Owing to the identical physical environment ofeach carbon atom on C<sub>60</sub>, for chemical modification of C<sub>60</sub> it is not easy to controlthe attaching sites on C<sub>60</sub> cage and the number of the modified funtional groups.Though there are already many papers concerning the chemical modification of C<sub>60</sub>,recently only a few of them reported the preparation of pure single C<sub>60</sub> derivatives.Most of the products reported are mixtures.
