Background:Cancer is one of the leading causes of death globally,but its burden is not uniform.GLOBOCAN 2020 has newly updated the estimates of cancer burden.This study summarizes the most recent changing profiles of cancer burden worldwide and in China and compares the cancer data of China with those of other regions.Methods:We conducted a descriptive secondary analysis of the GLOBOCAN 2020 data.To depict the changing global profile of the leading cancer types in 2020 compared with 2018,we extracted the numbers of cases and deaths in 2018 from GLOBOCAN 2018.We also obtained cancer incidence and mortality from the 2015 National Cancer Registry Report in China when sorting the leading cancer types by new cases and deaths.For the leading cancer types according to sex in China,we summarized the estimated numbers of incidence and mortality,and calculated China’s percentage of the global new cases and deaths.Results:Breast cancer displaced lung cancer to become the most leading diagnosed cancer worldwide in 2020.Lung,liver,stomach,breast,and colon cancers were the top five leading causes of cancer-related death,among which liver cancer changed from the third-highest cancer mortality in 2018 to the second-highest in 2020.China accounted for 24%of newly diagnosed cases and 30%of the cancer-related deaths worldwide in 2020.Among the 185 countries included in the database,China’s age-standardized incidence rate(204.8 per 100,000)ranked 65th and the age-standardized mortality rate(129.4 per 100,000)ranked 13th.The two rates were above the global average.Lung cancer remained the most common cancer type and the leading cause of cancer death in China.However,breast cancer became the most frequent cancer type among women if the incidence was stratified by sex.Incidences of colorectal cancer and breast cancer increased rapidly.The leading causes of cancer death varied minimally in ranking from 2015 to 2020 in China.Gastrointestinal cancers,including stomach,colorectal,liver,and esophageal cancers,contributed to a massive bu 展开更多

China faces the greatest challenge from stroke in the world.The death rate for cerebrovascular diseases in China was 149.49 per 100000,accounting for 1.57 million deaths in 2018.It ranked third among the leading causes of death behind malignant tumours and heart disease.The age-standardised prevalence and incidence of stroke in 2013 were 1114.8 per 100000 population and 246.8 per 100000 person-years,respectively.According to the Global Burden of Disease Study 2017,the years of life lost(YLLs)per 100000 population for stroke increased by 14.6%;YLLs due to stroke rose from third highest among all causes in 1990 to the highest in 2017.The absolute numbers and rates per 100000 population for all-age disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for stroke increased substantially between 1990 and 2017,and stroke was the leading cause of all-age DALYs in 2017.The main contributors to cerebrovascular diseases include behavioural risk factors(smoking and alcohol use)and pre-existing conditions(hypertension,diabetes mellitus,dyslipidaemia and atrial fibrillation(AF)).The most prevalent risk factors among stroke survivors were hypertension(63.0%-84.2%)and smoking(31.7%-47.6%).The least prevalent was AF(2.7%-7.4%).The prevalences for major risk factors for stroke are high and most have increased over time.Based on the latest national epidemiological data,26.6%of adults aged≥15 years(307.6 million adults)smoked tobacco products.For those aged≥18 years,age-adjusted prevalence of hypertension was 25.2%;adjusted prevalence of hypercholesterolaemia was 5.8%;and the standardised prevalence of diabetes was 10.9%.For those aged≥40 years,the standardised prevalence of AF was 2.31%.Data from the Hospital Quality Monitoring System showed that 3010204 inpatients with stroke were admitted to 1853 tertiary care hospitals during 2018.Of those,2466785(81.9%)were ischaemic strokes(ISs);447609(14.9%)were intracerebral haemorrhages(ICHs);and 95810(3.2%)were subarachnoid haemorrhages(SAHs).The average age of patients admitted was 66 years old,and 展开更多

Considering the difficulty of fuzzy synthetic evaluation method in calculation of the multiple factors and ignorance of the relationship among evaluating objects, a new weight evaluation process using entropy method was introduced. This improved method for determination of weight of the evaluating indicators was applied in water quality assessment of the Three Gorges reservoir area. The results showed that this method was favorable for fuzzy synthetic evaluation when there were more than one evaluating objects. One calculation was enough for calculating every monitoring point. Compared with the original evaluation method, the method predigested the fuzzy synthetic evaluation process greatly and the evaluation results are more reasonable. 展开更多

