The model constructs lumped differential equations associated with each DOFof the system by vector analysis. The coupled differential equations thus established are solved analytically for their responses in both the time and frequency domains. Considering these frequency response equations, novel device design concepts are derived by forcing the sense phase to zero, which leads to a certain relationship between the structural frequencies, thereby causing minimization of the damping effect on the performance of the system. Furthermore, the feasibility of the present gyro-accelerometer structure is studied using a unique discriminatory scheme for the detection of both gyro action and linear acceleration at their events. This scheme combines the formulated settled transient solution of the gyro-accelerometer with the processes of synchronous demodulation and filtration, which leads to the in-phase and quadrature components of the system's output signal. These two components can be utilized in the detection of angular motion and linear acceleration. The obtained analytical results are validated by simulation in a MATLAB/Simulink environment, and it is found that the results are in excellent agreement with each other.展开更多

With the help of generating solutions, we formed a basis for the existence of periodic orbits, then an analytical approach given by Hassan et al. For verification of the existence of periodic orbits, we have applied the criterion of Duboshin [2] and found satisfied.展开更多

文摘In the current context,a smart grid has replaced the conventional grid through intelligent energy management, integration of renewable energy sources(RES)and two-way communication infrastructures from power gen-eration to distribution.Energy management from the distribution side is a critical problem for balancing load demand.A unique energy manage-ment strategy(EMS)is being developed for office building equipment. That includes renewable energy integration, automation, and control based on the Artificial Neural Network(ANN)system using Matlab Simulink. This strategy reduces electric power consumption and balances the load demand of the traditional grid. This strategy is developed by taking inputs from an office building electricity consumption behavior study,a power generation study of a solar photovoltaic system, and the supply pattern of a grid in peak and non-peak hours. All this is done in consideration of the Indian scenario, where real-time data of month-wise ANN-based intelligent switching has been established for intermittent renewable sources and peak load reduction,as well as average load reduction, has been demonstrated along with the power control loop without the battery system.
文摘Data is humongous today because of the extensive use of World WideWeb, Social Media and Intelligent Systems. This data can be very important anduseful if it is harnessed carefully and correctly. Useful information can beextracted from this massive data using the Data Mining process. The informationextracted can be used to make vital decisions in various industries. Clustering is avery popular Data Mining method which divides the data points into differentgroups such that all similar data points form a part of the same group. Clusteringmethods are of various types. Many parameters and indexes exist for the evaluationand comparison of these methods. In this paper, we have compared partitioningbased methods K-Means, Fuzzy C-Means (FCM), Partitioning AroundMedoids (PAM) and Clustering Large Application (CLARA) on secure perturbeddata. Comparison and identification has been done for the method which performsbetter for analyzing the data perturbed using Extended NMF on the basis of thevalues of various indexes like Dunn Index, Silhouette Index, Xie-Beni Indexand Davies-Bouldin Index.
文摘BACKGROUND Understanding the transmission dynamics of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection among healthcare workers(HCWs)and their social contacts is crucial to plan appropriate risk-reduction measures.AIM To analyze the socio-demographic risk factors and transmission of SARS-CoV-2 infection among HCWs in two tertiary care hospitals in Dubai,United Arab Emirates.METHODS The demographic and clinical characteristics were available for all HCWs in both facilities from the human resources department.A cross-sectional survey was conducted from January-April 2022 among HCWs who tested positive through Reverse Transcriptase Polymerase Chain Reaction of the nasopharyngeal swab for SARS-CoV-2 between March 2020 and August 2021 in two tertiary-level hospitals. The survey included questions on demographics, work profile, characteristics of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),and infection among their household or co-workers.The survey also checked the knowledge and perception of participants on the infection prevention measures related to SARS-CoV-2.RESULTS Out of a total of 346 HCWs infected with SARS-CoV-2,286(82.7%)HCWs consented to participate in this study. From the sample population,150(52.5%)of participants were female, and a majority(230,80.4%)were frontline HCWs,including 121 nurses(121,42.4%).Only 48(16.8%)participants were fully vaccinated at the time of infection. Most infected HCWs(85%)were unaware of any unprotected exposure and were symptomatic at the time of testing(225,78.7%).Nearly half of the participants(140,49%)had co-infection among household, and nearly one-third(29.5%)had coinfection among three or more household.Another 108(37.8%)participants reported crossinfection among co-workers.The frontline HCWs were significantly more infected(25.1%vs 8.6%,P<0.001)compared to non-frontline HCWs.Another significant risk factor for a high infection rate was male sex(P<0.001).Among the infected frontline HCWs,a significantly higher proportion were male and shared accommodation with family
文摘The effect of resonance on the motion of two cylindrical rigid bodies has been studied in the light of Bhatnagar [1] [2] [3] and under some defined axiomatic restrictions. Here we have calculated variation in Eulerian angles due to resonance in terms of orbital elements and unperturbed Eulerian angles.
