The platform, including the SG-II laser facility, SG-II 9th beam, SG-II upgrade(SG-II UP) facility, and SG-II 5 PW facility, is operational and available for interested scientists studying inertial confinement fusion(ICF) and a broad range of high-energy-density physics. These facilities can provide important experimental capabilities by combining different pulse widths of nanosecond, picosecond, and femtosecond scales. In addition, the SG-II UP facility, consisting of a single petawatt system and an eight-beam nanosecond system, is introduced including several laser technologies that have been developed to ensure the performance of the facility. Recent developments of the SG-II 5 PW facility are also presented.展开更多

Herein, we have developed a facile and scaled-up solution ro...The easy oxidation and surface roughness of Cu nanowire (NW) films are the main bottlenecks for their usage in transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs). Herein, we have developed a facile and scaled-up solution route to prepare Cu NW-based TCEs by embedding Cu NWs into pre-coated smooth poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) films on poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) substrates. The so obtained Cu NW- PEDOT:PSS/PET films have low surface roughness (-70 nm in height), high stability toward oxidation and good flexibility. The optimal TCEs show a typical sheet resistance of 15Ω·sq-1 at high transparency (76% at A = 550 nm) and have been used successfully to make polymer (poly(3-hexylthiophene):phenyl-C61- butyric acid methyl ester) solar cells, giving an efficiency of 1.4%. The overall properties of Cu NW-PEDOT:PSS/PET films demonstrate their potential application as a replacement for indium tin oxide in flexible solar cells.展开更多

The natural gas hydrate has been regarded as an important future green energy.Significant progress on the hydrate exploitation has been made,but some challenges are still remaining.In order to enhance the hydrate expl...The natural gas hydrate has been regarded as an important future green energy.Significant progress on the hydrate exploitation has been made,but some challenges are still remaining.In order to enhance the hydrate exploitation efficiency,a significant understanding of the effective thermal conductivity(ETC)of the hydrate-bearing sediment has become essential,since it directly controls the heat and mass transfer behaviors,and thereby determines the stability of hydrate reservoir and production rate.In this study,the effective thermal conductivities of various hydrate-bearing sediments were in-situ measured and studied.The impacts of temperature,particle size and type of sediment were investigated.The effective thermal conductivities of the quartz sand sediments before and after hydrate formation were in-situ measured.The results show the weak negative correlation of effective thermal conductivity of the quartz sand sediment on the temperature before and after the hydrate formation.The effective thermal conductivity of the hydrate-bearing sediment decreases with the increase of particle size of the sediment.The dominant effect of the type of porous medium on the characteristics of the effective thermal conductivity of hydrate-bearing sediment was highlighted.The results indicate that both the effective thermal conductivities of hydrate-bearing quartz sand sediment and hydrate-bearing silicon carbide sediment are weakly negatively correlated with temperature,but the effective thermal conductivity of hydrate-bearing clay sediment is weakly positively dependent on the temperature.In addition,the values of the effective thermal conductivities of various hydrate-bearing sediments are in the order of hydrate-bearing silicon carbide sediment>hydrate-bearing quartz sand sediment>hydrate-bearing clay sediment.These findings could suggest that the intrinsic thermal conductivity of porous medium could control the characteristics of effective thermal conductivity of hydrate-bearing sediment.展开更多

We conducted this study to investigate the mutation of type Ⅱ human basic hair keratin hH...Monilethrix, a congenital disease of hair, is usually associated with mutations in keratin genes, like KRT81, KRT83 and KRT86. We conducted this study to investigate the mutation of type Ⅱ human basic hair keratin hHb/ KRT gene in a Han family with monilethrix and obtain information for potential pathogenic mechanism study of monilethrix. Peripheral blood samples were drawn for genomic DNA detection. Exon 1 and exon 7 of the KRT81, KRT83 and KRT86 genes were amplified by PCR. All PCR products were sequenced directly using an ABI 310 DNA sequencer. These sequences were aligned with the standard sequences in GenBank using the BLAST software. PCR products were digested with restriction endonuclease and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis was performed. In this study, we identified one novel mutation, which is a heterozygous transitional mutation of G→A at position 1,289 in exon 7 of the KRT86 gene [R430Q (KRT86)]. RFLP assays for the novel mutation excluded the possibility of polymorphism. The R430Q mutation of the KRT86 gene may be pathogenic for monilethrix. Meanwhile, we did not find any novel mutation or recurrent mutation in exons 1 and 7 of KRT81 and KRT83 and exon 1 of KRT86. There is a potential pathogenic gene in the subjects and our results expand the spectrum of mutations in the hHb6 gene.展开更多

Hypertrichosis is one of the most common side effects of systemic cyclosporine A therapy.It has been previously shown that cyclosporine A induces anagen and inhibits catagen development in mice.In the present study,to...Hypertrichosis is one of the most common side effects of systemic cyclosporine A therapy.It has been previously shown that cyclosporine A induces anagen and inhibits catagen development in mice.In the present study,to explore the mechanisms of cyclosporine A,we investigated the effects of cyclosporine A on hair shaft elongation,hair follicle cell proliferation,apoptosis,and mRNA expression of selected growth factors using an organ culture model of mouse vibrissae.In this model,cyclosporine A stimulated hair growth of normal mouse vibrissae follicles by inhibiting catagen-like development and promoting matrix cell proliferation.In addition,cyclosporine A caused an increase in the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),hepatocyte growth factor(HGF),and nerve growth factor(NGF),and inhibited follistatin expression.Our findings provide an explanation for the clinically observed effects of cyclosporine A on hair growth.The mouse vibrissae organ culture offers an attractive model for identifying factors involved in the modulation of hair growth.展开更多
