The parallel peak filter is introduced to provide high-g...Sensitivity loop shaping using add-on peak filters is a simple and effective method to reject narrow-band disturbances in hard disk drive (HDD) servo systems. The parallel peak filter is introduced to provide high-gain magnitude in the concerned frequency range of open-loop transfer function. Different from almost all the known peak filters that possess second-order structures, we explore in this paper bow high-order peak filters can be designed to improve the loop shaping performance. The main idea is to replace some of the constant coefficients of common second-order peak filter by frequency-related transfer functions, and then differential evolution (DE) algorithm is adopted to perform optimal design. We creatively introduce chromosome coding and fitness function design, which are original and the key steps that lead to the success of DE applications in control system design. In other words, DE is modified to achieve a novel design for hard disk drive control. Owing to the remarkable searching ability of DE, the expected shape of sensitivity function can be achieved by incorporating the resultant high-order peak filter in parallel with baseline feedback controller. As a result, a seventh-order peak filter is designed to compensate for contact-induced vibration in a high-density HDD servo system, where the benefits of high-order filter are clearly demonstrated.展开更多

L-1 HCI. A mini-column system for preconcentration is developed, Cr(VI)on the mini-column is eluted and merged with a stream water and DPCB (1, 5-diphenylcarbazide ) as the chromogenic reagent. The Proposed system permits throughputs of 6 sample h--l (0. 001 μg mL-1 Cr(VI) ) or 20 sample h-1 (0. 1 μg mL-1Cr (VI) . The preconcentration factor is 55. The optimal conditions for laccase in organic media areT=55°C, pH=6.5, 1.0×10?2mol/L OPDA, 1.25 mL ethanol, 1.25 mL 1,4-dioxane and 1.25 mL acetone. The linear range of the method proposed in ethanol, 1,4-dioxane and acetone media were 0.44–19.33, 0.11–20.85, 0.38–21.05 U with the detection limit of 0.088, 0.022, 0.076 U, respectively. The proposed method has been applied to the analysis of laccase activity of real samples with more accurate and sensitive than that of the previous method reported.展开更多
The NASA Kepler mission obtained long-term high-quality photometric observations for a large number of stars in its original field of view from 2009 to 2013.To provide reliable stellar parameters in a homogeneous way,...The NASA Kepler mission obtained long-term high-quality photometric observations for a large number of stars in its original field of view from 2009 to 2013.To provide reliable stellar parameters in a homogeneous way,the LAMOST telescope began to carry out low-resolution spectroscopic observations for as many stars as possible in the Kepler field in 2012.By June 2018,238386 low-resolution spectra with SNRg≥6 had been collected for 155623 stars in the Kepler field,enabling the determination of atmospheric parameters and radial velocities,as well as spectral classification of the target stars.This information has been used by astronomers to carry out research in various fields,including stellar pulsations and asteroseismology,exoplanets,stellar magnetic activity and flares,peculiar stars and the Milky Way,binary stars,etc.We summarize the research progress in these fields where the usage of data from the LAMOST-Kepler(LK)project has played a role.In addition,time-domain medium-resolution spectroscopic observations have been carried out for about 12000 stars in four central plates of the Kepler field since 2018.The currently available results show that the LAMOST-Kepler medium resolution(LKMRS)observations provide qualified data suitable for research in additional science projects including binaries,high-amplitude pulsating stars,etc.As LAMOST is continuing to collect both low-and mediumresolution spectra of stars in the Kepler field,we expect more data to be released continuously and new scientific results to appear based on the LK project data.展开更多

A 75-year-old male patient with the complaints of weight loss and difficulty in swallowing was admitted to our hospital from a nursing home. Upper system fiber-optic gastrointestinal endoscopy was performed and a mass at the junction of the hypopharynx and esophagus just below recessus piriformis obstructing almost the whole of the lumen and blocking the distal passage was detected. Computed tomography revealed marked narrowing secondary to osseous hypertrophy in the air column of the hypopharynx and proximal esophagus. Diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis or Forestier’s disease is an idiopathic disease characterized by the ossification of the anterior longitudinal ligament of vertebra and some of the extraspinal ligaments. In the present case we aim to discuss an elderly patient who suffered from dysphagia and weight loss and the diagnostic stages.展开更多

Recently, there have beenapproximately 198 large and small operating reservoirs which lead to increase natural hazards in the river basin. An Khe reservoir,one of big reservoirs in the upstream of the Ba river, impacts significantly on flooding in the downstream. This paper useshydrological model to simulate the flows as a basic for the safety operation of An Khe reservoir in order to prevent the downstreamfloods. Changes of the blood vessels and collagen are associated with the development of abnormal cervical cells.Recently,optical coberence tomography and Mueller polarization images were 1used to provide information regardin...Changes of the blood vessels and collagen are associated with the development of abnormal cervical cells.Recently,optical coberence tomography and Mueller polarization images were 1used to provide information regarding the presence of collagen fibers in the cervical tissue.However,most of these methods need a lot of time for image recording and are expensive.In addition,the general survey on the absorption and distribution characteristics of collagen and blood in the cervical is still lacking.In this study,we developed a colposcopy combining cross-polarized inage and image procssing algorithm with an fficient analytical model to map the distribution of blood and collagen in the uterine.For this system's proof of concept,we captured and processed the case of cervical ectopy and Nabothian cyst.The results show that the distribution of blood and collagen maps matched with anatomical and physiological when compared with Lugol's iodline images.This technology has some advantages,such as low cost,real time,and can replace the 11se of acetic acid or Lugol's iodine in the future.展开更多
Collagen provides tissue strength and structural integrity.Quanti fication of the orientated dispersion of collagen fibers is an important factor when studying the mechanical properties of the cervix.In this study,for...Collagen provides tissue strength and structural integrity.Quanti fication of the orientated dispersion of collagen fibers is an important factor when studying the mechanical properties of the cervix.In this study,for the first time,a new method for rapid characterization of the collagen fiber orientations of the cervix using linearly polarized light colposcopy is presented.A total of 24 colposcopic images were captured using a cross-polarized imaging system with white LED light sources.In the preprocessing stage,the Red channel of the RGB image was chosen,which contains no information of the blood vessels because of the low-absorption of blood cells in the red region.OrientationJ,which is an ImageJ plug-in,was used to estimate the local orientation of the collagen fibers.The result shows that in the nonpregnant cervix,the middle zone(Zone 2)has circumferentially aligned collagen fibers while the inner zone(Zone 1)has randomly arranged.The collagen fiber dispersion in Zone 2 is much smaller than that in Zone 1 at all four quadrants region(anterior,posterior,left,and right quadrant).This new analysis technique could potentially combine with diagnostic tools to provide a quantitative platform of collagen fibers in the clinic.展开更多
