In this s...Kai Xin San(KXS, containing ginseng, hoelen, polygala, and acorus), a traditional Chinese herbal compound, has been found to regulate cognitive dysfunction; however, its mechanism of action is still unclear. In this study, 72 specific-pathogen-free male Kunming mice aged 8 weeks were randomly divided into a vehicle control group, scopolamine group, low-dose KXS group, moderate-dose KXS group, high-dose KXS group, and positive control group. Except for the vehicle control group and scopolamine groups(which received physiological saline), the doses of KXS(0.7, 1.4 and 2.8 g/kg per day) and donepezil(3 mg/kg per day) were gastrointestinally administered once daily for 2 weeks. On day 8 after intragastric treatment, the behavioral tests were carried out. Scopolamine group and intervention groups received scopolamine 3 mg/kg per day through intraperitoneal injection. The effects of KXS on spatial learning and memory, pathological changes of brain tissue, expression of apoptosis factors, oxidative stress injury factors, synapse-associated protein, and cholinergic neurotransmitter were measured. The results confirmed the following.(1) KXS shortened the escape latency and increased residence time in the target quadrant and the number of platform crossings in the Morris water maze.(2) KXS increased the percentage of alternations between the labyrinth arms in the mice of KXS groups in the Y-maze.(3) Nissl and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling staining revealed that KXS promoted the production of Nissl bodies and inhibited the formation of apoptotic bodies.(4) Western blot assay showed that KXS up-regulated the expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 and inhibited the expression of pro-apoptotic protein Bax. Converter slag is a by-product of the steelmaking process and contains a large amount of Ca,Fe,P and other elements.If the phosphorus in the converter slag can be effectively extracted,the resulting phosphorus can be ...Converter slag is a by-product of the steelmaking process and contains a large amount of Ca,Fe,P and other elements.If the phosphorus in the converter slag can be effectively extracted,the resulting phosphorus can be used as a phosphate fertilizer.Phosphorus in converter slag is mainly enriched in 2CaO·SiO_(2)-3CaO·P_(2)O_(5)(C_(2)S-C_(3)P)solid solution and is easily dissolved in water.Therefore,acid leaching method was used to dissolve the solid solution to extract phosphorus in converter slag,so as to realize the recycling of phosphorus resources in converter slag.The leaching behavior of three actual converter slags from different steel mills in acid leaching solutions composed of citric acid,sodium hydroxide,hydrochloric acid and deionized water was studied by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy combined with energy dispersive spectrometry,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy to reveal the change in object image structure as well as SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron before and after acid leaching.The results show that only a small amount of phosphorus in converter slag with too low basicity is enriched in C_(2)S-C_(3)P solid solution,resulting in poor leaching effect.When the converter slag has a high basicity,the removal effect of phosphorus is 70.64%-81.88%.In addition,when the basicity of converter slag is roughly the same,the dephosphorization effect of slag with high FeO content is relatively poor.And acid leaching will cause depolymerization behavior of SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron,so that the mole fraction of Q0(Si)(asymmetric stretching vibration of Si-O bond in SiO_(4) tetrahedron with bridge oxygen number of 0)and NBO/Si(non-bridging oxygen in silicate tetrahedra)will increase.Phosphate-containing solids can be obtained from the solution after acid leaching through static precipitation,and the solids have the potential to make phosphate fertilizers.展开更多
In quantum mechanics,a norm-squared wave function can be interpreted as the probability density that describes the likelihood of a particle to be measured in a given position or momentum.This statistical property is a...In quantum mechanics,a norm-squared wave function can be interpreted as the probability density that describes the likelihood of a particle to be measured in a given position or momentum.This statistical property is at the core of the fuzzy structure of microcosmos.Recently,hybrid neural structures raised intense attention,resulting in various intelligent systems with farreaching influence.Here,we propose a probability-density-based deep learning paradigm for the fuzzy design of functional metastructures.In contrast to other inverse design methods,our probability-density-based neural network can efficiently evaluate and accurately capture all plausible metastructures in a high-dimensional parameter space.Local maxima in probability density distribution correspond to the most likely candidates to meet the desired performances.We verify this universally adaptive approach in but not limited to acoustics by designing multiple metastructures for each targeted transmission spectrum,with experiments unequivocally demonstrating the effectiveness and generalization of the inverse design.展开更多
The monopile is the most common foundation to support offshore wind turbines.In the marine environment,local scour due to combined currents and waves is a significant issue that must be considered in the design of win...The monopile is the most common foundation to support offshore wind turbines.In the marine environment,local scour due to combined currents and waves is a significant issue that must be considered in the design of wind turbine foundations.In this paper,a full-scale numerical model was developed and validated based on field data from Rudong,China.The scour development around monopiles was investigated,and the effects of waves and the Reynolds number Re were analyzed.Several formulas for predicting the scour depth in the literature have been evaluated.It is found that waves can accelerate scour development even if the KC number is small(0.78<KC<1.57).The formula obtained from small-scale model tests may be unsafe or wasteful when it is applied in practical design due to the scale effect.A new equation for predicting the scour depth based on the average pile Reynolds number(Rea)is proposed and validated with field data.The equilibrium scour depth predicted using the proposed equation is evaluated and compared with those from nine equations in the literature.It is demonstrated that the values predicted from the proposed equation and from the S/M(Sheppard/Melville)equation are closer to the field data.展开更多

