OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction on stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) by observing its influences on patients' quality of life and airway inflammation.METHODS: S...OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction on stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) by observing its influences on patients' quality of life and airway inflammation.METHODS: Seventy patients with stable COPD were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=35) treated with Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction plus Seretide and a control group(n=35) treated with Seretide only.The dosage of Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction was 100 mL each time, twice a day, and the dosage of Seretide was salmeterol 50 μg/fluticasone 250 μg twice a day. Both groups were treated for 12 weeks. Before and after the treatment, St George's respiratory disease questionnaire(SGRQ)scores,forced expiratory volume,and forced expiratory volume in 1 second/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)were measured.RESULTS:The SGRQ scores in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05). After treatment, the total SGRQ scores and each subscore in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The percentage of the predicted FEV1% and FEV1/FVC were higher in both groups, but no statistical differences were detected from before to after the treatment or between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION: Yiqibushenhuoxue decoction could significantly decrease the SGRQ scores in patients with stable COPD, which suggests that it is able to improve patient symptoms.展开更多

We aimed to assess the value of the computed tomography (CT) and clinical finding...Background The correct diagnosis of sputum smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis in AIDS patients is very important to their therapy. We aimed to assess the value of the computed tomography (CT) and clinical findings in predicting smear- negative pulmonary tuberculosis in AIDS patients. Methods A total of 121 AIDS patients suspected of smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis by clinical and radiographic findings were recruited. Pulmonary tuberculosis was diagnosed in 57 (47.1%) patients. The CT and clinical predictors were selected to diagnose AIDS-related pulmonary tuberculosis through univariate and multivariate Logistic analysis. Results Multivariate analysis showed that five variables, including weight loss, presence of miliary nodules, necrotic lymph node, Iobular consolidation, tree-in-bud sign, were independent predictors of pulmonary tuberculosis in AIDS patients. Predicted scores based on the five variables were used to identify pulmonary tuberculosis. If the predicted score of 3 was taken as the ideal cut-off point in the diagnosis of AIDS-related smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value, and accuracy were 84.2%, 81.2%, 80.0%, 85.2%, and 82.6%, respectively. Conclusion The prediction method based on five key factors of clinical and CT findings are useful in guiding the diagnosis of smear-negative pulmonary tuberculosis in AIDS patients.展开更多
The superconducting ground state of kagome metals AV_(3)Sb_(5)(where A stands for K,Rb,or Cs)emerges from an exotic charge density wave(CDW)state that potentially breaks both rotational and time reversal symmetries.Ho...The superconducting ground state of kagome metals AV_(3)Sb_(5)(where A stands for K,Rb,or Cs)emerges from an exotic charge density wave(CDW)state that potentially breaks both rotational and time reversal symmetries.However,the specifics of the Cooper pairing mechanism,and the nature of the interplay between these two states remain elusive,largely due to the lack of momentum-space(k-space)superconducting energy gap structure.By implementing Bogoliubov quasiparticle interference(B QPI)imaging,we obtain k-space information on the multiband superconducting gap structureΔ_(SC)^(i)(k)in pristine CsV_(3)Sb_(5).We show that the estimated energy gap on the vanadium d_(xy/x^(2)-y^(2))orbital is anisotropic but nodeless,with a minimal value located near the M point.Interestingly,a comparison ofΔ_(SC)^(i)(k)with the CDW gapΔ_(CDW)^(i)(k)obtained by angle-re solved photoemission spectro scopy(ARPES)reveals direct k-space competition between the se two order parameters,i.e.,the opening of a large(small)CDW gap at a given momentum corresponds to a small(large)superconducting gap.When the long-range CDW order is suppressed by replacing vanadium with titanium,we find a nearly isotropic energy gap on both the V and Sb bands.This information will be critical for identifying the microscopic pairing mechanism and its interplay with intertwined electro nic orders in this kagome superconductor family.展开更多
Pediatric cough is a heterogeneous condition in terms of symptoms and the underlying disease mechanisms.Symptom phenotypes hold complicated interactions between each other to form an intricate network structure.This s...Pediatric cough is a heterogeneous condition in terms of symptoms and the underlying disease mechanisms.Symptom phenotypes hold complicated interactions between each other to form an intricate network structure.This study aims to investigate whether the network structure of pediatric cough symptoms is associated with the prognosis and outcome of patients.A total of 384 cases were derived from the electronic medical records of a highly experienced traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) physician.The data were divided into two groups according to the therapeutic effect,namely,an invalid group (group A with 40 cases of poor efficacy) and a valid group (group B with 344 cases of good efficacy).Several well-established analysis methods,namely,statistical test,correlation analysis,and complex network analysis,were used to analyze the data.This study reports that symptom networks of patients with pediatric cough are related to the effectiveness of treatment: a dense network of symptoms is associated with great difficulty in treatment.Interventions with the most different symptoms in the symptom network may have improved therapeutic effects.展开更多
One of the primary roadblocks to widespread applications of rechargeable Zn-air batteries is the durability issue with oxygen reduction and evolution processes(ORR/OER)bifunctional electrocatalysts.We herein report th...One of the primary roadblocks to widespread applications of rechargeable Zn-air batteries is the durability issue with oxygen reduction and evolution processes(ORR/OER)bifunctional electrocatalysts.We herein report the construction of a selfsupported air cathode for Zn-air batteries made of S,N-codoped porous complex carbon nanostructures of Co/Co-Cu-S/carbon nanoplate arrays and carbon nanofibers(denoted as Co/Co-Cu-S@SNPCP-CFs).The hierarchical heteroatom-doped mesoporous carbon nanohybrids with multiple active species not only provide a high surface-to-volume ratio,exposing more catalytic sites and accelerating the charge and mass transfer,but also boost the activity and durability.The Co/Co-Cu-S@SNPCP-CFs catalyst reveals a small potential gap(ΔE=0.67 V)between the half-wave potential of ORR and OER potential at 10 m A ccm^(-2),demonstrating outstanding bifunctional performance.Furthermore,the rechargeable Zn-air battery made with the as-obtained electrocatalyst exhibits a high-power density of 220 m W cm^(-2)and a long cycling time of over 800 h at 10 m A ccm^(-2),and the flexible solid-state rechargeable Zn-air battery based on Co/Co-Cu-S@SNPCP-CFs self-supporting air cathode also displays a long duration time of over 60 h.展开更多

