Rational carbonate electrolyte chemistry is critical for the development of high-voltage lithium metal batteries(LMBs).However,the implementation of traditional carbonate electrolyte is greatly hindered by the generat...Rational carbonate electrolyte chemistry is critical for the development of high-voltage lithium metal batteries(LMBs).However,the implementation of traditional carbonate electrolyte is greatly hindered by the generation of an unstable electrode interphase and corrosive by-product(HF).Herein,we propose a triple-function eutectic solvent additive of N-methylacetamide(NmAc)with LiNO_(3) to enhance the stability and compatibility of carbonate electrolyte.Firstly,the addition of NmAc significantly improves the solubility of LiNO_(3) in carbonate electrolyte by forming an eutectic pair,which regulates the Li~+solvation structure and leads to dense and homogenous Li plating.Secondly,the hydrolysis of acidic PF_5 is effectively alleviated due to the strong complexation of NmAc with PF_5,thus reducing the generation of corrosive HF.In addition,the optimized cathode electrolyte interphase layer decreases the structural degradation and transition metal dissolution.Consequently,Li||LiNi_(0.6)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)O_(2)(NCM622)cells with the designed electrolyte deliver superior long-term cycle reversibility and excellent rate capability.This study unveils the rationale for incorporating eutectic solvent additives within carbonate electrolytes,which significantly contribute to the advancement of their practical application for high-voltage LMBs.展开更多
Objective To investigate the pharmacokinetic effects of baicalin on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) after iv administration in rats. Methods The cerebral I/R rats were induced by occluding the bilateral carotid ar...Objective To investigate the pharmacokinetic effects of baicalin on cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) after iv administration in rats. Methods The cerebral I/R rats were induced by occluding the bilateral carotid arteries of normal rats for 2 h, followed by reperfusion. The resultant animals were immediately iv administrated with baicalin (90 mg/kg), whilst the same dose of baicalin was injected to the normal rats. Plasma samples were collected at different time to construct pharmacokinetic profiles by plotting drug concentration vs time. Quantification of baicalin in rat plasma was achieved using a simple and rapid HPLC method. Results In normal rats, the major parameters of distribution half-life, elimination half-life, area under the plasma concentration-time (AUC), apparent volume of distribution (Vd), and clearance (CL), estimated by an open two-compartmental model, were 0.8868 min, 26.0968 min, 149.6204 mg/min·L, 4.765 L/kg, and 0.5776 L/ kg·min), respectively. However, in I/R rats, the corresponding parameters were 2.084 min, 34.4998 min, 260.0188 μg·min/L, 5.9376 L/kg, and 0.334 L/(kg·min), respectively. Conclusion The cerebral I/R could significantly increase AUC and Vd values, decrease CL values, and prolong the terminal half-life of baicalin. These findings suggest that the injuries of I/R could play an important role in pharmacokinetic process of baicalin.展开更多

InDel (insertion-deletion length polymorphism) and SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) are the new generation of molecular markers and can basically meet the need of fine mapping. InDel and SNP markers can be developed through bioinformatics. These markers are valuable markers with the characters of low cost, high specificity and stability. This article introduced the methods for designing InDel and SNP markers, taking the mapping of a rice rolled leaf gene as an example. In addition, some key factors in improving the design efficiency were also discussed.展开更多
Objective To investigate the effect of n-butanol extract from Potentilla anserina(NP)intervention on hypoxia-induced Ca 2+ overload and SERCA2 expression of rat cardiomyocytes.Methods Primary cultured myocardial cell ...Objective To investigate the effect of n-butanol extract from Potentilla anserina(NP)intervention on hypoxia-induced Ca 2+ overload and SERCA2 expression of rat cardiomyocytes.Methods Primary cultured myocardial cell from SD neonatal rat(1-3 d)was used in the establishment of hypoxia model.After hypoxia for 3 h,the Ca 2+ concentration of myocardial cells was measured with fura-2/AM fluorescent probe,and the biochemical indicator intracellular Ca 2+ -ATPase was examined and the mRNA and its protective protein levels of the sarcoplasmic reticulum(SR)Ca 2+ -ATPases(SERCA2)were assayed with RT-PCR,Western-blotting,and immune-cytochemical staining in each group.Results The results showed that NP decreased Ca 2+ concentration, increased the activity of Ca 2+ -ATPase,and improved the mRNA and protein expression of SERCA2 in hypoxia-injured myocardial cells as compared with the model group.Conclusion These results indicate that NP could attenuate the Ca 2+ overload.The mechanism might be explained as that NP could elevate the SERCA2 level, increase the activity of myocardium in rats,and further enhance the capacity of SR Ca 2+ re-uptake.展开更多

