Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries are recently gaining incremental attention because of low cost and material abundance, but their development is plagued by limited choice of cathode materials with satisfactory cycling performance. Here, we report a porous V2O5 nanofibers cathode with high Znstorage performance in an aqueous Zn(CF3SO3)2 electrolyte. We propose a reaction mechanism based on phase transition from orthorhombic V2O5 to zinc pyrovanadate on first discharging and reversible Zn^2+ (de)intercalation in the open-structured hosts during subsequent cycling. This open and stable architecture enables a high reversible capacity of 319 mAh g^-1 at 20 mAg^-1 and a capacity retention of 81% over 500 cycles. The remarkable electrochemical performance makes V2O5 a promising cathode for aqueous zinc-ion batteries. 展开更多

Silicon is the most promising anode material for the next generation high- performance lithium ion batteries. However, its commercial application is hindered by its poor performance due to the huge volume change during cycling. Although two-dimensional silicon-based materials show significantly improved performance, flexible synthesis of such materials is still a challenge. In this work, silicon-based nanosheets with a multilayer structure are synthesized for the first time by a topochemical reaction. The morphology and oxidation state of these nanosheets can be controlled by appropriate choice of reaction media and oxidants. Benefiting from the hierarchical structure and ultrathin size, when the silicon-based nanosheets are employed as anodes they exhibit a charge (delithiation) capacity of 800 mAh/g after 50 cycles with a maximum coulombic efficiency of 99.4% and good rate performance (647 mAh/g at 1 A/g). This work demonstrates a novel method for preparing nanosheets not only for lithium ion batteries but also having various potential applications in other fields, such as catalysts, electronics and photonics. 展开更多

Rockburst is a typical rock failure which frequently threatens both human life and construction equipment during highly stressed underground excavation.Rock lithology is a control factor of rockburst.In this paper,rockburst tests were conducted on rectangular prismatic specimens of six types of intact hard brittle rocks,i.e.granodiorite,granite,marble,basalt,sandstone and limestone,under one-free-face true triaxial loading conditions.With the use of high-speed cameras,an acoustic emission(AE)system and a scanning electron microscope(SEM),rockburst of different rocks was investigated.The results show that the strainbursts of granodiorite,granite and marble were accompanied by tensile splitting near the free face,and consequently were relatively strong with a large amount of fragment ejection and kinetic energy release.For basalt,sandstone and limestone,failure was primarily dominated by shear rupture.The strainbursts of basalt and sandstone were relatively small with minor fragment ejection and kinetic energy release;while no burst failure occurred on limestone due to its relatively low peak strength.Rock strength,fracturing and fragmentation characteristics,and failure modes of different rocks can significantly affect rockburst proneness and magnitude.The AE evolution coupled with SEM analysis reveals that the differences in the inhe rent microstructures and fracture evolution under loading are the primary factors accounting for different rockbursts in various rock types. 展开更多

Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)based on metallic Li exhibit high energy density to be competent for advanced energy storage applications.However,the unstable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)layer due to continuous decomposition of electrolytes,and the attendant problem of Li dendrite growth frustrate their commercialization process.Herein,a hybrid SEI comprising abundant LiF,lithiophilic Li-Ge alloy,and Ge nanoparticles is constructed via a simple brush coating method.This fluorinated interface layer with embedded Ge-containing components isolates the Li anode from the corrosive electrolyte and facilitates homogenous Li nucleation as well as uniform growth.Consequently,the modified Li anode exhibits remarkable stability without notorious Li dendrites,delivering stable cycling lives of more than 1000 h for symmetric Li||Li cells and over 600 cycles for Li||Cu cells at 1 mA·cm^(−2).Moreover,the reinforced Li anodes endow multiple full-cell architectures with dramatically improved cyclability under different test conditions.This work provides rational guidance to design an artificial hybrid SEI layer and would stimulate more ideas to solve the dendrite issue and promote the further development of advanced LMBs. 展开更多

