They obtai...Under the conditions that the wavelength of a particle is much larger than its radius of central mass, and the Schwarzschild field is weak, the scattering of a particle has been studied by many researchers. They obtained that scalar and vector particles abide by Rutherford's angle distribution by using the low level perturbation method and the scattered field's approximation in a weak field. The scattering cross section of a photon coincides with the section in Newton's field of point mass. We can obtain the photon's polarization effect by calculating the second-order perturbation in the linear Schwarzschild field. This article discusses the scattering and absorption of a particle by a black hole involving a global monopole by using the aforesaid method.展开更多
CCD photometric observations of the short-period eclipsing binary DZ Lyn were obtained during seven nights in March-April 2008 in the B, V, Rc and Ic bands; these observations confirm the short-period (P = 0.378 d) ...CCD photometric observations of the short-period eclipsing binary DZ Lyn were obtained during seven nights in March-April 2008 in the B, V, Rc and Ic bands; these observations confirm the short-period (P = 0.378 d) of the system. The presented light curves are analyzed by means of the 2003 version of the Wilson-Devinney (WD) program. A grid of solutions for several fixed values of mass ratio was calculated. The best fitting possible is for a mass ratio of q -- 0.885, a degree of contact f = 0.18 and a low orbital inclination of i = 57.6°. The results show that DZ Lyn is an A-subtype W Ursae Majoris contact binary in poor thermal contact; in fact the difference between the mean temperatures of the components is about 1800 K. The star DZ Lyn seems to be another member of the class of poorly understood close binaries in or near geometrical contact but far from thermal contact. The absolute dimensions are estimated and its dynamical evolution is inferred.展开更多
Combining the 12CO(1-0),13CO(1-0),and C18O(1-0) data with IRAS four band data,we here estimate the physical parameters such as size,viral mass,and CO J=1-0 isotopic and infrared luminosities for 29 dense molecular clo...Combining the 12CO(1-0),13CO(1-0),and C18O(1-0) data with IRAS four band data,we here estimate the physical parameters such as size,viral mass,and CO J=1-0 isotopic and infrared luminosities for 29 dense molecular clouds from two published CO samples. We further analyze the various correlations between CO J=1-0 isotopic luminosities and infrared luminosity(star formation rate,SFR) and discuss the relationships between the molecular gas tracers and SFR. The results show that 12CO(1-0),13CO(1-0) and C18O(1-0) luminosities have tight correlations with each other. CO J=1-0 isotopic luminosities and SFR show weak correlations with larger scatter than the HCN-IR correlations of 47 dense cores in the Galaxy and 65 external star-forming galaxies. This might be interpreted as that both the SFR and star formation efficiency are mainly determined by the molecular gas at high volume density rather than high column density.展开更多