In December 2019, a new type viral pneumonia cases occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province;and then named "2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)" by the World Health Organization(WHO) on 12 January 2020. For it is a never been experienced respiratory disease before and with infection ability widely and quickly, it attracted the world’s attention but without treatment and control manual. For the request from frontline clinicians and public health professionals of 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia management, an evidence-based guideline urgently needs to be developed. Therefore, we drafted this guideline according to the rapid advice guidelines methodology and general rules of WHO guideline development;we also added the first-hand management data of Zhongnan Hospital of Wuhan University. This guideline includes the guideline methodology, epidemiological characteristics, disease screening and population prevention, diagnosis, treatment and control(including traditional Chinese Medicine), nosocomial infection prevention and control, and disease nursing of the 2019-nCoV. Moreover, we also provide a whole process of a successful treatment case of the severe 2019-nCoV infected pneumonia and experience and lessons of hospital rescue for 2019-nCoV infections. This rapid advice guideline is suitable for the first frontline doctors and nurses, managers of hospitals and healthcare sections, community residents, public health persons, relevant researchers, and all person who are interested in the 2019-nCoV. 展开更多

Background:Human infections with zoonotic coronaviruses(CoVs),including severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)-CoV and Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS)-CoV,have raised great public health concern globally.Here,we report a novel batorigin CoV causing severe and fatal pneumonia in humans.Methods:We collected clinical data and bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)specimens from five patients with severe pneumonia from Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital,Hubei province,China.Nucleic acids of the BAL were extracted and subjected to next-generation sequencing.Virus isolation was carried out,and maximum-likelihood phylogenetic trees were constructed.Results:Five patients hospitalized from December 18 to December 29,2019 presented with fever,cough,and dyspnea accompanied by complications of acute respiratory distress syndrome.Chest radiography revealed diffuse opacities and consolidation.One of these patients died.Sequence results revealed the presence of a previously unknownβ-CoV strain in all five patients,with 99.8%to 99.9%nucleotide identities among the isolates.These isolates showed 79.0%nucleotide identity with the sequence of SARS-CoV(GenBank NC_004718)and 51.8%identity with the sequence of MERS-CoV(GenBank NC_019843).The virus is phylogenetically closest to a bat SARS-like CoV(SL-ZC45,GenBank MG772933)with 87.6%to 87.7%nucleotide identity,but is in a separate clade.Moreover,these viruses have a single intact open reading frame gene 8,as a further indicator of bat-origin CoVs.However,the amino acid sequence of the tentative receptor-binding domain resembles that of SARS-CoV,indicating that these viruses might use the same receptor.Conclusion:A novel bat-borne CoV was identified that is associated with severe and fatal respiratory disease in humans. 展开更多

Results showed that compared to the control treatment, 200 ppb, 100 ppb, 50 ppb treatments caused a 80.4%, 58.6% and 10.5% decrease in grain yields per winter wheat plant and a 49.1%, 26.1% and 8.2% decrease in grain yield per rice plant, respectively. According to the dose-response relation educed from OTCs experiment and the monitor data of O_3 concentrations in spots, it was estimated that the yield losses of rice and winter wheat resulted by O_3 pollution in the Yangtze River Delta region in 1999 were 0.599 million ton and 0.669 million ton, economic losses were 0.539 billion RMB Yuan and 0.936 billion RMB Yuan, respectively. 展开更多