文摘BACKGROUND:In a tertiary care institute of northern India, the emergency department receives an average of 6-7 patients with poly trauma every day.Of these patients, some come directly and many are referred from other hospitals from the region.Various problems are faced in the management of patients with poly trauma. This study aimed to elicit various complaints, suggestions and possible solutions in the management of patients with poly trauma.METHODS:A retrospective cross sectional study was done on 210 patients in the emergency OPD for a period of 2 months. All the records of the patients with poly trauma were studied and the problems during their management were measured against 6 predetermined steps(step Ⅰ to step Ⅵ).RESULTS:In the younger generation, males were predominantly the primary victims of poly trauma injury, and road traffic accident was the major etiological factor.Injuries involving more than2 specialties induced many problems during the management of patients with poly trauma.Of 210 patients we studied,32 patients had problems at various steps and maximum problems in step Ⅲ,i.e.co-ordination between various specialties in the management of patients with poly trauma.CONCLUSION:A proper poly trauma management team and a well defined standard operative procedure are the keys to effective management of patients with poly trauma by minimizing the problems encountered.

文摘Heterogeneous Wireless Network is currently a major area of focus in communication engineering. But the important issue in recent communication is the approachability to the wireless networks while maintaining the quality of service.Today, all the wireless access networks are working in tandem to keep the users always connected to the internet cloud that matches the price affordability and performance goals. In order to achieve seamless connectivity, due consideration has to be given to handoff precision and a smaller number of handoffs.Several researchers have used heuristic approaches to solve this issue. In the present work,a hybrid intelligent algorithm has been suggested for vertical handoff decisions. This hybrid intelligent algorithm is based on dual optimization approach which uses“Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)”and“Mobile Robustness Optimization(MRO)”techniques for improving the quality of services. This approach performs well even in the failure network conditions and gives the best results in terms of connectivity. The results at the last has been compared with the conventional techniques and it has been observed that the proposed methodology outperforms the existing one.
文摘A new analytical model of a 3-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) gyro-accelerometer system consisting of a 1-DOF drive and 2-DOF sense modes is presented. The obtained analytical results are validated by simulation in a MATLAB/Simulink environment, and it is found that the results are in excellent agreement with each other.

文摘CZTS(copper zinc tin sulfide),Cu_(2)ZnSnS_(4),is a potential demanding candidate that is used as absorber layer in solar cell. The CZTS,Fe^(3+)doped CZTS and CFTS(replacing Zn be Fe^(3+))thin films were deposited on a glass substrate using spin coating technique. The structural and optical properties of all the thin films were studied to investigate the effect of iron doping in CZTS.The XRD(X-ray diffraction)results show that all the thin films grow tetragonal crystal system. The crystallite size of the doped CZTS was higher than the pristine CZTS although it was lowest for CFTS.The optical band gaps varied from 1.45 eV and 1.83 eV which are suitable for absorbing sunlight.
文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic was triggered by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),a previously unknown strain of coronavirus. To fully understand the consequences and complications of SARS-CoV-2 infections,we have reviewed current literature on coagulation dysfunctions that are related to the disease and vaccination. While COVID-19 is more commonly considered as a respiratory illness, studies indicate that,in addition to respiratory illness,a coagulation dysfunction may develop in individuals after the initial infection, placing them at the risk of developing thrombotic events.Patients who died of COVID-19 had higher levels of D-dimer,a biomarker for blood clot formation and breakdown.Effective treatments for coagulation dysfunctions are critically needed to improve patient survival. On the other hand, antibodies against platelet factor 4(PF4)/heparin may be found in patients with rare instances of vaccine-induced immunological thrombotic thrombocytopenia(VITT)following vaccination with adenovirus-based vaccines.VITT is characterized by atypical thrombosis and thrombocytopenia, similar to immune-mediated heparin-induced thrombocytopenia(HIT),but with no need for heparin to trigger the immune response.Although both adenovirus-based and mRNA-based vaccines express the Spike protein of SARS-CoV-2,VITT is exclusively related to adenovirus-based vaccines.Due to the resemblance with HIT,the use of heparin is highly discouraged against treating patients with thrombotic thrombocytopenia after SARS-CoV-2 infection or with VITT after vaccination.Intravenous immunoglobulin therapy coupled with anticoagulation is recommended instead. The well-studied anti-PF4 monoclonal antibody RTO,which does not induce pathologic immune complexes in the presence of heparin and has been humanized for a potential treatment modality for HIT,may provide a nonanticoagulant HIT-specific solution to the problem of increased blood coagulation after SARS-CoV-2 infection or the VITT after immunization.