Besides nuclear wars and terrorism, reactor runaway and un-ruled radioactive source are the main nuclear accidents in peacetime. With the active development of the nuclear industry in China, the existing nuclear education system is becoming deficient or defective. Human factors play an important role in nuclear accident prevention and emergency response in the nuclear engineering system, non-nuclear professional staff are often the subject of personnel in most nuclear projects. In order to ensure the sustainable and efficient accord development of nuclear industry, general nuclear education is necessary for correlative non-nuclear professionals, such as technologies, management, safety, culture and ethic. In the present study, follistatin(FST) gene expression vectors with either a bicistronic gene transfer cassette alone, or a bicistron gene cassette carrying a matrix attachment region(MAR) were constructed and transfe...In the present study, follistatin(FST) gene expression vectors with either a bicistronic gene transfer cassette alone, or a bicistron gene cassette carrying a matrix attachment region(MAR) were constructed and transfected to bovine fetal fibroblasts. Evaluations of both the integration and expression of exogenous FST indicated that the p MAR-CAG-FST-IRES-Ac GFP1-poly A-MAR(pMAR-FST) vector had higher capacity to form monoclonal transgenic cells than the vector without MAR,though transient transfection and integration efficiency were similar with either construct. Remarkably, protein expression in transgenic cells with the p MAR-FST vector was significantly higher than that from the bicistronic vector. Exogenous FST was expressed in all of the p MARFST transgenic mice at F_0, F_1 and F_2. Total muscle growth in F_0 mice was significantly greater than in wild-type mice,with larger muscles in fore and hind limbs of transgenic mice. p MAR-FST transgenic mice were also found with more evenly distributed muscle bundles and thinner spaces between sarcolemma, which suggests a correlation between transgene expression-associated muscle development and the trend of muscle growth. In conclusion, a p MAR-FST vector, which excluded the resistant genes and frame structure, enhances and stabilizes FST gene expressions in both transfected cells and transgenic mice.展开更多

