<0.0001),while a tendency toward negative correlation was observed with serum albumin(P=0.053).CONCLUSION:The clinical implementation of ARFI provides noninvasive repeated evaluations of liver stiffness at an arbitrary position,which has the potential to shed new light on NASH management. 展开更多

目的:本研究旨在拟定手法操作参数规范。方法:应用三维运动解析系统和推拿手法测试系统同步采集受试者的手法操作数据。受试者为每一种研究纳入手法专家3名;研究纳入手法榱法、一指禅推法、掌摩法、掌按法、指按法、掌揉法、鱼际揉法、... 目的:本研究旨在拟定手法操作参数规范。方法:应用三维运动解析系统和推拿手法测试系统同步采集受试者的手法操作数据。受试者为每一种研究纳入手法专家3名;研究纳入手法榱法、一指禅推法、掌摩法、掌按法、指按法、掌揉法、鱼际揉法、侧击法、拍法、四指拿法、指振法及掌擦法12种手法;手法操作严格按照手法操作标准的要求进行,每种手法按照受试者个人临床经验按用力大小分为轻、中、重三型进行采集,同一手法类型每个受试者操作2遍,每遍30 s,中间间隔10 min。在测试采样全部结束后,回放采样曲线和数据,选择连续周期稳定的数据,用自行开发的配套数据分析软件进行数据处理,分析手法的三维力、周期和频率。结果:拟定了攘法、一指禅推法、掌摩法、掌按法、指按法、掌揉法、鱼际揉法、侧击法、拍法、四指拿法、指振法及掌擦法等12种手法力与频率的操作参数规范。结论:力与频率是推拿手法的主要特征,但并不是力量越大、频率越快,手法的疗效就越好,每一种手法有其一定的施力范围和频率范围。 展开更多

AIM: To evaluate cut-off values and performance of acoustic radiation force impulse imaging (ARFI) using transient elastography [FibroScan■ (FS)] as a reference. METHODS: Six hundred and six patients were enrolled in this study.All patients underwent liver stiffness measurement with FS (FS-LS) and ARFI (with shear wave velocity quantification; ARFI-SWV) and the performance of ARFI in comparison to FS was determined. Sixtyeight patients underwent liver biopsy. RESULTS: Significantly higher success rates for the determination of liver stiffness were found using ARFI as compared to FS [604/606 (99.7%) vs 482/606 (79.5%); P < 0.001]. ARFI-SWV correlated significantly with FS-LS (r = 0.920, P < 0.001). ARFI-SWV increased significantly with the stage of fibrosis (1.09 ± 0.13 m/s for patients with no significant fibrosis (FS-LS < 7.6 kPa); 1.46 ± 0.27 m/s for patients with significant liver fibrosis (7.6 < FS-LS ≤ 13.0 kPa); and 2.55 ± 0.77 m/s for patients with liver cirrhosis (FS-LS > 13.0 kPa)). ARFI-SWV cut-off values were identified for no significant fibrosis (1.29 m/s; sensitivity 91.4% and specificity 92.6%) and for liver cirrhosis (1.60 m/s; sensitivity 92.3% and specificity 96.5%). The optimal cut-off value for predicting liver fibrosis (F ≥ 2) was 1.32 m/s (sensitivity 87.0% and specificity 80.0%) and for liver cirrhosis (F4) 1.62 m/s (sensitivity 100% and specificity 85.7%), for patients who underwent liver biopsy. An excellent inter-and intraobserver reproducibility was observed for ARFI-SWV determinations. CONCLUSION: An ARFI-SWV cut-off value of 1.29 m/s seems to be optimal for patients with no significant liver fibrosis and 1.60 m/s for patients with liver cirrhosis. 展开更多

Based on the theory that sliding force is greater than the shear resistance (resisting force) at the potential slip surface is the necessary and sufficient condition to occur the landslide as the sliding criterion, the principle and method for sliding force remote monitoring is presented, and the functional relationship between the human mechanical quantity and the natural sliding force is derived, hereby, the natural sliding force can be calculated according to the human mechanical quantity. Based on above principle and method, a new system of landslide remote monitoring is designed and 53 systems are installed on the landslide body in the Luoshan mining area, which make up the landslide remote monitoring network. According to the results of field test around 8 months, monitoring curves between sliding force and time are obtained, which can describe and forecast the develop trend of landslide. According to above analysis, the results show that this system has some following advantages: (1) real-time monitoring; (2) remote intelligent transmission; (3) landslides early warning. 展开更多

