Questionnaires about sleep a...In order to characterize sleep and the cognitive patterns in patients with acute minor thalamic infarction (AMTI), we enrolled 27 patients with AMTI and 12 mat- ched healthy individuals. Questionnaires about sleep and cognition as well as polysomnography (PSG) were performed on days 14 and 90 post-stroke. Compared to heal- thy controls, in patients with AMTI, hyposomnia was more prevalent; sleep architecture was disrupted as indicated by decreased sleep efficiency, increased sleep latency, and decreased non-rapid eye movement sleep stages 2 and 3; more sleep-related breathing disorders occurred; and cog- nitive functions were worse, especially memory. While sleep apnea and long-delay memory recovered to a large extent in the patients, other sleep and cognitive function deficit often persisted. Patients with AMTI are at an increased risk for hyposomnia, sleep structure disturbance, sleep apnea, and memory deficits. Although these abnormalities improved over time, the slow and incomplete improvement suggest that early management should be considered in these patients.展开更多

In the Hexi Corridor, north periphery of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the angular unconformity between the Jiuquan Gravel and the Yumen Conglomerate has been well known to represent an intensive tectonic event of the plateau. However, its age is poorly constrained. Our paleomagnetic dating at the Laojunmiao section in the Jiuxi Basin show that the bottom of the Jiuquan Gravel reaches 0.84 MaBP, the top of the Yumen Conglomerate is about 0.93 MaBP. This result clearly demonstrates that the northern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau experienced an intensive movement at mid-Pleistocene.展开更多
To determine whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)of the visual cortex(VC)provides effective and welltolerated treatment and whether magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)measures functional change of th...To determine whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)of the visual cortex(VC)provides effective and welltolerated treatment and whether magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)measures functional change of the VC as a biomarker of therapeutic effect in major depressive disorder(MDD),we performed a sham-controlled,double-blind,randomized,three-arm VC rTMS treatment study in 74 MDD patients.Neuronavigated rTMS(10 Hz,90%of resting motor threshold,1,600 pulses over20 min twice per day)was performed over the VC for five days.Clinical outcome was measured by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD-24)at days 0,1,3,5 and after terminating rTMS,with follow-up at four weeks.MRI was measured at days 0 and5.The individualized group exhibited the greatest change in HAMD-24 scores after VC rTMS for 5 days(F=5.53,P=0.005),which were maintained during follow-up period(F=4.22,P=0.016).All patients reported good tolerance.Changes in VC taskrelated functional MRI correlated with symptomatic reduction in the individualized group.Treatment reduced the initially abnormal increase in resting state functional connectivity from the VC to the pre/subgenual anterior cingulate cortex at day 5,especially in the individualized group.We demonstrated therapeutic potential and good tolerance of VC rTMS in MDD patients,indicated by biomarkers of f MRI measurement.展开更多

However, little attention is paid to their mutual advantages of env...Electronic fibers used to fabricate wearable triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG) for harvesting human mechanical energy have been extensively explored. However, little attention is paid to their mutual advantages of environmental friendliness, mechanical properties, and stability. Here, we report a super-strong, biodegradable, and washable cellulose-based conductive macrofibers, which is prepared by wet-stretching and wet-twisting bacterial cellulose hydrogel incorporated with carbon nanotubes and polypyrrole. The cellulose-based conductive macrofibers possess high tensile strength of 449 MPa(able to lift 2 kg weights), good electrical conductivity(~ 5.32 S cm^(-1)), and excellent stability(Tensile strength and conductivity only decrease by 6.7% and 8.1% after immersing in water for 1 day). The degradation experiment demonstrates macrofibers can be degraded within 108 h in the cellulase solution. The designed fabric-based TENG from the cellulose-base conductive macrofibers shows a maximum open-circuit voltage of 170 V, short-circuit current of 0.8 μA, and output power at 352 μW, which is capable of powering the commercial electronics by charging the capacitors. More importantly, the fabric-based TENGs can be attached to the human body and work as self-powered sensors to effectively monitor human motions. This study suggests the potential of biodegradable, super-strong, and washable conductive cellulose-based fiber for designing eco-friendly fabric-based TENG for energy harvesting and biomechanical monitoring.展开更多

The phylogeny of Orthoptera based on differ...The complete 15,831 bp nucleotide sequence of the mitochondrial genome from Elimaea cheni (Phaneropterinae) was determined. The putative initiation codon for cox1 was TTA. The phylogeny of Orthoptera based on different mtDNA datasets were analyzed with maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian inference (BI). When all 37 genes (mtDNA) were analyzed simultaneously, the monophyly of Caelifera and Ensifera were recovered in the context of our taxon sampling. The phylogeny of Orthoptera was largely consistent with previous phylogenetic hypotheses. Rhaphidophoridae to be a sister group of Tettigoniidae, and the relationships among four subfamilies of Tettigoniidae were (Phaneropterinae + (Conocephalinae + (Bradyporinae + Tettigoniinae))). Pyrgomorphidae was the most basal group of Caelifera. The relationships among six acridid subfamilies were (Oedipodinae + (Acridinae + (Gomphocerinae + (Oxyinae + (Callip- taminae + Cyrtacanthacridinae))))). However, we did not recover a monophyletic Grylloidea. Myrmecophilidae clustered into one clade with Gryllotalpidae instead of with Gryllidae. ML and BI analyses of all protein coding genes (using all nucleotide sequence data or excluding the third codon position, and amino acid sequences) revealed a topology identical to that of the entire mtDNA genome dataset. However, 22 tRNAs genes excluding the DHU loop and TψC loop (TRNA), and two rRNA genes (RRNA) perform poorly when analyzed as single dataset. Our results suggest that the best phylogenetic inferences were ML and BI methods based on total mtDNA. Excluding tRNA genes, rRNA genes and the third codon position of protein coding genes from dataset and converting nucleotide sequences to amino acid sequences do not positively affect phylogenetic reconstruction.展开更多