MYB-type transcription factors contain the conserved MYB DNA-binding domain of approximately 50 amino acids and are involved in the regulation of many aspects of plant growth, development, metabolism and stress responses. From soybean plants, we identified 156 GmMYB genes using our previously obtained 206 MYB unigenes, and 48 were found to have full-length open-reading frames. Expressions of all these identified genes were examined, and we found that expressions of 43 genes were changed upon treatment with ABA, salt, drought and/or cold stress. Three GmMYB genes, GmMYB76, GmMYB92 and GmMYB177, were chosen for further analysis. Using the yeast assay system, GmMYB76 and GmMYB92 were found to have transactivation activity and can form homodimers. GmMYB177 did not appear to have transactivation activity but can form heterodimers with GmMYB76. Yeast onehybrid assay revealed that all the three GmMYBs could bind to cis-elements TAT AAC GGT TTT TT and CCG GAA AAA AGG AT, but with different affinity, and GmMYB92 could also bind to TCT CAC CTA CC. The transgenic Arabidopsis plants overexpressing GmMYB 76 or GmMYB177 showed better performance than the GmMYB92-transgenic plants in salt and freezing tolerance. However, these transgenic plants exhibited reduced sensitivity to ABA treatment at germination stage in comparison with the wild-type plants. The three GmMYB genes differentially affected a subset of stress-responsive genes in addition to their regulation of a common subset of stress-responsive genes. These resuits indicate that the three GmMYB genes may play differential roles in stress tolerance, possibly through regulation of stress-responsive genes. 展开更多

目的研究并分析失效模式与效应分析(FMEA)对于急性冠状动脉综合征(ACS)急救护理流程风险管理控制的影响。方法采用便利抽样法,按照患者急诊入院的时间顺序,将2016 年7 月— 2017 年6 月收治的84 例ACS患者作为对照组,2017 年7 月—2018 ... 目的研究并分析失效模式与效应分析(FMEA)对于急性冠状动脉综合征(ACS)急救护理流程风险管理控制的影响。方法采用便利抽样法,按照患者急诊入院的时间顺序,将2016 年7 月— 2017 年6 月收治的84 例ACS患者作为对照组,2017 年7 月—2018 年6 月收治的78 例患者作为观察组。对照组按照常规ACS 急诊快速诊疗方法。观察组将FMEA 方法运用于ACS 急救护理流程,通过识别失效模式,纠正失效因子,来实现对流程的风险控制。采用胸痛患者首次医疗接触至完成首份心电图(FMC-to-EKG)时间,首份心电图(EKG)至ACS 确诊时间,高敏肌钙蛋白检测(hs-cTn)完成时间,患者就诊至实施球囊扩张治疗(D2B)的时间,护理不良事件发生率,患者满意度比较FMEA实施效果。结果观察组ACS 患者首份EKG 至ACS 确诊时间、hs-cTn完成时间、D2B时间均短于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P < 0.05)。观察组ACS 患者满意率高于对照组,不良事件发生率低于于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(P< 0.05)。结论运用FMEA 可以实现对ACS 急救护理流程的风险控制,从而降低护理风险事件的发生,值得临床借鉴。 展开更多

Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). The present guideline includes the underlying diseases of syncope in children and adolescents, the diagnostic procedures, methodology and clinical significance of standing test and headup tilt test, the clinical diagnosis vasovagal syncope, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, orthostatic hypotension and orthostatic hypertension, and the treatment of syncope as well as follow-up. 展开更多

