However, the thermal cycles experienced by the material to be joined during FSW resulted in the deterioration of mechanical properties due to the coarsening and dissolution of strengthening precipitates in the thermo-mechanical affected zone(TMAZ) and heat affected zone(HAZ). This study aimed at finding the best suitable process among the fusion welding processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) by evaluating the tensile properties of AA5059 aluminium alloy joints. The fracture path was identified by mapping the low hardness distribution profile (LHDP) across the weld cross section under tensile loading. Optical and scanning electron microscopies were used to characterize the microstructural features of the welded joints at various zones. It is evident from the results that GTAW joints showed superior tensile properties compared to GMAW joints and this is primarily owing to the presence of finer grains in the weld metal zone (WMZ) and narrow heat-affected zone (HAZ). The lower heat input associated with the GTAW process effectively reduced the size of the WMZ and HAZ compared to GMAW process. Lower heat input of GTAW process results in faster cooling rate which hinders the grain growth and reduces the evaporation of magnesium in weld metal compared to GMAW joints. The fracture surface of GTAW joint consists of more dimples than GMAW joints which is an indication that the GTAW joint possess improved ductility than GMAW joint.展开更多

Joints were fabricated using different combination of process parameters such as rotational speed and welding speed. Based on macrostructural analysis, the friction stir welding window was constructed. The strength values of joints at different regions of friction stir welding window were analyzed using tensile properties, microstructural studies, and the fracture location of joints was correlated with the lowest hardness distribution profiles. These windows will act as reference maps for selecting appropriate friction stir welding process parameters to get good quality welds of AA2219 aluminium alloys.展开更多

By consolidating the unused server space, memory can be reused for another data allocation. The objective of this paper is to improve resource utilization. Residual resource fragmentation refers to the state of the data center where sufficient amount of residual resources are available for any new VM allocation. To achieve this, there are three methods followed here. Active physical servers are identified. Then the maximum utilization of the resources is found out. Finally the resources are allocated and scheduled using the developed algorithm. In this work, we have proposed a new algorithm enhanced cloud consolidating algorithm. This algorithm improves some of the qualities of the cloud consolidating algorithm. Here the allocation technique is based on the cost and the memory.展开更多

To this end, proper ashes beneficiation techniques can be put into practice. The adsorption of toxic compounds from industrial wastewater is an effective method for both treating these effluents and recycling lignite fly ash. The aim of this paper is to give a contribution for understanding the relationships among beneficiation treatments, adsorbent properties and adsorption mechanism and efficiency. In this context, the lignite fly ash was demineralised using concentrated HCl and HF (FA-DEM) and was used as adsorbent for Zn(II) ions from aqueous solutions. Batch experiments were carried out under various adsorbent dosages, pH, contact time and different metal ion concentrations. For FA-DEM, the 57.7% removal of Zn(II) ion was achieved under the optimum conditions of adsorbent dosages of 4 g/L, pH at 6, temperature at 303 K and the contact time of 1.15 h. The adsorption of Zn(II) ions onto FA-DEM followed the pseudo second order kinetics. The Langmuir isotherm model best represented the equilibrium data.展开更多

The active inductor circuit uses the PMOS cascode structure as the negative transconductor of a gyrator to reduce the noise voltage. Also, this structure provides possible negative resistance to reduce the inductor loss with wide inductive bandwidth and high resonance frequency. The RF band pass filter is realized using the proposed active inductor with suitable input and output buffer stages. The tuning of the center frequency for multiband operation is achieved through the controllable current source. The designed active inductor and RF band pass filter are simulated in 180 nm and 45 nm CMOS process using the Synopsys HSPICE simulation tool and their performances are compared. The parameters, such as resonance frequency, tuning capability, noise and power dissipation, are analyzed for these CMOS technologies and discussed. The design of a third order band pass filter using an active inductor is also presented.展开更多

MAO parameters were also optimized to achieve coatings with minimum porosity and maximum hardness. Further, the effect of MAO parameters on coating characteristics was analysed. From the results, it is found that the current density has greater influence on the responses than the other two parameters.
文摘AA5059 is one of the high strength armor grade aluminium alloy that finds its applications in the military vehicles due to the higher resistance against the armor piercing (AP) threats. The fracture surface of GTAW joint consists of more dimples than GMAW joints which is an indication that the GTAW joint possess improved ductility than GMAW joint.
文摘In the Digital World scenario, the confidentiality of information in video transmission plays an important role.Chaotic systems have been shown to be effective for video signal encryption. To improve video transmission secrecy, compressive encryption method is proposed to accomplish compression and encryption based on fractional order hyper chaotic system that incorporates Compressive Sensing(CS),pixel level, bit level scrambling and nucleotide Sequences operations. The measurement matrix generates by the fractional order hyper chaotic system strengthens the efficiency of the encryption process. To avoid plain text attack, the CS measurement is scrambled to its pixel level, bit level scrambling decreases the similarity between the adjacent measurements and the nucleotide sequence operations are done on the scrambled bits, increasing the encryption. Two stages are comprised in the reconstruction technique, the first stage uses the intra-frame similarity and offers robust preliminary retrieval for each frame, and the second stage iteratively improves the efficiency of reconstruction by integrating inter frame Multi Hypothesis(MH)estimation and weighted residual sparsity modeling. In each iteration, the residual coefficient weights are modified using a mathematical approach based on the MH predictions, and the Split Bregman iteration algorithm is defined to resolve weighted l1 regularization.Experimental findings show that the proposed algorithm provides good compression of video coupled with an efficient encryption method that is resistant to multiple attacks.