Edible plant derived exosome-like nanoparticles(ELNs)have been shown to have multiple nutraceutical functions.However,the diversity of plant materials makes the plant derived ELN study challenging.More efforts are still needed to explore the feasible isolation methods of edible plant derived ELNs and the possible roles of food-derived ELNs in improving human health.In this study,a size exclusion chromatography based method was compared with the traditional ultracentrifugation method to isolate blueberry derived ELNs(B-ELNs),and the miRNA profile of B-ELNs was analyzed by high-throughput sequencing.A total of 36 miRNAs were found to be enriched in B-ELNs compared with berry tissue,and their potential cross-kingdom human gene targets were further predicted.Results showed that size exclusion chromatography was effective for B-ELN isolation.The most abundant miRNAs in B-ELNs mainly belonged to the miR166 family and miR396 family.Target gene prediction indicated that B-ELNs could potentially regulate pathways related to the human digestive system,immune system and infectious diseases. 展开更多

Effect of CO_(2) Opposing Multiple Jets on Thermoacoustic Instability and NO_(x) Emissions in a Lean-Premixed Model Combustor

This paper experimentally studied the effect of CO_(2) opposing multiple jets on the thermoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions in a lean-premixed model combustor.The feasibility was verified from three variables:the CO_(2) jet flow rate,hole numbers,and hole diameters of the nozzles.Results indicate that the control effect of thermoacoustic instability and NO_x emissions show a reverse trend with the increase of open area ratio on the whole,and the optimal jet flow rate range is 1-4 L/min with CO_(2) opposing multiple jets.In this flow rate range,the amplitude and frequency of the dynamic pressure and heat release signals CH~* basically decrease as the CO_(2) flow rate increases,which avoids high-frequency and high-amplitude thermoacoustic instability.The amplitude-damped ratio of dynamic pressure and CH*can reach as high as 98.75% and 93.64% with an optimal open area ratio of 3.72%.NO_(x) emissions also decrease as the jet flow rate increases,and the maximum suppression ratio can reach 68.14%.Besides,the flame shape changes from a steep inverted "V" to a more flat "M",and the flame length will become shorter with CO_(2) opposing multiple jets.This research achieved the synchronous control of thermoacoustic instability and NO_(x) emissions,which could be a design reference for constructing a safer and cleaner combustor. 展开更多

High energy density in ultra-thick and flexible electrodes enabled by designed conductive agent/binder composite

Thick electrodes can increase incorporation of active electrode materials by diminishing the proportion of inactive constituents,improving the overall energy density of batteries.However,thick electrodes fabricated using the conventional slurry casting approach frequently exhibit an exacerbated accumulation of carbon additives and binders on their surfaces,invariably leading to compromised electrochemical properties.In this study,we introduce a designed conductive agent/binder composite synthesized from carbon nanotube and polytetrafluoroethylene.This agent/binder composite facilitates production of dry-process-prepared ultra-thick electrodes endowed with a three-dimensional and uniformly distributed percolative architecture,ensuring superior electronic conductivity and remarkable mechanical resilience.Using this approach,ultra-thick LiCoO_(2)(LCO) electrodes demonstrated superior cycling performance and rate capabilities,registering an impressive loading capacity of up to 101.4 mg/cm^(2),signifying a 242% increase in battery energy density.In another analytical endeavor,time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy was used to clarify the distribution of cathode electrolyte interphase(CEI) in cycled LCO electrodes.The results provide unprecedented evidence explaining the intricate correlation between CEI generation and carbon distribution,highlighting the intrinsic advantages of the proposed dry-process approach in fine-tu ning the CEI,with excellent cycling performance in batteries equipped with ultra-thick electrodes. 展开更多

Swirl combustion serves as a helpful flame stabilization method,which also affects the combustion and emission characteristics.This article experimentally investigated the effects of CO_(2)microjets on combustion instability and NO_(x)emissions in lean premixed flames with different swirl numbers.The microjets’control feasibility was examined from three variables of CO_(2)jet flow rate,thermal power,and swirl angles.Results indicate that microjets can mitigate the combustion instability and NO_(x)emissions in lean premixed burners with different swirl numbers and thermal power.Still,the damping effect of microjets in low swirl intensity is better than that in high swirl intensity.The damping ratio of pressure amplitude can reach the maximum of 98%,and NO_(x)emissions can realize the maximum reduction of 10.1×10^(−6)at the swirl angle of 30°.Besides,the flame macrostructure switches from an inverted cone shape to a petal shape,and the flame length reduction at low swirl intensity is higher than that of high swirl intensity.This research clarified the control differences of mitigation of combustion instability and NO_(x)emissions by microjets in lean premixed flames with different swirl numbers,contributing to the optimization of microjets control and the construction of high-performance burners. 展开更多

