Based on the analyses of the vertical modes of the internal wave, the characteristics of the wave-induced current during the propagation of the internal soliton are studied. A regularized long wave (RLW) equation numerical model considering effects of multi-fac-tors is employed, and the observed environmental parame-ters are used as the initial conditions to simulate the propa-gation and evolution of the internal soliton in the continental shelf of the northern SCS.展开更多

This study was undertaken to investigate the effects of HBV gene variation...Viral variation may change pathogenicity, escape immunity, lead to persistence infection, and cause drug resistance against antiviral therapy. This study was undertaken to investigate the effects of HBV gene variation on the progression of disease and on the efficacy of antiviral therapy for patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB). METHODS:Hepatitis B virus (HBV) gene mutational sites were detected using gene chip in selected hepatitis B patients. RESULTS:In the patients HBeAg did not show serologic conversion or HBeAg(-)/anti-HBe(+), but their HBV DNA remained positive 24 weeks after α-interferon therapy, which was associated with mutations of nt1896, nt1814, nt1762 and nt1764. In the patients, that HBV DNA levels decreased or were undetectable, but rebounded later after antiviral therapy by lamivudine was associated with mutations of aa528 and(or) aa552(i.e.YMDD mutation), which resulted in lamivudine-resistance. YMDD mutation was prone to occur 52 weeks after lamivudine therapy in some chronic hepatitis B patients (26.4%). Nt1896 mutation was common in most chronic hepatitis B patients (68.5%). Chronic severe hepatitis, cirrhosis, and primary liver carcinoma were related to the mutations of nt1896, nt1762 and nt1764. CONCLUSIONS:HBV gene mutations could aggravate patient's condition and affect the efficacy of antiviral therapy. The regular detection of HBV gene mutation is helpful for identification of disease prognosis and adjustment of therapeutic strategy.展开更多

This report det...Background Endovascular stent-grafting is widely used to treat thoracic aortic dissection. However, little information is available regarding outcome following simultaneous exclusion of multiple tears. This report details eight years of experience using simultaneous multi-tear exclusion for treatment of Stanford type B thoracic aortic dissection resulting in successful aortic remodeling without adverse events. Methods From September 1998 to January 2006, 29 type B thoracic aortic dissection patients (24 men, 5 women; 27 chronic, 2 acute; mean age 58 years, range 45-77 years) were treated by simultaneous multi-tear exclusion in our center. Magnetic resonance angiography was used as the preoperative evaluation method. Different kinds of stent-grafts were used. The patients were followed up with contrast-enhanced spiral computed tomography at 6 months postoperatively and yearly thereafter. Results Twenty-nine surgeries were completed successfully using at least 2 stent-grafts per patient (range: 2-6, mean: 2.7). No major procedure-related complications, such as rupture, paraplegia, aortic branch ischemia or cerebral infarction were observed. During follow-up, favorable remodeling of the aorta was observed. Conclusions The mid-term result of thoracic aortic dissection with simultaneous multi-tear exclusion was satisfactory. With the improvement of stent-grafts, simultaneous multi-tear exclusion should find wider application and become an optimal strategy for thoracic aortic dissection.展开更多

The constitutive relationship model using Zener-Hollomon parameter as primary variable is proposed, and the constitutive equation for MP159 alloy is firstly formulized. This equation well represents the relationship of flow stress with thermomechanical,parameters, i.e. strain, strain rate and temperature, in a large deformation (a true strain of 1.10) and a wide range of deformation temperatures and strain rates, it can be used for the finite element simulation of plastic forming process and the dissipative structure theory and dynamic material modeling.展开更多

Four isomers with C-2v, C-s, C-infinity v and D-infinity h symmetry were presented for LaC2+ and LaC22+. Meanwhile, two spin states, namely, singlet and triplet for LaC2+, doublet and quartet for LaC22+ were considered The results indicated that ring isomers with C-2v and C-s symmetry are the most stable for La-C2(+) at both spin states and for LaC22+ at quartet state. Whereas for LaC22+ at doublet state, linear isomer with C-infinity v symmetry is energetically favored, For LaC3 and LaC3- clusters,, three isomers have been presented for each cluster, that is, two ring isomers with C-2v symmetry ( in one of them, La forms two single bonds with two carbons, and in another, La forms a double bond with carbon), and one linear isomer with C-infinity v symmetry. The results revealed that the ring isomer in which La forms two single bonds with carbons is the lowest in energy.展开更多

It had been found that, in all the system...The structure of Mo-15.16 Si, Mo-30 Si and Mo-36.3 Si (wt pct) elemental powder mixture during mechanical alloying was studied using electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. It had been found that, in all the systems under study, silicon disappeared initially during mechanical alloying (MA). In the Mo-Si systems all products were in form of amorphous state after long time milling, but there were different intermediate products. MoSi2 and Mo5Si3 intermetallic compounds in the Mo-30Si and Mo-36.3Si (wt pct) were directly synthesized from elements through inter-diffussion process. The high density of defects and interface of nano-crystal lines induced by ball milling would promote the reaction process. Only in the Mo-15.16Si (wt pct) system was Mo(Si) supersaturated solid solution formed as an intermediate product. Schematic free-energy diagram of Mo-Si system based on the thermodynamics was used to analyze the difference among the intermediate state products.展开更多
