During the RU processing, dynamic recrystallization occurs in the Mg alloy, which leads to a significant grain refinement from 11.2 p.m to 2.8 μm. The yield strength (YS), ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and elongation increase simultaneously with increasing RU passes. The microstructural evolution is affected by processing temperatures. Dynamic recrystallization prevails at low temperatures, while dynamic recovery is the main effect factor at high temperatures. WCDA is aimed at the study of TeV γ-rays. In order to evaluate the prospects of searching for TeV γ-ray sources with WCDA, we present a projection of the one-year sensitivity of WCDA to TeV γ-ray sources from TeVCat using an all-sky approach. Studies show that the rear part of the transmitted pulse modulated by ion motion is sharper compared with the case of the electron shutter only. In this study, the ions further modulate the short-cycle pulses transmitted. A 3.9 fs laser pulse with an intensity of 1.33×1021W cm-2is generated by properly controlling the motions of the electron and ion in the simulations. The short-cycle laser pulse source proposed can be applied in the generation of single attosecond pulses and electron acceleration in a small bubble regime.展开更多

The effects of growth temperature on structural, optical and acetone detection properties were investigated with X-ray diffractometry, a UV-visible spectrophotometer, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy and a homemade gas sensor testing unit, respectively. All the films are polycrystalline with a hexagonal wurtzite phase and exhibit a preferential orientation along [002] direction. The film crystallinity is gradually enhanced with an increase in growth temperature. The optical measurements show that all the films are physically highly transparent with a transmittance greater than 82% in the visible range. The band gap of the film is observed to exhibit a slight red shift with an increasing growth temperature. The PL studies on the films show UV/violet PL band at - 395 nm. Among all the films investigated, the film deposited at 250℃ demonstrates a maximum sensitivity of 13% towards 20 ppm of acetone vapors at 300℃ operating temperature.展开更多

文摘The Water Cherenkov Detector Array(WCDA) is a major component of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Array Observatory(LHAASO), a new generation cosmic-ray experiment with unprecedented sensitivity, currently under construction. WCDA is aimed at the study of TeV γ-rays. In order to evaluate the prospects of searching for TeV γ-ray sources with WCDA, we present a projection of the one-year sensitivity of WCDA to TeV γ-ray sources from TeVCat using an all-sky approach. Out of 128 TeVCat sources observable by WCDA up to a zenith angle of 45°, we estimate that 42 would be detectable in one year of observations at a median energy of 1 TeV. Most of them are Galactic sources, and the extragalactic sources are Active Galactic Nuclei(AGN).

文摘Purpose The main scientific goal of LHAASO-WCDA is to survey gamma-ray sources with energy from 100 GeV to 30 TeV.To observe high-energy shower events, especially to measure the energy spectrum of cosmic rays from 100 TeV to 10 PeV,a dynamic range extension system(WCDA++)is designed to use a 1.5-inch PMT with a dynamic range of four orders of magnitude for each cell in WCDA-1.Method The dynamic range is extended by using these PMTs to measure the effective charge density in the core region of air shower events, which is an important parameter for identifying the composition of primary particles.Result and Conclusion The system has been running for more than one year.In this paper, the details of the design and performance of WCDA++are presented.

文摘Purpose Observation of high energy and very high emission from Gamma Ray Bursts(GRBs)is crucial to study the gigantic explosion and the underline processes. With a large field-of-view and almost full duty cycle, the Water Cherenkov Detector Array(WCDA),a sub-array of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),is appropriate to monitor the very high energy emission from unpredictable transients such as GRBs.Method Nevertheless, the main issue for an extensive air shower array is the high energy threshold which limits the horizon of the detector. To address this issue a new trigger method is developed in this article to lower the energy threshold of WCDA for GRB observation.Result The proposed method significantly improves the detection efficiency of WCDA for gamma-rays around the GRB direction at 10-300 GeV.The sensitivity of the WCDA for GRB detection with the new trigger method is estimated. The achieved sensitivity of the quarter WCDA array above 10 GeV is comparable with that of Fermi-LAT.The data analysis process and corresponding fluence upper limit for GRB 190719C is presented as an example.

文摘Metal–metal battery bears great potential for next-generation large-scale energy storage system because of its simple manufacture process and low production cost. However, the cross-over of metal cations from the cathode to the anode causes a loss in capacity and influences battery stability.Herein,a coating of poly(ionic liquid)(PIL)with poly(diallyldimethylammonium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide)(PDADMA^(+)TFSI^(−))on a commercial polypropylene(PP)separator serves as an anion exchange membrane for a 3.3 V copper–lithium battery. The PIL has a positively charged polymer backbone that can block the migration of copper ions, thus improving Coulombic efficiency,long-term cycling stability and inhibiting self-discharge of the battery. It can also facilitate the conduction of anions through the membrane and reduce polarization, especially for fast charging/discharging.Bruce-Vincent method gives the transport number in the electrolyte to be 0.25 and 0.04 for PP separator without and with PIL coating, respectively. This suggests that the PIL layer reduces the contribution of the internal current due to cation transport. The use of PIL as a coating layer for commercial PP separator is a cost-effective way to improve overall electrochemical performance of copper–lithium batteries.Compared to PP and polyacrylic acid(PAA)/PP separators, the PIL/PP membrane raises the Coulombic efficiency to 99%and decreases the average discharge voltage drop to about 0.09 V when the current density is increased from 0.1 to 1 mA cm^(−2).

