The Olenekian Stage of the Lower Triassic is named from the Boreal Realm, but the stage has never been properly defined, nor has it been applied in the low-latitude Tethyan Realm, with exception of North Caucasus and Mangyshlak. This paper proposes a stratotype for the In-duan-Olenekian boundary in the low-latitude Tethyan Realm. South China is one of the main regions in the Tethyan Realm with well-developed Lower Triassic sequences and abundant fossils. According to the basic stratigraphic records and various accumulated data, we believe that the West Pingdingshan Section in Chaohu, Anhui Province is one of the best sequences to define the Induan-Olenekian boundary. The first appearance datum (FAD) of conodont Neospathodus waageni is the preferred index to define the boundary. This datum lies 26 cm below the FAD of the ammonoids Flemingites and Euflemingites, and is located slightly prior to the top of the second Triassic normal magnetozone, and the peak of the first Triassic positive excursion of carbon isotope σ13C. 展开更多

The West Pingdingshan Section in Chaohu, Southeast China’s Anhui Province is one of the potential GSSP candidates for the Induan-Olenekian boundary. Extensive study has been done on the Induan-Olenekian boundary strata at the section to meet the requirements of defining the GSSP precisely. This paper focuses on the boundary strata at the section to present a review of the main results achieved in recent years. The Induan-Olenekian boundary strata here cover an interval of about four meters at the West Pingdingshan Section, in which the key indices of defining the boundary and the chief transitional processes of some parameters at the boundary are included. The relationship between the boundaries defined by ammonoids and by conodonts is well clarified at the section. The magnetic polarity analysis shows that the boundary interval belongs to a normal polarity zone. Both the carbonate and organic carbon isotopes com- positions experienced a significant conversion in the boundary interval. 展开更多

目的客观评价巢湖的氮、磷污染水平,正确反映该湖的富营养化程度,为该湖的水体污染控制及水质改善工程及同类湖泊的水质评价提供参考.方法应用模糊数学方法分别对巢湖12个监测点的总氮质量浓度(TN)、总磷质量浓度(TP)进行评价,同时提出... 目的客观评价巢湖的氮、磷污染水平,正确反映该湖的富营养化程度,为该湖的水体污染控制及水质改善工程及同类湖泊的水质评价提供参考.方法应用模糊数学方法分别对巢湖12个监测点的总氮质量浓度(TN)、总磷质量浓度(TP)进行评价,同时提出富营养化驱动指数概念来综合反映各监测点附近水体的富营养化程度.结果按最大隶属度原则,大多数监测点的TP属于Ⅲ类污染级别;除新河入湖区外,其他监测点的TN均属于V类污染级别;12个监测点的富营养化驱动指数均大于零.结论巢湖的氮、磷污染均已经达到较高程度,氮污染问题尤其突出,今后迫切需要加强氮污染源的控制.各个监测点附近水体均处于不同程度的富营养化状态;并给出了需要进行重点污染控制的6个监测点. 展开更多
