目的:探究玻璃体腔注射康柏西普治疗弥漫性糖尿病性黄斑水肿(DDME)的眼表改变。方法:选取2019-01/06于我院眼科被诊断为DDME的患者20例,均为右眼发病,将右眼纳入试验组,左眼(未发生糖尿病性黄斑水肿)纳入对照组,试验组均行3次玻璃体腔...目的:探究玻璃体腔注射康柏西普治疗弥漫性糖尿病性黄斑水肿(DDME)的眼表改变。方法:选取2019-01/06于我院眼科被诊断为DDME的患者20例,均为右眼发病,将右眼纳入试验组,左眼(未发生糖尿病性黄斑水肿)纳入对照组,试验组均行3次玻璃体腔注射康柏西普,对照组不采取任何治疗操作。观察治疗前和3次治疗后第1d矫正视力、眼压、浅表点状上皮糜烂情况、泪河高度、眼表症状及体征(OSDI)评分、泪液分泌试验(SⅠt)及角膜荧光素染色(CSF)评分。结果:治疗前,两组眼压、泪河高度、OSDI评分、SⅠt、CSF评分均无差异(P>0.05),且两组均未出现浅表点状上皮糜烂情况,但对照组矫正视力显著优于试验组(0.50±0.20 vs 1.65±0.35,P<0.05)。治疗后,试验组矫正视力、泪河高度、SⅠt明显低于对照组,OSDI和CSF评分明显高于对照组(均P<0.05),眼压升高幅度较对照组更大,但两组无差异(P>0.05),而试验组19眼出现了浅表点状上皮糜烂情况。与治疗前比较,试验组治疗后矫正视力明显改善,泪河高度和SⅠt明显降低,OSDI和CSF评分明显升高(均P<0.05),但眼压无明显变化(P>0.05);对照组各观察指标均无明显变化(P>0.05)。结论:玻璃体腔注射康柏西普治疗弥漫性糖尿病性黄斑水肿会损伤眼表。展开更多

Studies comparing the effects of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) with conventional cardiopuhnonary res...Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) frequently occurs in cardiopulmonary resuscitation patients. Studies comparing the effects of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) with conventional cardiopuhnonary resuscitation (CCPR) on AKI were rare. This study aimed to compare the effects of ECMO with those of CCPR on survival rate and AKI and explore the underlying mechanisms in a swine model of cardiac arrest (CA). Methods: Sixteen male pigs were treated with ventricular fibrillation to establish CA model and then underwent CCPR (CCPR group, n = 8) or ECMO during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR group, n = 8). The study endpoints were 6 h after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) or death. Serum and urine samples were collected at baseline and during the 6 h after ROSC. The biomarkers of AKI were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The apoptosis of renal tubular epithelial cells was discovered by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase dUTP nick end labeling assay. Apoptosis-related genes were detected by immune-staining and Western blotting. Data were compared by Student's t-test. Results: All pigs in ECPR group were successfully resuscitated with a higher 6-h survival rate (8/8) compared to CCPR group (6/8). The expressions ofAKl biomarkers including neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL), tissue inhibitor ofmetalloproteinase2 (TIMP2), insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 7 (IGFBP7), liver fatty acid-binding protein (LFABP), and kidney injury molecule l (Kim-1) were all increased along with the time after ROSC in both groups and lower in ECPR group compared with CCPR group. Especially, products of urinary T1MP and IGFBP levels (TIMP*IGFBP) were significantly lower at ROSC4 (0.58 ± 0.10 ng^2/ml^2 vs. 1.18 ± 0.38 ng^2/ml^2, t = 4.33, P =0.003) and ROSC6 (1.79 ±0.45 ng2^/ml^2 vs. 3.00 ±0.44 ng^2/ml^2, t = 5.49, P 〈 0.001); urinary LFABP was significant展开更多
Aerosol ammonium(NH_(4)^(+)),mainly produced from the reactions of ammonia(NH_(3))with acids in the atmosphere,has significant impacts on air pollution,radiative forcing,and human health.Understanding the source and f...Aerosol ammonium(NH_(4)^(+)),mainly produced from the reactions of ammonia(NH_(3))with acids in the atmosphere,has significant impacts on air pollution,radiative forcing,and human health.Understanding the source and formation mechanism of NH_(4)^(+)can provide scientific insights into air quality improvements.However,the sources of NH_(3)in urban areas are not well understood,and few studies focus on NH_(3)/NH_(4)^(+)at different heights within the atmospheric boundary layer,which hinders a comprehensive understanding of aerosol NH_(4)^(+).In this study,we perform both field observation and modeling studies(the Community Multiscale Air Quality,CMAQ)to investigate regional NH_(3)emission sources and vertically resolved NH_(4)^(+)formation mechanisms during the winter in Beijing.Both stable nitrogen isotope analyses and CMAQ model suggest that combustion-related NH_(3)emissions,including fossil fuel sources,NH_(3)slip,and biomass burning,are important sources of aerosol NH_(4)^(+)with more than 60%contribution occurring on heavily polluted days.In contrast,volatilization-related NH_(3)sources(livestock breeding,N-fertilizer application,and human waste)are dominant on clean days.Combustion-related NH_(3)is mostly local from Beijing,and biomass burning is likely an important NH_(3)source(~15%–20%)that was previously overlooked.More effective control strategies such as the two-product(e.g.,reducing both SO_(2)and NH_(3))control policy should be considered to improve air quality.展开更多

