This paper firstly analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics, the structural plane types (original structural plane, tectonic structural plane and hypergenic structural plane) and the associated features of the Emeishan basalts and then studies the classification schemes of the built hydropower structure planes of different rock areas (the east district, the central district and the west district) in the Emeishan basalt distribution area, Southwest China. Based on the analysis and comparison of the scale and the engineering geological characteristics of the typical structure planes in the basalt hydroelectric Stations, the types of structural planes are used in the first order classification. The secondary order classification is made by considering the impact factors of rock mass quality, e.g., the state of the structural planes, infilling, joint opening, extending length, the grade of weathering and strength. The engineering geological classification for Emeishan basalt is proposed. Because there are no evidences of a large structure presenting in study area, the first-order (Ⅰ) controlling structural planes do not appear in the classification, there only appear Ⅱ, Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ grade structural planes influencing the rock-mass quality. According to the different rock-block types in bedding fault zone, the second-grade (Ⅱ) structural planes consisted of bedding fault zone is further classified into Ⅱ1, Ⅱ2 and Ⅱ3. The third-grade (Ⅲ) structural planes constructed by intraformational faulted zones are not subdivided. According to the different characteristics of intrusion, alteration and weathering unloading structural planes, the Ⅳ grade structure plane is divided into Ⅳ1, Ⅳ2 and Ⅳ3. In this study, an attempt has been made to evaluate the economic value of the debris flow control engineering in tourist towns by integrating both welfare and disaster economics. The total value of debris flow prevention and control engineering in tourist towns(VDFE) includes investment cost(IC), disaster mitigation benefit(DMB), and loss of brand value(LBV). Here DMB is assessed by the cost-benefit method. The LBV is estimated by incorporating brand equity and costbenefit methods. The engineering for debris flow control in the Hongchun Gully of southwest China was built to protect Yingxiu tourist town and was assessed as an example. The IC for the engineering is180 million RMB, however, the VDFE reaches as high as 3401 million RMB, of which the LBV is 169 million RMB, and the input-output ratio is 1:18. Thus, the LBV cannot be neglected in case of VDFE estimation process. The more developed the tourism in one town or city is, the greater the LBV and the higher the VDFE are.展开更多

Background:Colon cancer is one of the main tumor-related causes of death worldwide and now surgical resection is still the most effective method for the treatment of colon cancer.However,many colon cancers currently l...Background:Colon cancer is one of the main tumor-related causes of death worldwide and now surgical resection is still the most effective method for the treatment of colon cancer.However,many colon cancers currently lose the opportunity for surgical treatment because of liver metastases.The possible molecular mechanism of liver metastasis of colon cancer can provide ideas for the prevention and treatment of liver metastasis colon cancer.Several studies have recently indicated the regulatory effects of microRNAs(miRNAs)in cancer metastasis.Bioinformatics methods were used to analyze the differentially expressed miRNAs in primary colon cancer tissues and liver metastases.Then the target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs were predicted.By analyzing the biological processes and signaling pathways that the target gene may participate in,we infer the possible molecular mechanisms of liver metastasis of colon cancer and the effects of target genes on prognosis of patients were explored.Methods:The chip data GSE98406 was selected and differentially expressed miRNAs between primary colon cancer and liver metastatic colon cancer were explored by Morpheus.TargetScan and miRanda were used to predict target genes of differentially expressed miRNAs.The gene oncology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analyses were performed to analyze the biological processes and possible signaling pathways the target genes involved in.Protein-ptotein interaction analysis was performed by String and Cyotscape,the interactions among target genes and hub genes were analyzed.Finally,we explored the effects of differentially expressed miRNAs and their target genes on the prognosis of colon cancer patients.Results:Two differentially expressed miRNAs were screened out,of which miR-122 was upregulated more than 2 folds and miR-143 was downregulated more than twofold in liver metastatic colon cancer.Target genes of miR-122 and miR-143 were mainly involved in energy metabolism.The major signaling pathways involved are epithelial展开更多

Monte Carlo Simulation analysed the probability of target attainment and cumulative fraction of response.
