The satellite-terrestrial cooperative network is considered an emerging network architecture,which can adapt to various services and applications in the future communication network.In recent years,the combination of satellite communication and Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)has become an emerging research hotspot.Satellite edge computing can provide users with full coverage on-orbit computing services by deploying MEC servers on satellites.This paper studies the task offloading of multi-user and multi-edge computing satellites and proposes a novel algorithm that joint task offloading and communication computing resource optimization(JTO-CCRO).The JTO-CCRO is decoupled into task offloading and resource allocation sub-problems.After the mutual iteration of the two sub-problems,the system utility function can be further reduced.For the task offloading sub-problem,it is first confirmed that the offloading problem is a game problem.The offloading strategy can be obtained from the Nash equilibrium solution.We confirm resource optimization sub-problem is a convex optimization problem that can be solved by the Lagrange multiplier method.Simulation shows that the JTO-CCRO algorithm can converge quickly and effectively reduce the system utility function. 展开更多

The space-air-ground integrated network(SAGIN)has gained widespread attention from academia and industry in recent years.It is widely applied in many practical fields such as global observation and mapping,intelligent transportation systems,and military missions.As an information carrier of air platforms,the deployment strategy of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)is essential for communication systems’performance.In this paper,we discuss a UAV broadcast coverage strategy that can maximize energy efficiency(EE)under terrestrial users’requirements.Due to the non-convexity of this issue,conventional approaches often solve with heuristics algorithms or alternate optimization.To this end,we propose an iterative algorithm by optimizing trajectory and power allocation jointly.Firstly,we discrete the UAV trajectory into several stop points and propose a user grouping strategy based on the traveling salesman problem(TSP)to acquire the number of stop points and the optimization range.Then,we use the Dinkelbach method to dispose of the fractional form and transform the original problem into an iteratively solvable convex optimization problem by variable substitution and Taylor approximation.Numerical results validate our proposed solution and outperform the benchmark schemes in EE and mission completion time. 展开更多

The AMQRA is a distributed and mobile-agents-based routing algorithm, which combines ant quantity system (AQS) with ant colony optimization (ACO) that is used in AntNet routing algorithm. In dynamic topology networks, the AMQRA achieves timely optimization for concave metric QoS constraint and fast convergence. The proposed routing algorithm is simulated in Iridium satellite constellation on OPNET. The results show that AMQRA not only outperforms the AntNet in convergence rate in dynamic topology networks but also can optimize concave metric QoS constraint and reasonably allot bandwidth to the load to avoid networks congestion. 展开更多

According to large coverage of satellites, there are various channel states in a satellite broadcasting network. In order to introduce an efficient rateless transmission method to satellite multimedia broadcasting/multicast services with finite-length packets, a cross-layer packet transmission method is proposed with Luby transform (LT) codes for efficiency in the network layer and low density parity check (LDPC) codes for reliability in the physical layer jointly. The codewords generated from an LT encoder are divided into finite-length packets, which are encoded by an LDPC encoder subsequently. Based on noise and fading effects of satellite channels, the LT packets received from an LDPC decoder either have no error or are marked as erased, which can be mod- eled as a binary erasure channels (BECs). By theoretical analysis on LT parameters and LDPC parameters, the relationships between LDPC code rates in the physical layer and LT codes word lengths in the network layer are investigated. With tradeoffs between the LT codes word lengths and the LDPC code rates, optimized cross-layer solutions are achieved with a binary search algorithm. Verified by simulations, the proposed solution for cross-layer parameters design can provide the best transmission mode according to satellite states, so as to improve throughput performance for satellite multimedia transmission. 展开更多

However,mobility is an essential feature of mobile communications networks. In this paper,the detection performance of spectrum sensing by mobile SUs was analyzed. Three performance metrics,i.e.,detection probability,miss detection probability and false alarm probability,were thoroughly investigated. In our analysis,a critical variable was the real-time received primary user signal power by a mobile SU. Its probability distribution and mathematical expectation were analytically derived. Moreover,the three performance metrics in single-node spectrum sensing and multi-node collaborative spectrum sensing systems were also derived. Extensive simulations were performed. The results are consistent with the theoretical analysis. And it is concluded that SU mobility has a significant impact on the detection probability and the miss detection probability,but not on the false alarm probability. 展开更多

