海南农民稻田生物多样性保护认知评价及农药使用情况分析 被引量:4

长期以来农药的不合理利用已经引发了环境污染、食品安全等一系列问题,探索减少农药投入的生产模式,构建稻田生物多样性生态控制病虫害的水稻生产模式已经成为稻田可持续发展的重要手段之一。为了更好地开展海南稻田生物多样性保护、发... 长期以来农药的不合理利用已经引发了环境污染、食品安全等一系列问题,探索减少农药投入的生产模式,构建稻田生物多样性生态控制病虫害的水稻生产模式已经成为稻田可持续发展的重要手段之一。为了更好地开展海南稻田生物多样性保护、发挥稻田生态系统服务功能,有必要系统全面地了解农民对稻田生物多样性保护认知及农药使用情况,我们在海南北部和南部分别开展了调查。结果显示,调查区大部分稻农对稻田生物多样性概念不了解,相关知识掌握较少,且仅有极少数农民接受过相关的多样性种植培训或者指导。在农药使用上,存在过量使用、盲目使用和跟风使用等一系列不科学问题,直接导致海南稻田生态系统遭到破坏,种植成本骤增,稻农净收益降低。通过分析,就海南水稻生产中的农药使用问题提出了意见和建议。 展开更多

The present review article focuses on different technological strategies and nutritional perspectives having added advantage to human health in fortifying vegetables matrices with iron.An introduction to the main aspects related to iron deficiency consequences is resumed in order to understand the importance of developing new strategies for improving iron intake.In this sense,the tendencies and alternatives will also be discussed.Emerging technologies like impregnation or dry infusion are presented as sustainable options for obtaining structured fortified vegetables.A review about the usefulness of edible covers for stabilizing micronutrients and/or probiotic microorganisms in fortified matrices is also analysed.Since iron deficiency still continue to be a worldwide health issue,innovating in food fortification remains a challenge for researchers and food manufactures. 展开更多

N-formyl peptide receptors(FPRs)were first identified upon phagocytic leukocytes,but more than four decades of research has unearthed a plethora of non-myeloid roles for this receptor family.FPRs are expressed within neuronal tissues and markedly in the central nervous system,where FPR interactions with endogenous ligands have been implicated in the pathophysiology of several neurodegenerative diseases including Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease,as well as neurological cancers such as neuroblastoma.Whilst the homeostatic function of FPRs in the nervous system is currently undefined,a variety of novel physiological roles for this receptor family in the neuronal context have been posited in both human and animal settings.Rapid developments in recent years have implicated FPRs in the process of neurogenesis and neuronal differentiation which,upon greater characterisation,could represent a novel pharmacological target for neuronal regeneration therapies that may be used in the treatment of brain/spinal cord injury,stroke and neurodegeneration.This review aims to summarize the recent progress made to determine the physiological role of FPRs in a neuronal setting,and to put forward a case for FPRs as a novel pharmacological target for conditions of the nervous system,and for their potential to open the door to novel neuronal regeneration therapies. 展开更多

Sirtuin 3(SIRT3)is a deacetylase that modulates proteins that control metabolism and protects against oxidative stress.Modulation of SIRT3 activity has been proposed as a promising therapeutic target for ameliorating metabolic diseases and associated cardiac disturbances.In this study,we investigated the role of SIRT3 in inflammation and fibrosis in the heart using male mice with constitutive and systemic deletion of SIRT3 and human cardiac AC16 cells.SIRT3 knockout mice showed cardiac fibrosis and inflammation that was characterized by augmented transcriptional activity of AP-1.Consistent with this,SIRT3 overexpression in human and neonatal rat cardiomyocytes partially prevented the inflammatory and profibrotic response induced by TNF-α.Notably,these effects were associated with a decrease in the mRNA and protein levels of FOS and the DNA-binding activity of AP-1.Finally,we demonstrated that SIRT3 inhibits FOS transcription through specific histone H3 lysine K27 deacetylation at its promoter.These findings highlight an important function of SIRT3 in mediating the often intricate profibrotic and proinflammatory responses of cardiac cells through the modulation of the FOS/AP-1 pathway.Since fibrosis and inflammation are crucial in the progression of cardiac hypertrophy,heart failure,and diabetic cardiomyopathy,our results point to SIRT3 as a potential target for treating these diseases. 展开更多

The Burden of Hospitalisations for Herpes Zoster Ophtalmicus in Spain (1997-2008)

Purpose: This epidemiological retrospective survey aims to provide population-based estimates of the burden of hospitalisation for herpes zoster ophthalmicus in Spain during a twelve-year period (1997-2008). Methods: All hospital discharges and deaths related to herpes zoster ophthalmicus in patients older than 30 years old from 1997 to 2008 in Spain were obtained. Differences in proportions were assessed by the Chi-square test. ANOVA was used for multiple comparisons. Poisson regression was used to assess differences in the rates. Results: A total of 3029 hospital discharges in patients older than 30 years old were coded as herpes zoster ophthalmicus. Of those, 1009 were coded as primary cause of hospitalization. This corresponds to a hospitalization rate of 0.94 and 0.31 hospitalizations per 100,000 for any position and first diagnostic position, respectively. The 75% of the total discharges were in immunocompetent patients. The herpes zoster ophthalmicus hospitalization rate increased significantly during the study period. This increase was also observed for immunocompetent patients. A total of 127 and 21 deaths occurred in patients ≥ 30 year-old hospitalized with herpes zoster ophthalmicus in any diagnostic position and principal diagnostic code, respectively during the 12-year study period. Of them, 70 (53.4%) were in immunocompetent patients, and, of those 11 were in patients with HZO in the first diagnosis position. The hospitalization rate and case-fatality rate increase significantly with age from 50 years old onwards. Conclusion: HZO, a vaccine preventable disease, still causes hospitalization and death in adults in Spain. 展开更多