The cycling stability of SnO_(2)anode as lithium-ion battery is poor due to volume expansion.Polyimide coatings can effectively confine the expansion of SnO_(2).However,linear polyimides are easily dissolved in ester electrolytes and their carbonyls is not fully utilized during charging/discharging process.Herein,the SnO_(2)enclosed with anthraquinone-based polyimide/reduced graphene oxide composite was prepared by self-assembly.Carbonyls from the anthraquinone unit provide fully available active sites to react with Li^(+),improving the utilization of carbonyl in the polyimide.More exposed carbonyl active sites promote the conversion of Sn to SnO_(2)with electrode gradual activation,leading to an increase in reversible capacity during the charge/discharge cycle.In addition,the introduction of reduced graphene oxide cannot only improve the stability of polyimide in the electrolyte,but also build fast ion and electron transport channels for composite electrodes.Due to the multiple effects of anthraquinone-based polyimide and the synergistic effect of reducing graphene oxide,the composite anode exhibits a maximum reversible capacity of 1266 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.25 A·g^(−1),and maintains an excellent specific capacity of 983 mAh·g^(−1) after 200 cycles.This work provides a new strategy for the synergistic modification of SnO_(2). 展开更多

This paper depicts the distribution of the Wushenqi paleo-uplift in the Ordos Basin by using the latest drilling and seismic data, and analyzes the tectonic evolution of the paleo-uplift with the support of Bischke curve and balanced section. The compressional Wushenqi paleo-uplift which developed in the Early Caledonian orogeny(Huaiyuan orogeny) is approximately a ellipse extending in S-N direction. Its long axis is about 194 km and short axis is about 55-94 km in nearly W-E direction. The denudation thickness and area of the Cambrian in the core are 170-196 m and 11 298 km^(2), respectively. It was mainly formed during the Huaiyuan orogeny according to the chronostratigraphic framework. It was in the embryonic stage in the Middle-Late Cambrian, denuded after developed obviously at the end of Late Cambrian. The paleo-uplift of the 3rd member of the Ordovician Majiagou Formation was reactivated and reduced in area. In the sedimentary period of the Ma 4 Member-pre-Carboniferous, the paleo-uplift experienced non-uniform uplift and denudation. It entered the stable period of burial and preservation in the Carboniferous and later period. The Wushenqi paleo-uplift was formed on the weak area of the basement and tectonic belts, into an compressional structure with irregular morphology, under the control of the non-coaxial compression in the south and north and the stress transmitted by the uplift in the basin. The Wushenqi paleo-uplift has a controlling effect on the sedimentary reservoirs and hydrocarbon accumulation. 展开更多

Redox p-type organic compounds are promising cathode materials for dual-ion batteries.However,the triphenylamine-based polymers usually with agglomerate and intertwined molecular chain nature limit the maximum reaction of their active sites with large-sized anions.Herein,we demonstrate the application of a small molecule with rigid spirofluorene structu re,namely 2,2’,7,7’-tetrakis(diphenylamine)-9,9’-spirobifluorene(Spiro-TAD),as a cathode material for lithium dual-ion batteries.The inherent sterical structure endows the Spiro-TAD with good chemical stability and large internal space for fast diffusion kinetics of anions in the organic electrolyte.As a result,the Spiro-TAD electrode shows significant insolubility and less steric hindrance,and gives a high actual capacity of 109 mA h g^(-1)(active groups utilization ratio approximately 100%) at 50 mA g^(-1)with a high discharge voltage of 3.6 V(vs.Li+/Li),excellent rate capability(60 mA h g^(-1)at 2000 mA g^(-1)) and extremely stable cycling life(98.4% capacity retention after 1400 cycles at 500 mA g^(-1)) in half cells.Such good electrochemical performance is attributed to the robust and rapid adsorption/desorption of ClO4-anions,which can be proved by the in-situ FTIR and XPS.Moreover,an all-organic lithium dual-ion battery(a-OLDIBs) is constructed using the Spiro-TAD as cathode and 3,4,9,10-Perylenetetracarboxylic diimide(PTCDI) as anode and displays long-term cycling performance of 87.5 mA h g^(-1)after 800 cycles.This study will stimulate further developments in designing all organic battery systems. 展开更多