目的:构建乳腺肿块的综合乳腺影像报告和数据系统(Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System,BI-RADS)预测模型,得到不同于单一影像的BI-RADS分类。方法:回顾并分析2019年8月—2020年9月术前行超声、乳腺X线摄影及磁共振成像(magnetic ...目的:构建乳腺肿块的综合乳腺影像报告和数据系统(Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System,BI-RADS)预测模型,得到不同于单一影像的BI-RADS分类。方法:回顾并分析2019年8月—2020年9月术前行超声、乳腺X线摄影及磁共振成像(magnetic resonance imaging,MRI)检查的患者图像,根据BI-RADS词典对肿块特征进行评估,取3种影像的最高BI-RADS类别为因变量,影像学特征及临床指征为自变量,根据多元logistic回归构建综合BI-RADS预测模型。结果:综合BI-RADS预测模型分类的阳性预测值(positive predictive value,PPV)在指南的参考范围内[3类(0.00%),4A类(9.61%),4B类(42.41%),4C类(88.18%),5类(97.19%)],模型的受试者工作特征(receiver operating characteristic)曲线的曲线下面积(area under curve,AUC)为0.955。结论:将3种影像的BI-RADS词典联合肿块临床特征得到综合的BI-RADS模型是可行的,极大限度避免漏诊的发生。展开更多
The Tibetan antelope is endemic to the Tibetan Plateau,China,and is now considered an endangered species.As a possible rescue strategy,the development of embryos constructed by interspecies somatic cell nuclear transf...The Tibetan antelope is endemic to the Tibetan Plateau,China,and is now considered an endangered species.As a possible rescue strategy,the development of embryos constructed by interspecies somatic cell nuclear transfer(iSCNT)was examined.Tibetan antelope fibroblast cells were transferred into enucleated bovine,ovine and caprine oocytes.These cloned embryos were then cultured in vitro or in the oviducts of intermediate animals.Less than 0.5%of the reconstructed antelope-bovine embryos cultured in vitro developed to the blastocyst stage.However,when the cloned antelope-bovine embryos were transferred to caprine oviducts,about 1.6%of the embryos developed to the blastocyst stage.In contrast,only 0.7%of the antelope-ovine embryos developed to the morula stage and none developed to blastocysts in ovine oviducts.The treatment of donor cells and bovine oocytes with trichostatin A did not improve the embryo development even when cultured in the oviducts of ovine and caprine.When the antelope-bovine embryos,constructed from oocytes treated with roscovitine or trichostatin A,were cultured in rabbit oviducts 2.3%and 14.3%developed to blastocysts,respectively.It is concluded that although some success was achieved with the protocols used,interspecies cloning of Tibetan antelope presents difficulties still to be overcome.The mechanisms resulting in the low embryo development need investigation and progress might require a deeper understanding of cellular reprogramming.展开更多

Human factors play an important role in nuclear accident prevention and emergency response in the nuclear engineering system, non-nuclear professional staff are often the subject of personnel in most nuclear projects. In order to ensure the sustainable and efficient accord development of nuclear industry, general nuclear education is necessary for correlative non-nuclear professionals, such as technologies, management, safety, culture and ethic. The nuclear safety education should be included into the national education system.

文摘Myocytes power the movement of all organs in the body.Damage to and degradation of myocytes causes hypokinesia and muscle-related degenerative diseases.Apigenin,a kind of flavone,is being used to treat many disorders.It exerts a host of different pharmacological activities,such as anti-inflammatory,anti-mutagenic,cardioprotective,and antioxidant effects.Accordingly,apigenin is considered a promising candidate for myocyte protection.In this review,we introduced the characteristics of apigenin.The means of apigenin protection of myocytes as well as the mechanism were summarized and discussed.The protective effects can be classified into proliferation-promoting,anti-inflammatory,atrophy-preventing,metabolism-increasing,and antioxidative effects.Additionally,we provided some outlook on the valuable applications of apigenin in sports medicine,which eagerly require further fundamental research.

