The Ni3S2 showed a flower-like morphology and was uniformly distributed on the G/Ni surface. The flower-like Ni3S2 was composed of cross-arrayed nanoflakes with a diameter and a thickness of 1-2 μm and -50 nm, re- spectively. The free space in the flowers and the thin feature of Ni3S2 buffered the volume changes and relieved mechanical strain during re- peated cycling. The intimate contact with the Ni substrate and the fixing effect of graphene maintained the structural stability of the Ni3S2 electrode during cycling. The G/Ni-supported Ni3S2 maintained a reversible capacity of 250 mAh·g^-1 after 100 cycles at 50 mA·g^-1, demon- strating the good cycling stability as a result of the unique microstructure of this electrode material.展开更多

Male idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (IHH) is a congenital disease that manifests as small testes, a short penis and no pubertal development. Some patients exhibit cryptorchism and ambiguous genitalia [1]. IHH has been reported being caused by gene mutations in KAL-1, FGFR1, GnRHR, GPR54, and several other ligands and receptors [2]. For these patients, gonadotropins or testosterone is the primary choice of therapy. However, adult-onset IHH,展开更多

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) on insulin sensitivity, body composition, serum lipid profiles and high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) in hypogonadotropic hypogonadal (HH) puberty undeveloped male patients. Methods In this prospectively designed study, we compared homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR), insulin areas under the curves (AUC) of 3-hour oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) and other metabolic parameters between 26 HH patients and 26 healthy men. The patients' HOMA-IR, insulin AUC, body composition, lipid profiles, hsCRP and other parameters were compared before and after nine-month TRT. Results The average levels of total testosterone (TT) in HH and healthy group were (0.9±0.6) nmol/L and (18.8±3.4) nmol/L, respectively. HOMA-IR in HH group was significantly higher than the healthy group (5.14±5.16 vs 2.00±1.38, P 〈0.005). Insulin AUC in 3-hour OGTT in HH group was significantly higher than the healthy group (698.6±414.7 vs 414.2±267.5, P 〈0.01). Fasting glucose level in H H group was significantly higher than control group ((5.1±0.6) mmol/L vs (4.7±0.3) mmol/l, P 〈0.005). Height, weight and grasp strength of the patients were significantly increased after 9-month TRT. Significant reductions in HOMA-IR (from 5.14±5.16 to 2.97±2.16, P 〈0.01), insulin AUC (from 698.6±414.7 to 511.7±253.9, P 〈0.01) and hsCRP (from (1.49±1.18) mg/L to (0.70±0.56) mg/L, P 〈0.05) were found after TRT. Serum total cholesterol, LDL-C, HDL-C and triglyceride were all decreased, albeit with no significant difference compared to the level prior to TRT. Conclusions HOMA-IR, insulin AUC and fasting glucose level in HH young male pat展开更多

The corrosion kinetic parameters of structural steel Q345B specimens immersed in 3.5wt% NaCl solution for 1–2 h were determined using linear polarization resistance(LPR), Tafel-curve multiparameter fitting, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS), and electrochemical frequency modulation(EFM) methods. The advantages and disadvantages of each method were investigated and discussed through comparative investigation. Meanwhile, the average corrosion rate was examined using traditional coupon tests. The results showed that the corrosion current density values estimated by EFM at a base frequency of 0.001 Hz and those obtained by Tafel-curve four-parameter fitting(TC4) are similar and consistent with the results of coupon tests. Because of their slight perturbation of the corrosion system, EIS and EFM/TC4 in collaborative application are the recommended techniques for determining the kinetics and the corresponding parameters for the homogeneous corrosion of the naked metal. In our study of the electrochemical kinetics, we obtained much more abundant and accurate electrochemical kinetic parameters through the combined use of different electrochemical methods.展开更多

The micromechanical model considers actual cubic structure and orthogonal anisotropy properties. The von Mises stress, elastic strain energy density, and hydrostatic pressure in dif- ferent inclusions of micromechanical model are calculated when applying a tensile or compressive loading along the [001] direction. The calculated results can successfully pre- dict the rafting direction for alloys exhibiting a positive or a negative mismatch, which are in agreement with pervious experimental and theoretical studies. Moreover, the elastic constant differences and mismatch degree of the matrix and precipitate phases and their influences on the rafting direction are carefully discussed.展开更多

METHODS: In mice, IOP was increased to 110 mm Hg for 50 min and LRIC applied to the unilateral leg for three occlusion cycles(5 min/release). Three animal groups(control, high IOP, and high IOP+LRIC) were arranged in this study. Plasma was collected from LRIC treated mice. Retinal histology, oxidative stress were determined by histological section staining and chemical kit. C/EBP homologous protein(CHOP), and Iba-1 parameters were evaluated by immunofluorescent staining and Western blot. RESULTS: The data showed that LRIC treatment alleviated the retinal histological disorganization and ganglion cell loss induced by high IOP. The CHOP, Iba-1 expression and oxidative stress marker also were inhibited by LRIC treatment. To further explore underlying mechanisms, plasma from LRIC treated animals was intravenously transfused into high-IOP animals. The results showed plasma injection decreased caspase 9 expression and DHE staining signals compared with that in high IOP retinas. CONCLUSION: These data suggest that LRIC treatments exert retinal protective effects against high-IOP injury.Endogenous humoral factors release into the circulation by LRIC may contribute to homeostatic protection by reducing monocyte infiltration and/or microglia activation.展开更多

Methods: A total of 85 patients who were diagnosed with severe acute pancreatitis in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University between June 2013 and August 2016 were enrolled in SAP group, and 100 healthy volunteers who received physical examination during the same period were enrolled in control group. Then serum inflammatory factors, liver function injury indexes, renal function injury indexes and intestinal mucosal barrier function indexes as well as urine renal function injury indexes were determined. Results: Serum PCT, TNF-α, CRP, HMGB-1, ALT, AST, TBIL, BUN, Scr, CysC, DAO, D-lactate, Occludin and ZO-1 levels as well as urine NGAL and KIM-1 levels of SAP group were significantly higher than those of control group;serum PCT, TNF-α, CRP and HMGB-1 levels of patients with SAP were positively correlated with serum ALT, AST, TBIL, BUN, Scr, CysC, DAO, D-lactate, Occludin and ZO-1 levels as well as urine NGAL and KIM-1 levels. Conclusion: Abnormal release of inflammatory factors in serum of SAP patients can cause liver function, renal function and intestinal mucosal barrier function injury.展开更多