文摘Al0.3CrFe1.5MnNi0.5 high entropy alloys(HEA)have special properties. The microstructures and shear strengths of HEA/HEA and HEA/6061-Al joints were determined after direct active soldering(DAS)in air with Sn3.5Ag4Ti active filler at 250°C for 60 s.The results showed that the diffusion of all alloying elements of the HEA alloy was sluggish in the joint area. The joint strengths of HEA/HEA and HEA/6061-Al samples,as analyzed by shear testing,were(14.20±1.63)and(15.70±1.35)MPa,respectively.Observation of the fracture section showed that the HEA/6061-Al soldered joints presented obvious semi-brittle fracture characteristics.

文摘Cu-Li battery with Cu metal cathode and Li metal anode is a candidate for next-generation energy storage system. While self-discharge of the battery can be suppressed with an anion exchange membrane, the voltage polarization depends strongly on the electrolyte.Specifically, when an electrolyte with 3 M LiTFSI(lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide)in dimethyl carbonate(DMC)is used, overpotential increases with cycling. In this work,we reveal why the voltage polarization changes, and reduce and stabilize it by replacing DMC solvent with a mixed solvent composed of dimethoxyethane(DME)and propylene carbonate(PC).The new electrolyte has higher ionic conductivity and stable solvation structure with more free TFSI-anions upon cycling, which also facilitates uniform plating of metal ions on the metal electrodes. These characteristics enable a stable Cu-Li battery with minimal change in overpotential for more than 1500 cycles at a current density of 2 m A cm^(-2).

文摘Combining metal to form metal phosphide is a promising strategy to address the fast capacity decay of P rooted from its low electronic conductivity and large volume changes upon cycling. Cu_(3)P, which possesses a high theoretical gravimetric and volumetric capacity of 363 m Ahág^(-1) and 1028 AháL^(-1) and reasonable volume expansion of 156% during sodiation, was investigated as anode material in SIBs. Hollow-structured Cu_(3)P electrode delivers an initial de-sodiation capacity of * 159.0 m Ahág^(-1) with high capacity retention of ~85.1% over 50 cycles at 0.2 C rate and exhibits good rate performance, retaining 70% of the capacity when the current density increases from 0.2 C to 1.6 C. A 3 V-class full cell consisting of P2-Na_(2/3) Ni_(1/3) Mn_(1/2) Ti_(1/6)O_(2) cathode and Cu_(3)P anode was also assembled, which could achieve an energy density of ~189.3 Whákg^(-1)(based on the mass of both electrode materials) and average discharge voltage of~2.91 V when cycled in 1.0-4.3 V at 0.1C.

文摘Air-stable layered structured cathodes with high voltage and good cycling stability are highly desired for the practical application of Na-ion batteries.Herein,we report a P2-Na_(2/3)Ni_(2/3)Te_(1/3)O_(2) cathode that is stable in ambient air with an average operating voltage of~3.8 V,demonstrating excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention of more than 92.7%after 500 cycles at 20 mA g^(-1) and good rate capability with 91.9%capacity utilization at 500 mA g^(-1) with respect to capacity at 5 mA g^(-1) between 2.0 and 4.0 V.When the upper cutoff voltage is increased to 4.4 V,P2-Na_(2/3)Ni_(2/3)Te_(1/3)O_(2) delivers a reversible capacity of 71.9 mAh g^(-1) and retains 91.8%of the capacity after 100 cycles at 20 mA g^(-1).The charge compensation during charge/discharge is mainly due to the redox couple of Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3+)in the host with a small amount of contribution from oxygen. The stable structure of the material without phase transformation and with small volume change during charge-discharge allows it to give excellent cycle performance especially when the upper cutoff voltage is not higher than 4.2 V.

文摘The effects of ion motion on the generation of short-cycle relativistic laser pulses during radiation pressure acceleration are investigated by analytical modeling and particle-in-cell simulations. The short-cycle laser pulse source proposed can be applied in the generation of single attosecond pulses and electron acceleration in a small bubble regime.

文摘Zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were prepared onto glass substrates at moderately low growth tempera- ture by two-stage spray pyrolysis technique. Among all the films investigated, the film deposited at 250℃ demonstrates a maximum sensitivity of 13% towards 20 ppm of acetone vapors at 300℃ operating temperature.