文摘In the present study, follistatin(FST) gene expression vectors with either a bicistronic gene transfer cassette alone, or a bicistron gene cassette carrying a matrix attachment region(MAR) were constructed and transfected to bovine fetal fibroblasts. Evaluations of both the integration and expression of exogenous FST indicated that the p MAR-CAG-FST-IRES-Ac GFP1-poly A-MAR(pMAR-FST) vector had higher capacity to form monoclonal transgenic cells than the vector without MAR,though transient transfection and integration efficiency were similar with either construct. Remarkably, protein expression in transgenic cells with the p MAR-FST vector was significantly higher than that from the bicistronic vector. Exogenous FST was expressed in all of the p MARFST transgenic mice at F_0, F_1 and F_2. Total muscle growth in F_0 mice was significantly greater than in wild-type mice,with larger muscles in fore and hind limbs of transgenic mice. p MAR-FST transgenic mice were also found with more evenly distributed muscle bundles and thinner spaces between sarcolemma, which suggests a correlation between transgene expression-associated muscle development and the trend of muscle growth. In conclusion, a p MAR-FST vector, which excluded the resistant genes and frame structure, enhances and stabilizes FST gene expressions in both transfected cells and transgenic mice.
文摘Adipocytes differentiate from mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)in a process known as adipogenesis.The programme of adipogenesis is regulated by the sequential activation of transcription factors and several signaling pathways.There is growing evidence indicating that a class of small non-coding single-stranded RNAs known as“microRNAs(miRNAs)”also are involved in this process.In this review,we summarize the biology and functional mechanisms of miRNAs in adipocyte differentiation.In addition,we further discuss the miRNAs profiling,the miRNAs function and miRNAs target prediction in the adipogenesis.
文摘目的:构建乳腺肿块的综合乳腺影像报告和数据系统(Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System,BI-RADS)预测模型,得到不同于单一影像的BI-RADS分类。方法:回顾并分析2019年8月—2020年9月术前行超声、乳腺X线摄影及磁共振成像(magnetic resonance imaging,MRI)检查的患者图像,根据BI-RADS词典对肿块特征进行评估,取3种影像的最高BI-RADS类别为因变量,影像学特征及临床指征为自变量,根据多元logistic回归构建综合BI-RADS预测模型。结果:综合BI-RADS预测模型分类的阳性预测值(positive predictive value,PPV)在指南的参考范围内[3类(0.00%),4A类(9.61%),4B类(42.41%),4C类(88.18%),5类(97.19%)],模型的受试者工作特征(receiver operating characteristic)曲线的曲线下面积(area under curve,AUC)为0.955。结论:将3种影像的BI-RADS词典联合肿块临床特征得到综合的BI-RADS模型是可行的,极大限度避免漏诊的发生。

文摘The Tibetan antelope is endemic to the Tibetan Plateau,China,and is now considered an endangered species.As a possible rescue strategy,the development of embryos constructed by interspecies somatic cell nuclear transfer(iSCNT)was examined.Tibetan antelope fibroblast cells were transferred into enucleated bovine,ovine and caprine oocytes.These cloned embryos were then cultured in vitro or in the oviducts of intermediate animals.Less than 0.5%of the reconstructed antelope-bovine embryos cultured in vitro developed to the blastocyst stage.However,when the cloned antelope-bovine embryos were transferred to caprine oviducts,about 1.6%of the embryos developed to the blastocyst stage.In contrast,only 0.7%of the antelope-ovine embryos developed to the morula stage and none developed to blastocysts in ovine oviducts.The treatment of donor cells and bovine oocytes with trichostatin A did not improve the embryo development even when cultured in the oviducts of ovine and caprine.When the antelope-bovine embryos,constructed from oocytes treated with roscovitine or trichostatin A,were cultured in rabbit oviducts 2.3%and 14.3%developed to blastocysts,respectively.It is concluded that although some success was achieved with the protocols used,interspecies cloning of Tibetan antelope presents difficulties still to be overcome.The mechanisms resulting in the low embryo development need investigation and progress might require a deeper understanding of cellular reprogramming.
文摘Adsorption of deuterated methanol(CH_(3) OD)on Si(111)surface has been studied at different temperatures by means of thermal desorption spectroscopy.For the adsorption temperature below 420℃,the desorption peak of hydrogen kept up almost unchanged at 510℃(±70℃).But the desorption peak temperature of hydrogen increased obviously for the adsorption temperature above 420℃.We have also found an interesting change in desorption energy of hydrogen.