The received signal is downconverted to IF, and then direct sampled in IF using a 1-bit A/D. After the digitalization, the sampled data is detected using a hybrid likelihood acquisition scheme. Using this structure, large noise figure of the analog mixer or active filters, amplitude and phase imbalance between low-frequency in-phase and quandrature-phase channel can be avoided. An easy designing algorithm of the acquisition scheme is also derived. The performance and algorithm are verified by computer simulation. 展开更多

Identifying malicious users accurately in cognitive radio networks(CRNs) is the guarantee for excellent detection performance. However, existing algorithms fail to take the mobility of secondary users into consideration. If applied directly in mobile CRNs, those conventional algorithms would overly punish reliable users at extremely bad or good locations, leading to an obvious decrease in detection performance. To overcome this problem, we divide the whole area of interest into several cells to consider the location diversity of the network. Each user's reputation score is updated after each sensing slot and is used for identifying whether it is malicious or not. If so, it would be removed away. And then our algorithm assigns users in cells with better channel conditions, i.e. larger signal-to-noise ratios(SNRs), with larger weighting coefficients, without requiring the prior information of SNR. Detailed analysis about the validity of our algorithm is presented. The simulation results show that in a CRN with 60 mobile secondary users, among which, 18 are malicious, our solution has an improvement of detection probability by 0.97-d B and 3.57-d B when false alarm probability is 0.1, compared with a conventional trust-value-based algorithm and a trusted collaborative spectrum sensing for mobile CRNs, respectively. 展开更多

Both linear chirp signals and combined chirp signals are used in this system to reduce the effect of the cross correlation, and simplify the complexity of the system. The optimal scheme of de- signing both linear chirp signals and combined chirp signals is discussed to minimize the value of the cross correlation and obtain a better system performance. Simulation results show that, compared with the binary orthogonal chirp modulation technique, the M-ary chirp modulation technique based on an optimal chirp signal set has a higher data rate with a reasonable bit-error rate (BER) perform- ance under both additive white gaussian noise (AWGN) channel and indoor wireless channel. 展开更多

To make the modulation classification system more suitable for signals in a wide range of signal to noise ratios (SNRs), a novel adaptive modulation classification scheme is presented in this paper. Differ-ent from traditional schemes, the proposed scheme employs a new SNR estimation algorithm for small samples before modulation classification, which makes the modulation classifier work adaptively according to estimated SNRs. Furthermore, it uses three efficient features and support vector machines (SVM) in modulation classification. Computer simulation shows that the scheme can adaptively classify ten digital modulation types (i.e. 2ASK, 4ASK, 2FSK, 4FSK, 2PSK, 4PSK, 16QAM, TFM, π/4QPSK and OQPSK) at SNRS ranging from 0dB to 25dB and success rates are over 95% when SNR is not lower than 3dB. Accuracy, efficiency and simplicity of the proposed scheme are obviously improved, which make it more adaptive to engineering applications. 展开更多

In this paper, a novel transmission protocol based on polar coding is proposed for the half-duplex degraded relay channel. In the proposed protocol, referred to as the partial message relaying, the relay only needs to forward a part of the decoded source message that the destination needs according to the exquisite nested structure of polar codes. Theoretically, it is proved that the scheme can achieve the capacity of the half-duplex relay channel under the decode-and-forward (DF) cooperation strategy while enjoying low encoding/decoding complexity. Practically, in order to minimize the global transmission power, the optimization of the power allocation is performed between the source and the relay by using information theoretic tools. Furthermore, a joint iterative soft parallel interference cancellation receiver structure is developed to suit to the proposed scheme. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional scheme designed by low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. 展开更多