文摘A friction stir welding window was developed for effective joining of AA2219 aluminium alloy. These windows will act as reference maps for selecting appropriate friction stir welding process parameters to get good quality welds of AA2219 aluminium alloys.
文摘In cloud computing, server consolidation is the part where very few persons go through the same. Here the allocation technique is based on the cost and the memory.

文摘The main objective of this investigation is to study the influence of arc constriction current frequency(ACCF)on tensile properties and microstructural evolution of aerospace Alloy 718 sheets(2 mm in thickness)joined by constricted arc TIG(CA-TIG)welding process. One variable at a time approach of design of experiments(DOE)was used,in which ACCF was varied from 4 to 20 kHz at an interval of 5 levels while other parameters were kept constant. The joints welded using ACCF of 4 kHz exhibited superior tensile properties extending joint efficiency up to 99.20%.It is attributed to the grain refinement in fusion zone leading to the evolution of finer, discrete Laves phase in interdendritic areas. An increase of ACCF above 12 kHz caused severe grain growth and evolution of coarser Laves phase in fusion zone.Alloy 718 welds showed more obvious tendency for Nb segregation and Laves phase formation at higher levels of ACCF due to the slower cooling rate. The volume fraction of Laves phase was increased by 62.31%at ACCF of 20 kHz compared to that at 4 kHz,thereby reducing the tensile properties of joints. This is mainly due to the stacking of heat input in weld thermal cycles at increased levels of ACCF.

文摘The magnetically constricted arc technique was implemented to mitigate the heat input related metallurgical problems in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding(GTAW)of Inconel 718 alloy particularly Nb segregation and subsequent laves phase evolution in fusion zone. This paper reports the direct effect of magnetically constricted arc traverse speed(MCATS)on bead profile, tensile properties and microstructural evolution of Inconel 718 alloy sheets joined by Gas Tungsten Constricted Arc Welding(GTCAW)process. The mechanism amenable for the microstructural modification and corresponding influence on the tensile properties of joints is investigated both in qualitative and quantitative manner related to the mechanics of arc constriction and pulsing. It is correlated to the solidification conditions during welding. The relationship between MCATS and Arc Constriction Current(ACC)was derived. Its interaction effect on the magnetic arc constriction and joint performance was analysed. Results showed that the joints fabricated using CATS of 70 mm/min exhibited superior tensile properties(98.39% of base metal strength with 31.50% elongation). It is attributed to the grain refinement in fusion zone microstructure leading to the evolution of finer, discrete laves phase in interdendritic areas.
文摘The recent aggrandizement of radio frequency(RF)signals in wireless power transmission combined with energy harvesting methods have led to the replacement of traditional battery-powered wireless networks since the blooming RF technology provides energy renewal of wireless devices with the quality of service(QoS).In addition,it does not require any unnecessary alterations on the transmission hardware side.A hybridized global optimization technique uniting Global best and Local best(GL)based particle swarm optimization(PSO)and ant colony optimization(ACO)is proposed in this paper to optimally allocate resources in wireless powered communication networks(WPCN)through coordinated operation of communication groups,in which the wireless energy transfer and information sharing take place concomitantly by the aid of a cooperative relay positioned in between the communicating groups. The designed algorithm assists in minimizing power consumption and maximizes the weighted sum rate at the end-user side. Thus the principal target of the system is coordinated optimization of energy beamforming along with time and energy allocation to reduce the total energy consumed combined with assured information rates of the communication groups.Numerical outputs are presented to manifest the proposed system’s performance to verify the analytical results via simulations.

文摘Among the various possibilities of limiting the disposal of fly ashes (lignite), their reutilization as adsorbent materials is worthy of consideration. The Langmuir isotherm model best represented the equilibrium data.
文摘This paper presents a low power tunable active inductor and RF band pass filter suitable for multiband RF front end circuits. The design of a third order band pass filter using an active inductor is also presented.