We consider the two-point,two-time(space-time)correlation of passive scalar R(r,τ)in the Kraichnan model under the assumption of homogeneity and isotropy.Using the fine-gird PDF method,we find that R(r,τ)satisfies a diffusion equation with constant diffusion coefficient determined by velocity variance and molecular diffusion.Itssolution can be expressed in terms of the two-point,one time correlation of passive scalar,i.e.,R(r,0).Moreover,the decorrelation o R(k,τ),which is the Fourier transform of R(r,τ),is determined byR(k,0)and a diffusion kernal. 展开更多

Gas reservoir development of the Ordovician weathering crust in the Ordos Basin is closely controlled by the pre-Carboniferous paleogeomorphy.Previous studies show that the paleogeomorphy is high in the west and low in the east,and the karst highland,karst slope and karst basin are developed from west to east.With further exploration in recent years,many karst breccia that represent strong karstification,are found in the east area which previously is considered to be the Ordovician karst basin.Thus,it is necessary to revaluate controlling factors of karst paleogeomorphy development from a viewpoint of the dynamic paleogeomorphy evolution,to investigate the paleogeomorphy evolution of the Ordovician weathering crust in geological history and guide further research and prediction of development law of reservoir spaces.In order to reconstruct the paleogeomorphy of the weathering crust in the top of Ordovician in the east Ordos Basin,paleogeography,thickness of residual strata and paleokarst characteristics are well studied.The result shows that a wide range of paleokarst highland occurred in the central to east part of Ordos Basin in the early period,and the karst reservoir spaces were formed;but in the late period,the east part of the basin gradually evolved into the paleokarst basin,the current pre-Carboniferous paleogeomorphy was thus formed,and the dissolution reservoir spaces formed in the early period were mostly filled,accordingly the reservoirs were tight.However fracture networks formed by cave collapse connect intercrystalline pores of dolomite,therefore,the reservoirs can still be well preserved locally and are worthy targets for hydrocarbon exploration. 展开更多

An adsorbent with good adsorption perform-ance for binding low density lipoprotein (LDL) was synthe-sized through a simple preparation procedure. The phase-inversion technique was employed to form macropor-ous chitosan beads, which were then simultaneously acti-vated, cross-linked and connected with a long spacer arm via the reaction with ethyleneglycol diglycidylether (EGDE). Tryptophan (Trp) was subsequently coupled to the ep-oxy-activated beads. This adsorbent demonstrated satisfac-tory adsorption capacity and selectivity for LDL, and it also exhibited excellent blood compatibility. The effect of spacer arms with different length on the adsorption selectivity was investigated experimentally, and the mechanism was ana-lyzed. 展开更多

针对塔里木河流域脆弱的生态环境,该文采用地理信息系统、遥感技术手段提取2000年、2006年、2009年、2012年以及2014年塔里木河流域地表覆盖分类数据并对其变化特征进行分析。结果表明:2000—2014年塔里木河流域除水域、荒漠与裸露地表... 针对塔里木河流域脆弱的生态环境,该文采用地理信息系统、遥感技术手段提取2000年、2006年、2009年、2012年以及2014年塔里木河流域地表覆盖分类数据并对其变化特征进行分析。结果表明:2000—2014年塔里木河流域除水域、荒漠与裸露地表面积减少外,其余地表类型均呈增加趋势,其中变化量最大的为荒漠与裸露地表、冰川与积雪、耕地、草地,其变化量分别为-34 558.1km^2、14 351.15km^2、6 471.79km^2、6 383.94km^2。2000—2014年塔里木河流域荒漠与裸露地表面积减小,主要转变为了草地、林地与耕地;耕地面积增加主要来自于林地、草地、荒漠与裸露地表;冰川和积雪的面积增加主要增加来源为林地、草地和荒漠与裸露地表。 展开更多