Integrated satellite and terrestrial networks can be used to solve communication problems in natural disasters,forestry monitoring and control,and military communication.Unlike traditional communication methods,integrated networks are effective solutions because of their advantages in communication,remote sensing,monitoring,navigation,and all-weather seamless coverage.Monitoring,urban management,and other aspects will also have a wide range of applications.This study first builds an integrated network overlay model,and divides the satellite network into two categories:terrestrial network end users and satellite network end users.The energy efficiency,throughput,and signal-to-noise ratio(SINR)are deduced and analyzed.In this paper,we discuss the influence of various factors,such as transmit power,number of users,size of the protected area,and terminal position,on energy efficiency and SINR.A satellite-sharing scheme with a combination of the user location and an exclusion zone with high energy efficiency and anti-jamming capability is proposed to provide better communication quality for end users in integrated satellite and terrestrial networks. 展开更多

A method of controllable internal perturbation inside the chaotic map is proposed to solve the problem in chaotic systems caused by finite precision.A chaotic system can produce large amounts of initial-sensitive,non-cyclical pseudo-random sequences.However,the finite precision brings short period and odd points which obstruct application of chaos theory seriously in digital communication systems.Perturbation in chaotic systems is a possible efficient method for solving finite precision problems,but former researches are limited in uniform distribution maps.The proposed internal perturbation can work on both uniform and non-uniform distribution chaotic maps like Chebyshev map and Logistic map.By simulations,results show that the proposed internal perturbation extends sequence periods and eliminates the odd points,so as to improve chaotic performances of perturbed chaotic sequences. 展开更多

With the proposed analysis approach, the interactions between different congestion control and error control mechanisms, as well as the performanee of various combination protocols in satellite environments have been investigated. Simulation results obtained through a series of experiments have shown that SNACK-based error control strategy can perform well with any other congestion control strategy. The best performanee can be achieved by TCP NewReno congestion control strategy and SNACK-based error control strategy. 展开更多

The improvement of TCP performance over satellite-based Interuet is accomplished by protocol transition gateways at each end of a satellite link. The protocol which runs over a satellite link executes the receiver-driven flow control and acknowledgements- and timeouts-based error control strategies. The validity of this TCP performance enhancing scheme is verified by a series of simulation experiments. Results show that the proposed scheme can efficiently enhance the TCP performance over satellite-based Internet and ensure that the available bandwidth resources of the satellite link are fully utilized. 展开更多

In this paper, we present a protocol, CEWEC (Collaborative, Event-Triggered, Weighted, Energy-Efficient Clustering) , based on collaborative beamfor^ning. It is designed for wireless sensor nodes to realize the long-distance transmission. In order to save the energy of sensor nodes, a node "wakes up "when it has data to be uploaded. In our protocol, multi-layer structure is adopted: trigger-node layers, clusterhead-node layers, child- node layers. The number of child nodes and clusterheads depends on the distance of transmission. Clusterheads are selected according to the node 5 s weight which is based on its residual energy and distance to the trigger node. The main characteristic of this protocol is that clusterheads can directly communication with each other without the large-scale base station and antennas. Thus, the data from the trigger node would be able to be shared within the multi-layer structure. Considering the clustering process, energy model, and success rate, the simulation results show that the CEWEC protocol can effectively manage a large number of sensor nodes to share and transmit data. 展开更多

针对低轨(LEO)大规模卫星星座系统存在电磁空间复杂且难于观测的问题,对低轨卫星星座链路特征进行研究。以Starlink和OneWeb星座为研究对象,根据低轨卫星的星座参数,获取等效全向辐射功(EIRP)值并进行可视化处理;对获取到的低轨电磁卫... 针对低轨(LEO)大规模卫星星座系统存在电磁空间复杂且难于观测的问题,对低轨卫星星座链路特征进行研究。以Starlink和OneWeb星座为研究对象,根据低轨卫星的星座参数,获取等效全向辐射功(EIRP)值并进行可视化处理;对获取到的低轨电磁卫星数据进行分析,获取数据的衰减特性和时间、频率等的数据关系,计算星间的链路干扰以及时间上的分布特征;获取相对干扰时间的特征值以及星间数据的衰减与时频的多维特性,并分析不同场景下的干扰时间特征,从多个维度分析低轨大规模卫星星座系统间星间链路的干扰情况并进行仿真验证。实验证明了低轨大规模卫星星座系统之间的星间链路存在干扰情况,且频率越高,干扰现象越明显。 展开更多
