There are lots of references available concerning adsorption kinetics, and several mathematic models have been developed to describe adsorption reaction and diffusion processes. However, these models were frequently employed to fit the kinetic data in an unsuitable or improper manner. This is mainly because the boundary conditions of the associated models were, to a considerable extent, ignored for data modeling. Here we reviewed several widely-used adsorption kinetic models and paid more attention to their boundary conditions. Protolepidodendralean lycopsids are characteristic of morphologically complex leaves.Most taxa of this group are herbaceous and widely distributed in global Devonian sediments,with exceptions of a few members,such as ...Protolepidodendralean lycopsids are characteristic of morphologically complex leaves.Most taxa of this group are herbaceous and widely distributed in global Devonian sediments,with exceptions of a few members,such as Frenguellia eximia from the Lower Carboniferous of Argentina.In this study,we focus on the morphology of Frenguellia eximia and emend its generic and specific diagnoses,based on new materials from the Upper Devonian Hongguleleng Formation of West Junggar,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,Northwest China,within the fossil-bearing bed palynologically dated as a latest Famennian age.This is the first finding of Frenguellia eximia out of Gondwana.Frenguellia eximia bears planate leaf with three upward pairs of lateral tips,isomorphic sporophyll to the leaf,and elongated,oval sporangium.Leaf morphology of the members of the Order Protolepidodendrales is summarized and classified into lateral-tip and distal-tip types.Lateral-tip type leaf consists of an obvious main body and several paired lateral tips,whereas distal-tip type leaf shows a petiole and a distal lamina with several planate or three-dimensional segments.Two leaf types probably indicate two independent evolutionary routes of microphylls evolving from simple leaf of prelycopsids during the Devonian period.The new occurrence of Frenguellia eximia further shows paleophytogeographical similarities between West Junggar and northwestern Gondwana.展开更多
AIM:To confirm whether exosome-mediated delivery of aptamer S58(Exo-S58) has a better antifibrotic effect than naked S58 in human conjunctival fibroblasts(HCon Fs) and a rat glaucoma filtration surgery(GFS) model.METH...AIM:To confirm whether exosome-mediated delivery of aptamer S58(Exo-S58) has a better antifibrotic effect than naked S58 in human conjunctival fibroblasts(HCon Fs) and a rat glaucoma filtration surgery(GFS) model.METHODS:To enhance the effective reaction time of aptamer S58 in vivo, we loaded aptamer S58 into exosomes derived from HEK293 T cells by PEI transfection to determine the effect of Exo-S58 in HCon Fs and a rat GFS model.RESULTS:Exo-S58 can significantly reduce cell proliferation, migration and fibrosis in TGF-β2-induced HCon Fs. In an in vivo experiment, Exo-S58 treatment prolonged filtering bleb retention and reduced fibrosis compared with naked S58 treatment in GFS rats.CONCLUSION:The exosomes are safe and valid carriers to deliver aptamers. Embedded and Internet of Things(IoT)devices have extremely strict requirements on the area and power consumption of the processor because of the limitation on its working environment.To reduce the overhead of the embe...Embedded and Internet of Things(IoT)devices have extremely strict requirements on the area and power consumption of the processor because of the limitation on its working environment.To reduce the overhead of the embedded processor as much as possible,this paper designs and implements a configurable 32-bit in-order RISC-V processor core based on the 16-bit data path and units,named RV16.The evaluation results show that,compared with the traditional 32-bit RISC-V processor with similar features,RV16 consumes fewer hardware resources and less power consumption.The maximum performance of RV16 running Dhrystone and CoreMark benchmarks is 0.92 DMIPS/MHz and 1.51 CoreMark/MHz,respectively,reaching 75%and 71%of traditional 32-bit processors,respectively.Moreover,a properly configured RV16 running program also consumes less energy than a traditional 32-bit processor.展开更多

The experimental uptakes of 1-naphthol and 1-naphthylamine in all binary-component systems of different molar ratios were obviously higher than the corresponding uptakes predicted by the extended Langmuir model, assuming no interaction between the adsorbed molecules of the two components. This phenomenon was attributed to the cooperative adsorption effect arising from the hydrogen bonding interaction between 1-naphthol and 1-naphthylamine molecules. A modified extended Langmuir model was proposed to describe the binary adsorption behavior by means of introducing a fitting parameter related with the cooperative adsorption effect of the adsorbates.展开更多