Donghua steel continuous casting-rolling(DSCCR)production line is an endless rolling production line independently integrated and developed by a Chinese enterprise.To solve the problem of out-of-control shape caused b...Donghua steel continuous casting-rolling(DSCCR)production line is an endless rolling production line independently integrated and developed by a Chinese enterprise.To solve the problem of out-of-control shape caused by insufficient adjustment ability of work roll bending force of DSCCR finishing mills,the backup roll contours of the finishing mill were optimized considering multi-objectives,and varying contact length backup roll(VCR)contours matching the concave work rolls were designed based on the rapid rolls-strip deformation calculation model,which integrated the elastic deformation of the rolls and the fast plastic deformation of the rolled strip.The simulation results showed that VCR configuration can significantly enhance the control efficiency of the work roll bending force and increase the transverse stiffness of rolling mill compared with the conventional roll configuration.In addition,VCR backup roll can improve the contact state between backup roll and work roll.The industrial production showed that the bending force setup value was more reasonable and the strip crown control accuracy was improved.展开更多

Liver injury remains a significant global health problem and has a variety of causes,including oxidative stress(OS),inflammation,and apoptosis of liver cells.There is currently no curative therapy for this disorder.Sa...Liver injury remains a significant global health problem and has a variety of causes,including oxidative stress(OS),inflammation,and apoptosis of liver cells.There is currently no curative therapy for this disorder.Sanwei Ganjiang Prescription(SWGJP),derived from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has shown its effectiveness in long-term liver damage therapy,although the underlying molecular mechanisms are still not fully understood.To explore the underlining mechanisms of action for SWGJP in liver injury from a holistic view,in the present study,a systems pharmacology approach was developed,which involved drug target identification and multilevel data integration analysis.Using a comprehensive systems approach,we identified 43 candidate compounds in SWGJP and 408 corresponding potential targets.We further deciphered the mechanisms of SWGJP in treating liver injury,including compound-target network analysis,target-function network analysis,and integrated pathways analysis.We deduced that SWGJP may protect hepatocytes through several functional modules involved in liver injury integrated-pathway,such as Nrf2-dependent anti-oxidative stress module.Notably,systems pharmacology provides an alternative way to investigate the complex action mode of TCM.展开更多

The aim of this study was to review a thirteen-year experience in restoration of thumb opposition by transposing flexor pollicis brevis muscle. Methods From July 1992 to August 2005, 63 patients without thumb opposition because of late median never injury were treated by transposing the flexor pollicis brevis muscle. All the patients had received primary nerve repair after the jnjury. The interval between the injury and the second operation was (1.87±9.31) years (6 months to 4.2 years). The patients were followed up for 3 to 48 [months mean (22.93±9.31) months]. A functional evaluation system designed in 1992 were used to estimate the outcomes of the patients. Results All the patients gained excellent functional results without complications and disabilities during follow-up. Conclusions Restoration of thumb opposition by transposing flexsor pollicis brevis muscle has the following advantages: 1. Operative trauma is minimal; 2. It is not necessary to transpose other tendons; 3. Except for the thumb in opposition, movements of other fingers and the wrist are not restricted postoperatively.展开更多