AIM: To investigate the effect of moxibustion on intestinal flora and release of interleukin-12 (IL-12) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) from the colon in rat with ulcerative colitis (UC). METHODS: A rat model of UC was established by local stimulation of the intestine with supernatant from colonic contents harvested from human UC patients. A total of 40 male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the following groups: normal (sham), model (UC), herb-partition moxibustion (HPM-treated), and positive control sulfasalazine (SA-treated). Rats treated with HPM received HPM at acupuncture points ST25 and RN6, once a day for 15 min, for a total of 8 d. Rats in the SA group were perfused with SA twice a day for 8 d. The colonic histopathology was observed by hematoxylin-eosin. The levels of intestinal flora, including Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, Escherichia coli (E. coli), and Bacteroides fragilis (B. fragilis), were tested by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction to detect bacterial 16S rRNA/DNA in order to determine DNA copy numbers of each specific species. Immunohistochemical assays were used to observe the expression of TNF-α and IL-12 in the rat colons. RESULTS: HPM treatment inhibited immunopathology in colonic tissues of UC rats; the general morphological score and the immunopathological score were significantly decreased in the HPM and SA groups compared with the model group [3.5 (2.0-4.0), 3.0 (1.5-3.5) vs 6.0 (5.5-7.0), P < 0.05 for the general morphological score, and 3.00 (2.00-3.50), 3.00 (2.50-3.50) vs 5.00 (4.50-5.50), P < 0.01 for the immunopathological score]. As measured by DNA copy number, we found that Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus, which are associated with a healthy colon, were significantly higher in the HPM and SA groups than in the model group (1.395 ± 1.339, 1.461 ± 1.152 vs 0.045 ± 0.036, P < 0.01 for Bifidobacterium, and 0.395 ± 0.325, 0.851 ± 0.651 vs 0.0015 ± 0.0014, P < 0.01 for Lactobacillus). 黄河源区地处青藏高原东缘,具有独特的自然生境和丰富的自然资源,是中国西南区域经济发展的重要生态安全屏障。以MODIS ET产品作为研究黄河源区地表蒸散发(ET)的数据源,结合黄河源区内部及周边18个气象站数据、全国1∶100万植被类型图... 黄河源区地处青藏高原东缘,具有独特的自然生境和丰富的自然资源,是中国西南区域经济发展的重要生态安全屏障。以MODIS ET产品作为研究黄河源区地表蒸散发(ET)的数据源,结合黄河源区内部及周边18个气象站数据、全国1∶100万植被类型图和黄河源区DEM数据,利用趋势分析、相对年际变化和相关分析法,研究2000-2014年黄河源区ET时空变化特征及不同土地利用类型下ET的变化规律,重点探讨了ET与气候因子的关系。结果表明:(1)黄河源区多年ET区域分异规律明显,北部ET显著弱于中部和东南部,最强ET位于黄河源区的东南部,多年平均ET值为538.61 mm/a,距平相对变化显著,ET年际变化呈先减小后增加的趋势,平均趋势变化率为0.44 mm/a;(2)年内ET呈周期性单峰变化趋势,7月达到峰值;2000-2014年黄河源区多年四季ET季节性差异明显,夏季ET最强达到188.14 mm/a,春秋季次之,冬季ET最弱仅97.15 mm/a;(3)研究时段内不同土地利用类型的ET大小表现为沼泽地>林地>草地>其他>裸地,整体上各土地利用类型的ET呈逐渐增加趋势;(4)相关分析结果表明,ET与同期气温、降水呈正相关关系,与相对湿度呈负相关关系,其中降水对ET的影响强于气温;驱动分区结果显示黄河源区ET受气候因子驱动的地区主要表现为降水驱动。 展开更多

Background:Pyroptosis is the term for caspase-l-dependent cell death associated with pro-inflammatory cytokines.The role of alveolar macrophage (AM) pyroptosis in the pathogenesis of the acute lung injury and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ALI/ARDS) remains unclear.Methods:C57BL/6 wild-type mice were assigned to sham,lipopolysaccharide (LPS) + vehicle,LPS + acetyl-tyrosyl-valyl-alanyl-aspartyl-chloromethylketone (Ac-YVAD-CMK) and LPS + Z-Asp-Glu-Val-Asp-fluoromethylketone groups.Mice were given intraperitoneal (IP) injections of LPS.Drugs were IP injected 1 h before LPS administration.Mice were sacrificed 16 h after LPS administration,and AMs were isolated.Western blot analysis for active caspase-1 and cleaved caspase-3,evaluation of lung injury and a cytokine release analysis were performed.AMs were treated with LPS and adenosine triphosphate (ATP);caspase-l-dependent cell death was evaluated using flow cytometry;the apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase recruitment domain (ASC) pyroptosomes were examined by immunofluorescence.Results:The expression of activated caspase-1 in AMs was enhanced following LPS challenge compared with the sham group.In the ex vivo study,the caspase-1/propidium iodide-positive cells,caspase-1 specks and ASC pyroptosomes were up-regulated in AMs following LPS/ATP stimulation.The specific caspase-1 inhibitor Ac-YVAD-CMK inhibited the activation of caspase-1 and pyroptotic cell death.Ac-YVAD-CMK also reduced the lung injury,pulmonary edema and total protein in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF).In addition,Ac-YVAD-CMK significantly inhibited interleukin-β (IL-lβ) release both in serum and BALF and reduced the levels of IL-18,tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),High Mobility Group Box 1 (HMGB1) in BALF during LPS-induced ALI/ARDS.Conclusions:This study reported AM pyroptosis during LPS-induced ALI/ARDS in mice and has demonstrated that Ac-YVAD-CMK can prevent AM-induced pyroptosis and lung injury.These 展开更多