These advantages make them widely applicable in the cosmetics industry, food industry, aerospace, and biomedicine, with significant potential in the development of new materials and high-performance products. The factors affecting the stability of gel-emulsions, as well as the types of stabilizers required for their preparation (including solid particles, surfactants, and small molecule gelators), and the corresponding preparation methods (including the one-step method, two-step method, and phase inversion method) are reviewed in this article. The applications of gel-emulsions in porous materials, food, cosmetics, and stimuli-responsive materials are introduced, and future research directions are also discussed.展开更多

Here, using a compilation o...The Indo-Pacific warm pool(IPWP) is crucial for regional and global climates. However, the development of the IPWP and its effect on the regional climate during the Cenozoic remain unclear. Here, using a compilation of sea surface temperature(SST) records(mainly since the middle Miocene) and multimodel paleoclimate simulations, our results indicated that the extent, intensity and warmest temperature position of the IPWP changed markedly during the Cenozoic. Specifically, its extent decreased, its intensity weakened, and its warmest temperature position shifted from the Indian to western Pacific Ocean over time. The atmospheric CO_(2) dominated its extent and intensity, while paleogeography, by restricting the distribution of the Indian Ocean and the width of the tropical seaways, controlled the shift in its warmest temperature position. In particular, the eastward shift to the western Pacific Ocean from the middle to late Miocene inferred from compiled SST records likely resulted from the constriction of tropical seaways. Furthermore, by changing the atmospheric thermal structure and atmospheric circulation,the reduced extent and intensity of the IPWP decreased the annual precipitation in the western Indian Ocean, eastern Asia and Australia, while the shift in the warmest temperature position from the Indian to western Pacific Ocean promoted aridification in Australia. Qualitative model-data agreements are obtained for both the IPWP SST and regional climate. From the perspective of past warm climates with high concentrations of atmospheric CO_(2), the expansion and strengthening of the IPWP will occur in a warmer future and favor excessive precipitation in eastern Asia and Australia.展开更多

The surface plasmon phonon polaritons...We conduct a theoretical analysis of the massive and tunable Goos–Hänchen(GH) shift on a polar crystal covered with periodical black phosphorus(BP)-patches in the THz range. The surface plasmon phonon polaritons(SPPPs), which are coupled by the surface phonon polaritons(SPh Ps) and surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs), can greatly increase GH shifts.Based on the in-plane anisotropy of BP, two typical metasurface models are designed and investigated. An enormous GH shift of about-7565.58 λ_(0) is achieved by adjusting the physical parameters of the BP-patches. In the designed metasurface structure, the maximum sensitivity accompanying large GH shifts can reach about 6.43 × 10^(8) λ_(0)/RIU, which is extremely sensitive to the size, carrier density, and layer number of BP. Compared with a traditional surface plasmon resonance sensor, the sensitivity is increased by at least two orders of magnitude. We believe that investigating metasurface-based SPPPs sensors could lead to high-sensitivity biochemical detection applications.展开更多
