At present, most of the coking coal washeries are owned by Public Sector Companies; whereas, most of the non-coking coal washeries are owned by Private Sector. Even after six decades of coal washing practices, there has not been significant development in the coal washing intelligentsia. Indian Coal Washing industry is still dependent on imported equipment, which has been designed to treat coal that is significantly different from Indian coal of drift origin. In this paper, authors have ventured into evolution of Indian Coal Washing Industry (with a focus on coking coal washing sector), its present condition and future prospect for growth. The paper emphasizes need for developing indigenous solutions to industrial challenges and highlights importance of increased coordination among academia-research institutions and coal industry.展开更多

Monte Carlo simulations and dosimetry measurements, were established to study the radiation processing quality control. An isodose chart was created by GEANT4 Monte Carlo code to evaluate the absorbed dose rate uniformity inside the irradiation room from the year of the installation until the year of the source reload. The dose uniformity ratio(DUR) is deduced from maximum and minimum experimental doses in medical devices after three half lives of the source.展开更多

It has been found that the nucleation and subsequent growth period is very critical for successful development of CVD diamond based technologies. There are many methods of enhancing diamond nucleation on foreign substrates-ultrasonic treatment with diamond seed suspension being the best among them. A combination of ultrasonic seeding (US) technique with prior treatment (PT) of the substrate under CVD diamond growth conditions for brief period of time, has found to be very effective in enhancing the diamond nucleation during CVD growth—together they are known as NNP. But successive usage of the same seeding suspension up to ten cycles deteriorates the seeding efficiency. 6th seeding cycle onwards the silicon substrates are barely get covered by diamond crystallites. Five different diamond micron grits were used for seeding the silicon substrates and it is observed that US with the sub-micron particles (0.25 μm) is very effective in efficient nucleation of PCD on Si substrates. PT of the substrate somewhat negates the effect of successive use of the same seeding slurry but it is best to avoid recycling of the same seeding suspension using micron size diamond grits.展开更多

Though it cannot specify all the non-local characteristics of pure entangled states. It was proven that for every possible value of entanglement of a bipartite system, there exists an infinite number of equally entangled pure states, not comparable(satisfies Nielsen’s criteria) to each other. In this work, we investigate other correlation measures of pure bipartite states that are able to differentiate the quantum correlations of the states with entropy of entanglement. In Schmidt rank 3, we consider the whole set of states having same entanglement and compare how minutely such states can be distinguished by other correlation measures. Then for different values of entanglement we compare the sets of states belonging to the same entanglement and also investigate the graphs of different correlation measures. We extend our search to Schmidt rank 4 and 5 also.展开更多
