The aim of the present study was to investigate the neuroprotective effects of Shenqi Fuzheng injection in cerebral ischemia and reperfusion. Aged rats(20–22 months) were divided into three groups: sham, model, and treatment. Shenqi Fuzheng injection or saline(40 m L/kg) was injected into the tail vein daily for 1 week, after which a cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury model was established. Compared with model rats that received saline, rats in the treatment group had smaller infarct volumes, lower brain water and malondialdehyde content, lower brain Ca2+ levels, lower activities of serum lactate dehydrogenase and creatine kinase, and higher superoxide dismutase activity. In addition, the treatment group showed less damage to the brain tissue ultrastructure and better neurological function. Our findings indicate that Shenqi Fuzheng injection exerts neuroprotective effects in aged rats with cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury, and that the underlying mechanism relies on oxygen free radical scavenging and inhibition of brain Ca2+ accumulation.展开更多

The change of ABA content showed a similar pattern between normal and mutant clones, but the ABA content of the mutant clone was always much higher than that of the normal clone. In the normal clone, the IAA content decreased significantly at the early stage of the period and reached its minimum during the first ten days of April and stabilized thereafter. The endogenous ZR levels increased sharply at the early stages and reached a maximum in the middle of April, then decreased dramatically. The IAA and ZR contents of the mutant clone did not change perceptively through the entire period. We conclude that the high levels of ABA and the deficit of IAA and ZR may be the reasons of female gametophyte abortion in the female-sterile clones of P. tabulaeformis.展开更多

The treatment of diabetic foot ulcer is difficult, greatly increasing the risk of amputation, which will seriously affect the quality of life of patients. Promoting the healing of ulcer in the early stage has become the guiding ideology for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer. Macrophages, as important immune cells, play a regulatory role throughout the healing process of diabetic foot ulcers. Therefore, we can provide a new direction for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers by deeply understanding the mechanism of macrophages and the healing of diabetic foot ulcers.展开更多