文摘Cosmetics that are personal or personalized are now becoming extremely prevalent. While compliance is mandated by European Union(EU)Cosmetics Directive 1223/2009,there seem to be no strict guidelines for maintaining obedience.Cosmetics must meet a number of conditions in order to be sold in the European Single Market;however, the focus of this article is on the Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009.Regulations are examined for certain elements and several solutions are presented that allow for careful use of individually cloaked cosmetics that are available on the market.Metallic nanoparticles(NMs)have been proposed for usage as active ingredients/excipient in a number of cosmetics products.Due to fast-paced businesses in the cosmetic industry, cosmetology tends to focus on its distinctive characteristics to bring value to a diverse array of products, but due to the small size of nanometers,NMs may not always follow the very same handling guidelines as their conventional material. As a result,a nano-specific framework for regulating the use of nanomaterials&creation of nano-improved cosmetics is becoming increasingly prevalent.Scientific and industrial perspective into the NMs presently used for the m arketplace, with an emphasis on metallic NMs,and also an evaluation of the regulatory requirements and Scientific Commission on Consumer Safety(SCCS)Opinions.Considering the fact that the original Cosmetic products Directive(EU Legislation No 1223/2009)has precise restrictions on NMs,beauty materials containing unlawful NMs have already been supplied in the EU on numerous times.Researchers examine the risk evaluation indicated in Article 16 of the Cosmetology Code acts as a framework for the potential expansion to enhance nano-items,considering the long-term risks of nanomaterials if mistreated. The nation’s attention is on synchronizing efforts to integrate metallic NMs into cosmetic products but to the restricted fusion of metallic NMs with numerous non-metallic n anoparticles.Although Directive 76/768/EEC on the beauty items
文摘Progranulin(PGRN)has recently emerged as a key player in a subset of frontotemporal dementias(FTD).Numerous mutations in the progranulin gene have been identified in patients with familial or sporadic frontotemporal lobar degeneration(FTLD).In order to understand the molecular mechanisms by which PGRN deficiency leads to FTLD,we examined activity of PGRN in mouse cortical and hippocampal neurons and in human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cells.Treatment of mouse neurons with PGRN protein resulted in an increase in neurite outgrowth, supporting the role of PGRN as a neurotrophic factor.PGRN treatment stimulated phosphorylation of glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta(GSK-3β)in cultured neurons.Knockdown of PGRN in SH-SY5Y cells impaired retinoic acid induced differentiation and reduced the level of phosphorylated GSK-3β.PGRN knockdown cells were also more sensitized to staurosporineinduced apoptosis. These results reveal an important role of PGRN in neurite outgrowth and involvement of GSK-3βin mediating PGRN activity.Identification of GSK-3βactivation as a downstream event for PGRN signaling provides a mechanistic explanation for PGRN activity in the nervous system. Our work also suggest that loss of axonal growth stimulation during neural injury repair or deficits in axonal repair may contribute to neuronal damage or axonal loss in FTLD associated with PGRN mutations. Finally, our study suggests that modulating GSK-3βor similar signaling events may provide therapeutic benefits for FTLD cases associated with PGRN mutations.
文摘The present study deals with Bianchi type-IX string cosmological models for perfect fluid distribution. We consider two cases: (i) ρ + λ = 0, (ii) ρ - λ = 0, where ρ and λ are the rest energy density and the tension density of a string cloud, respectively. The physical and geometrical properties of the models are discussed.
文摘The present paper deals with the existence of periodic orbits in the Circular Restricted Four-Body Problem (CR4BP) in two-dimensional co-ordinate system when the second primary is a triaxial rigid body and the third primary of inferior mass (in comparison of the other primaries) is placed at triangular libration point L4 of the Circular Restricted Three-Body Problem (CR3BP). With the help of generating solutions, we formed a basis for the existence of periodic orbits, then an analytical approach given by Hassan et al. [1], was applied to our model of equilateral triangular configuration. It is found that in general solution also;the character of periodic orbits is conserved. For verification of the existence of periodic orbits, we have applied the criterion of Duboshin [2] and found satisfied.
