Subsequently, the crystallized material was used as seeds to accelerate the crystallization process. Characterization of the ZSM-22 samples was performed by XRD, ATG/DTG and FT-IR. It was found that it is possible to synthesize ZSM-22 employing colloidal silica and pyrolytic silica as silicon sources only if the system is stirred during crystallization. The crystallization time for these systems was 13 hours, longer times of crystallization do not significantly increase the crystallinity of the sample. The addition of seeds significantly accelerates the crystallization of ZSM-22, reducing the crystallization time to only 7 hours, with stirring and with systems employing colloidal silica.展开更多

Reliability of the experimental tie-line data was checked by empirical Hand, Othmer-Tobias and Bachman equations. Distribution coefficient(D) and selectivity(S) were calculated in order to investigate capability of the studied organic solvents for 1,6-diaminohexane extraction. The high values of separation factors demonstrated that 2-methyl-1-propanol and 3-methyl-1-butanol were applicable for this purpose. The experimental data were correlated by nonrandom two-liquid(NRTL) and universal quasi-chemical(UNIQUAC) models.The percent-root-mean-square deviation(RMSD) values for NRTL and UNIQUAC models were less than 0.15,which indicated that the experimental data have been sufficiently correlated.展开更多

Hexamethylene bisacetamide (HMBA) and metabolite NADAH are inducers of leukemia cells differentiation. The results show that some calf thymus DNA has stronger hydrophobic interaction since some DNA were eluted out while the ion intensity was decreased very low until below that of the normal physiological conditions, but no notable ion-exchange. These suggested that HMBA and NADAH should exist the hydrophobic interaction with some DNA in the process of their inducing tumor cells differentiation.展开更多