Spatial differences and driving forces of land urbanization in China 被引量:28

Land urbanization plays an important supporting and restriction role in the rapid and sustainable development of urbanization in China, and it shows distinctive spatial heteroge- neity. Applying urban area as the basic research unit and urban construction land area as the core indicator, this paper establishes the conceptual framework and calculation method for the quantity and rate of land urbanization process. The study evaluates the spatial differen- tiation pattern of absolute and relative process of land urbanization in 658 cities in China from 2000 to 2010. The spatial distribution of cities with rapid land urbanization process is dis- cussed, and the contribution rate and its spatial heterogeneity of major land use types are examined with the aid of GIS. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) Land urbanization in China shows a clear spatial difference. The greater the city scale, the faster its land urbani- zation. The cities with rapid land urbanization show a significant pattern of central distribution in coastal regions and a scattered distribution in the inland regions. (2) Over the last 10 years, the average quantity of land urbanization in the 656 cities was 3.82 km2, the quantity of land urbanization is differentiated by administrative grade. The average rate of land urbanization was 6.89%, obviously faster than the speed of population urbanization. The rate of land ur- banization reveals a pattern of differentiation between coastal and other cities. (3) In the past 10 years, the two primary land use types associated with land urbanization in China are residential and industrial, with a combined contribution rate of 52.49%. The greater the scale of the city, the more significant the driving effect of industrial land. In small- and medium-scale cities of the western and central regions, the growth of residential land is the primary driver of land urbanization, while in coastal urban agglomerations and cities on important communica- tion axes, the growth of industrial land is the main 展开更多

Chronic hepatitis B(CHB)infection is a major public health problem associated with significant morbidity and mortality worldwide.Twenty-three percent of patients with CHB progress naturally to liver cirrhosis,which was earlier thought to be irreversible.However,it is now known that cirrhosis can in fact be reversed by treatment with oral anti-nucleotide drugs.Thus,early and accurate diagnosis of cirrhosis is important to allow an appropriate treatment strategy to be chosen and to predict the prognosis of patients with CHB.Liver biopsy is the reference standard for assessment of liver fibrosis.However,the method is invasive,and is associated with pain and complications that can be fatal.In addition,intra-and inter-observer variability compromises the accuracy of liver biopsy data.Only small tissue samples are obtained and fibrosis is heterogeneous in such samples.This confounds the two types of observer variability mentioned above.Such limitations have encouraged development of non-invasive methods for assessment of fibrosis.These include measurements of serum biomarkers of fibrosis;and assessment of liver stiffness via transient elastography,acoustic radiation force impulse imaging,real-time elastography,or magnetic resonance elastography.Although significant advances have been made,most work to date has addressed the diagnostic utility of these techniques in the context of cirrhosis caused by chronic hepatitis C infection.In the present review,we examine the advantages afforded by use of non-invasive methods to diagnose cirrhosis in patients with CHB infections and the utility of such methods in clinical practice. 展开更多

This paper reports the design methodology and control strategy in the development of a novel hexapod robot HITCR-II that is suitable for walking on unstructured terrain. First, the entire sensor system is designed to equip the robot with the perception of external environment and its internal states. The structure parameters are optimized for improving the dexterity of the robot. Second, a foot-force distribution model and a compensation model are built to achieve posture control. The two models are capable of effectively improving the stability of hexapod walking on unstructured terrain. Finally, the Posture Control strategy based on Force Distribution and Compensation (PCFDC) is applied to the HITCR-II hexapod robot. The experimental results show that the robot can effectively restrain the vibration of trunk and keep stable while walking and crossing over the un- structured terrains. 展开更多

Since the invention of optical tweezers,optical manipulation has advanced significantly in scientific areas such as atomic physics,optics and biological science.Especially in the past decade,numerous optical beams and nanoscale devices have been proposed to mechanically act on nanoparticles in increasingly precise,stable and flexible ways.Both the linear and angular momenta of light can be exploited to produce optical tractor beams,tweezers and optical torque from the microscale to the nanoscale.Research on optical forces helps to reveal the nature of light–matter interactions and to resolve the fundamental aspects,which require an appropriate description of momenta and the forces on objects in matter.In this review,starting from basic theories and computational approaches,we highlight the latest optical trapping configurations and their applications in bioscience,as well as recent advances down to the nanoscale.Finally,we discuss the future prospects of nanomanipulation,which has considerable potential applications in a variety of scientific fields and everyday life. 展开更多
