In the applications of superconducting materials,the critical current density J_(c)(B)is a crucial performance parameter.The conventional method of measuring J_(c)(B)of bulk superconductor is magnetization method.Howe...In the applications of superconducting materials,the critical current density J_(c)(B)is a crucial performance parameter.The conventional method of measuring J_(c)(B)of bulk superconductor is magnetization method.However,there are errors in the estimation of J_(c)(B)in the lower field,and the estimation is not applicable in the region where the magnetic field reverses.In this paper,J_(c)(B)of the bulk superconductor is determined by the hysteresis and magnetostriction loops with artificial neural network(ANN),respectively.Compared with double‐output ANN,the critical current density obtained by single‐output ANN is more accurate.Finally,the prediction results given by the hysteresis and magnetostriction loops are discussed.展开更多

The present work examines the key points of Hongkyung Kim's sophisticated account of Laozi's origins as a syncretic text. It then goes on to present the key points of what would have to be involved in its original circulations as a synthetic text. It concludes by suggesting a middle ground that is able to explain why an originally synthetic Laozi is all too easily read by modem scholars as a syncretic text.展开更多

Purpose: The objective of this paper is to testify the effect of ontology-based semantic annotation on the performance of document retrieval.Design/methodology/approach: An integrated document retrieval method is put ...Purpose: The objective of this paper is to testify the effect of ontology-based semantic annotation on the performance of document retrieval.Design/methodology/approach: An integrated document retrieval method is put forward in this paper, in which the entities of documents are annotated by the upper ontology and domain ontology, then the documents are further indexed by the entity annotation as well as traditional keywords.Findings: The research result shows that the structured entity retrieval and relation retrieval can be realized by the ontology-based entity index, which is beyond the ability of the tradition keyword-based retrieval. Meanwhile, the experiment shows that the recall and precision of document retrieval are improved effectively.Research limitations: Due to the small amount of our current tourism domain ontology, the document retrieval with the ontology-based semantic index is limited by the size of ontology and the precision of semantic annotation. Meanwhile, the semantic annotation algorithm mainly relies on the current information extraction strategy of KIM Platform. Therefore,the performance of disambiguation and relation extraction algorithm need to be further improved.Practical implications: Our method can improve the efficiency of document retrieval system,which facilitates the knowledge and document management in corporations, governments and other organizations.Originality/value: The integrated document retrieval method proposed in the paper can combine the entity index based on the general ontology with domain ontology and the keyword index. Our result verified the effectiveness of the combined index strategy.展开更多

The mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) p38α is a key regulator in many cellular processes, whose activity is tightly regulated by upstream kinases, phosphatases and other regulators. Transforming growth factor-...The mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) p38α is a key regulator in many cellular processes, whose activity is tightly regulated by upstream kinases, phosphatases and other regulators. Transforming growth factor-β activated kinase 1 (TAK1) is an upstream kinase in p38α signaling, and its full activation requires a specific activator, the TAK1-binding protein (TAB1). TAB1 was also shown to be an inducer of p38α's autophosphorylation and/or a substrate driving the feedback control of p38α signaling. Here we determined the complex structure of the unphosphorylated p38α and a docking peptide of TAB1, which shows that the TAB1 peptide binds to the classical MAPK docking groove and induces long-range conformational changes on p38α. Our structural and biochemical analyses suggest that TAB1 is a reasonable substrate of p38α, yet the interaction between the docking peptide and p38α may not be sufficient to trigger trans-autophosphorylation of p38α.展开更多