Methods RP-HPLC was developed for fingerprint analysis and determination of four ingredients in G. macrophylla roots from different sources. LC-ESI-TOF-MS was employed to identify the chromatographic peaks of the fingerprint. Results Five common peaks were identified by comparing their retention time with reference secoiridoid glucosides. Eight major peaks in chromatographic fingerprint were analyzed by on-line LC-ESI-TOF-MS. Four secoiridoid glucosides were identified based on their MS data. Conclusion The method is specific and could be served for the quality identification and comprehensive evaluation of G. macrophylla.展开更多
To investigate genetic diversities among the AA genome Oryza species in the Southeast and South Asia, a total of 428 accessions of the AA genome Oryza species were genotyped using 36 simple sequence repeats (SSR) mark...To investigate genetic diversities among the AA genome Oryza species in the Southeast and South Asia, a total of 428 accessions of the AA genome Oryza species were genotyped using 36 simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers distributed throughout the rice genome. All of the 36 SSR markers generated polymorphic bands, revealing 100% polymorphism. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 3 to 17 with the mean of 8.6. The Nei's genetic diversity index (He) ranged from 0.337 at RM455 to 0.865 at RM169 with an average value of 0.650. The genetic diversity of the AA genome Oryza species in the Southeast Asia was obviously higher than that in the South Asia. Among the detected Oryza species in the South and Southeast Asia, O. rufipogon showed the highest genetic diversity. Meanwhile, a higher genetic differentiation (Fst) was found among the detected Oryza species in the Southeast Asia than in the South Asia. The Fst value between O. nivara and O. sativa was the highest. The results from the number of specific alleles, specific loci, and allele frequency confirmed the greater genetic variation among the detected species. In addition, the specific allele in RM161 displayed higher frequency (0.193), suggesting its important function in identifying Oryza species of AA genome.展开更多

Methods The gastroprotective effect of ascaridole was evaluated on ulcer healing in rats with acetic acid-induced chronic gastric ulcer, pylorus ligation- and Aspirin-induced gastric ulcer. Ascaridole was ig administered with the dosages of 10 and 20 mg/kg once daily for 7 d. Results Ascaridole showed the significant anti-ulcer effects. In acetic acid-induced gastric ulcer rats, the ulcer areas after 10 and 20 mg/kg of ascaridole treatment were (65.1 ± 20.0) and (50.6 ± 11.0) mm2, respectively, which were significant lower (P < 0.01) than that of the control group [(116.7 ± 35.8) mm2]. For pylorus ligation model, ascaridole showed a gastric ulcer healing effect in a dose-dependent manner. Ascaridole at the dose of 20 mg/kg showed 50% ulcer protection and had a significant (P < 0.05) gastroprotective activity since it decreased the total acidity and pepsin activity. Compared to the control group, the two dosages of ascaridole showed the significant reduction (P < 0.05) in the ulcer index on Aspirin-induced ulcer. Conclusion This study provides evidence that ascaridole shows potential efficacy on the healing of gastric ulcers induced by acetic acid, Aspirin, and pylorus ligation.展开更多

Its mechanism includes reducing cerebral infarct volumes and improving neurobehavioral deficits, anti-oxidant and anti-apoptosis, antithrombotic activity, calcium channel blockers function, and effect on erythropoietin. Other pharmacological effects of ligustilide including inhibiting vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, effects on LPS-induced endotoxic shock, inhibiting constriction effect, suppression of the central nervous system, and ameliorating the memory impairment induced by scopolamine and so on, are also introduced. Ligustilide has potential pharmacological value, which provides a reference for its further research and development.展开更多

Techniques to visually simulate the archit...The existing research results of virtual modeling of rice plant, however, is far from perfect compared to that of other crops due to its complex structure and growth process. Techniques to visually simulate the architecture of rice plant and its growth process are presented based on the analysis of the morphological characteristics at different stages. Firstly, the simulations of geometrical shape, the bending status and the structural distortion of rice leaves are conducted. Then, by using an improved model for bending deformation, the curved patterns of panicle axis and various types of panicle branches are generated, and the spatial shape of rice panicle is therefore created. Parametric L-system is employed to generate its topological structures, and finite-state automaton is adopted to describe the development of geometrical structures. Finally, the computer visualization of three-dimensional morphologies of rice plant at both organ and individual levels is achieved. The experimental results showed that the proposed methods of modeling the three-dimensional shapes of organs and simulating the growth of rice plant are feasible and effective, and the generated three-dimensional images are realistic.展开更多
The model of electrically driven jet is governed by a series of quasi 1D dimensionless partial differential equations(PDEs).Following the method of lines,the Chebyshev collocation method is employed to discretize the ...The model of electrically driven jet is governed by a series of quasi 1D dimensionless partial differential equations(PDEs).Following the method of lines,the Chebyshev collocation method is employed to discretize the PDEs and obtain a system of differential-algebraic equations(DAEs).By differentiating constrains in DAEs twice,the system is transformed into a set of ordinary differential equations(ODEs) with invariants.Then the implicit differential equations solver 'ddaskr' is used to solve the ODEs and post-stabilization is executed at the end of each step.Results show the distributions of radius,linear charge density,stretching ratio and also the horizontal velocity at a time point.Meanwhile,the spiral and expanding projections to X-Y plane of the jet centerline suggest the occurring of bending instability.展开更多