文摘Liver injury remains a significant global health problem and has a variety of causes,including oxidative stress(OS),inflammation,and apoptosis of liver cells.There is currently no curative therapy for this disorder.Sanwei Ganjiang Prescription(SWGJP),derived from traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),has shown its effectiveness in long-term liver damage therapy,although the underlying molecular mechanisms are still not fully understood.To explore the underlining mechanisms of action for SWGJP in liver injury from a holistic view,in the present study,a systems pharmacology approach was developed,which involved drug target identification and multilevel data integration analysis.Using a comprehensive systems approach,we identified 43 candidate compounds in SWGJP and 408 corresponding potential targets.We further deciphered the mechanisms of SWGJP in treating liver injury,including compound-target network analysis,target-function network analysis,and integrated pathways analysis.We deduced that SWGJP may protect hepatocytes through several functional modules involved in liver injury integrated-pathway,such as Nrf2-dependent anti-oxidative stress module.Notably,systems pharmacology provides an alternative way to investigate the complex action mode of TCM.
文摘Over 75% of patients with acute hepatitis C (HCV) will develop into chronic infection associated with chronic hepatitis, end stage liver disease or hepatocellular carcinoma. HCV infection is usually ignored because the level of HCV in serum of some patients is very low and most patients with chronic HCV infection are asymptomatic. Some patients with persistent abnormal liver function may be infected with HCV although HCV RNA and HCV antibodies in serum are negative because their HCV load is under the current detectable limit or sometimes HCV is absent in serum but present in the liver or peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and other tissues.

文摘Background To repair late median nerve injury, many methods have been used in the past years. The aim of this study was to review a thirteen-year experience in restoration of thumb opposition by transposing flexor pollicis brevis muscle. Methods From July 1992 to August 2005, 63 patients without thumb opposition because of late median never injury were treated by transposing the flexor pollicis brevis muscle. All the patients had received primary nerve repair after the jnjury. The interval between the injury and the second operation was (1.87±9.31) years (6 months to 4.2 years). The patients were followed up for 3 to 48 [months mean (22.93±9.31) months]. A functional evaluation system designed in 1992 were used to estimate the outcomes of the patients. Results All the patients gained excellent functional results without complications and disabilities during follow-up. Conclusions Restoration of thumb opposition by transposing flexsor pollicis brevis muscle has the following advantages: 1. Operative trauma is minimal; 2. It is not necessary to transpose other tendons; 3. Except for the thumb in opposition, movements of other fingers and the wrist are not restricted postoperatively.
文摘目的探讨妊娠晚期孕妇体位对彩色多普勒超声检测胎儿脐动脉和大脑中动脉血流影响及彩色多普勒超声检测预测胎儿宫内缺氧价值。方法应用彩色多普勒超声检测67例妊娠晚期孕妇仰卧位、左侧卧位及右侧卧位胎儿脐动脉和大脑中动脉血流动力学参数[收缩期峰值(PSV)、舒张期末最大血流速度(EDV)、阻力指数(RI)、搏动指数(PI)、PSV与EDV之比(S/D)],比较各体位时参数变化,并与胎儿出生后1 min Apgar评分结果作比较,评估彩色多普勒超声检测预测胎儿宫内缺氧的价值。结果妊娠晚期孕妇不同体位时胎儿脐动脉血流动力学参数比较,仰卧位PSV、RI和PI均高于左、右侧卧位,EDV均低于左、右侧卧位,S/D高于右侧卧位,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01);左侧卧位EDV高于右侧卧位,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。妊娠晚期孕妇不同体位时胎儿大脑中动脉血流动力学参数比较,左侧卧位RI和PI均低于右侧卧位,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01);仰卧位PSV、RI、PI和S/D均高于左、右侧卧位,EDV均低于左、右侧卧位,差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。本组新生儿出生后1 min Apgar评分8~10分者61例,4~8分者6例;仰卧位与左、右侧卧位时彩色多普勒超声检测胎儿大脑中动脉与脐动脉RI比值均>1,轻度窒息6例均未能在彩色多普勒超声检测中被预测。结论妊娠晚期孕妇不同体位对彩色多普勒超声检测胎儿脐动脉和大脑中动脉血流动力学参数有明显影响,胎儿脐动脉和大脑中动脉血流动力学参数难以预测新生儿轻度窒息。
