We report the development of a head-mounted photoacoustic fiberscope for cerebral imaging in a freely behaving mouse.The 4.5-gram imaging probe has a 9-µm lateral resolution and 0.2-Hz frame rate over a 1.2-mm wi...We report the development of a head-mounted photoacoustic fiberscope for cerebral imaging in a freely behaving mouse.The 4.5-gram imaging probe has a 9-µm lateral resolution and 0.2-Hz frame rate over a 1.2-mm wide area.The probe can continuously monitor cerebral oxygenation and hemodynamic responses at single-vessel resolution,showing significantly different cerebrovascular responses to external stimuli under anesthesia and in the freely moving state.For example,when subjected to high-concentration CO_(2) respiration,enhanced oxygenation to compensate for hypercapnia can be visualized due to cerebral regulation in the freely moving state.Comparative studies exhibit significantly weakened compensation capabilities in obese rodents.This new imaging modality can be used for investigating both normal and pathological cerebrovascular functions and shows great promise for studying cerebral activity,disorders and their treatments.展开更多
Lakes are the main reservoirs of persistent organic pollutants(POPs)from land,atmo sphere and rivers.POPs in lakes undergo complex exchange,transformation,and degradation between water-air-sediment-biota interfaces,wh...Lakes are the main reservoirs of persistent organic pollutants(POPs)from land,atmo sphere and rivers.POPs in lakes undergo complex exchange,transformation,and degradation between water-air-sediment-biota interfaces,which are constrained and regulated by various physical,chemical and biological factors.POPs can affect ecological conditions,chemical properties of water and sedi ments,and biodiversity of the lake system.Therefore,it is important to study the sources,migration,transformation,environmental behavior and ecological impacts of POPs in lake ecosystems.This re view summarizes research progress on detection technologies,diversity and origins,historical records,migration and transformation,distribution patterns,degradation and toxic effects of POPs in lakes.Fi nally,future directions related to POPs in lakes were summarized.展开更多

In this study, we ...Annexin A5 is a Ca2?-dependent phospholipidbinding protein and protein kinase C inhibitory protein. It has a potential role in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth and differentiation. In this study, we evaluated the expression of this protein in lung tumor tissues and subsequently established a NCI-H520 cell line that stably expresses the wild-type ANXA5 gene to determine the effects of annexin A5 upregulation on the cell morphology, proliferation and metastasis potential in vitro.The effects of annexin A5 on NCI-H520 cells were tested by crystal violet staining, CCK-8 assay, scratch wound assay, and Transwell assay. The expressions of Akt,PCNA, vimentin, and E-cadherin were examined by Western blot assay. In this study, we demonstrated that annexin A5 is expressed at lower levels in tumor tissues compared with normal tissues. Additionally, the upregulation of this protein may inhibit the proliferation, migration, and invasion abilities of NCI-H520 cells in vitro. The transfected cells were arrested in the G1/S phase of the cell cycle, and the expression levels of Akt, PCNA and Vimentin were downregulated, while E-cadherin was upregulated.展开更多
