LAMOST’s special design allows both a large aperture (effective aperture of 3.6 m–4.9 m) and a wide field of view (FOV) (5°). It has an innovative active reflecting Schmidt configuration which continuously changes the mirror’s surface that adjusts during the observation process and combines thin deformable mirror active optics with segmented active optics. Its primary mirror (6.67m×6.05 m) and active Schmidt mirror (5.74m×4.40 m) are both segmented, and composed of 37 and 24 hexagonal sub-mirrors respectively. By using a parallel controllable fiber positioning technique, the focal surface of 1.75 m in diameter can accommodate 4000 optical fibers. Also, LAMOST has 16 spectrographs with 32 CCD cameras. LAMOST will be the telescope with the highest rate of spectral acquisition. As a national large scientific project, the LAMOST project was formally proposed in 1996, and approved by the Chinese government in 1997. The construction started in 2001, was completed in 2008 and passed the official acceptance in June 2009. The LAMOST pilot survey was started in October 2011 and the spectroscopic survey will launch in September 2012. Up to now, LAMOST has released more than 480 000 spectra of objects. LAMOST will make an important contribution to the study of the large-scale structure of the Universe, structure and evolution of the Galaxy, and cross-identification of multiwaveband properties in celestial objects.展开更多

Methods A total of 6974 (boys 3558, girls 3412) children aged 6-13 years participated in the study. Each participant’s height, weight, waist circumference, fasting glucose, triglycerides, total cholesterol, high- density lipoprotein cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol were measured. The type of beverage consumption was determined using a self-administered questionnaire. Results SSBs were consumed regularly by 46.1% of the children. The prevalence [adjusted odds ratio (95% confidence internal (CI)] of obesity was 7.6% [as the reference group (ref.)], 10.1% [1.36(1.07, 1.74)], and 11.6% [1.46(1.21, 1.75)], among children who regularly drank milk, other beverages and SSBs, respectively. Regularly drinking SSBs elevated the likelihood of abdominal obesity [adjusted odds ratio (95% CI): 1.36 (1.17, 1.59)]. The prevalence [adjusted odds ratio (95% CI)] of obesity among children who regularly drank sports/caloric beverages, carbonated beverages, sweet tea, and plant protein beverages was 16.8% [2.00(1.31, 3.07)], 12.7% [1.52(1.23, 1.88)], 11.5% [1.52(1.18, 1.95)], and 10.4% [1.41(1.03, 1.94)], respectively, which was higher than that of regular milk drinkers [7.6 % (ref.)]. The prevalence [adjusted odds ratio (95% CI)] of abdominal obesity among children who regularly drank sweet tea, fruit/vegetable juices, and carbonated beverages was 17.7% [1.55(1.26, 1.90)], 16.2% [1.36(1.09, 1.70)], and 15.3% [1.24(1.03, 1.50)], respectively, which was much higher than that of regular milk drinkers [12.8% (ref.)]. Conclusions Regular SSB consumption was positively related to obesity and abdominal obesity. This relationship should be investigated further using a longitudinal study design.展开更多

METHODS: Twenty-eight eyes of 28 patients with macular edema caused by CRVO were included in this retrospective study. All patients received a single intravitreal conbercept injection to treat macular edema. BCVA and the results of optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA) automatic measurements of the vessel density in the superficial(SCP) and deep retinal capillary plexus(DCP), the foveal avascular zone(FAZ) area, the FAZ perimeter(PERIM), the vessel density within a 300-μm wide ring surrounding the FAZ(FD-300), the acircularity index(AI), the choriocapillaris flow area, and retinal thickness were recorded before and at one month after treatment and compared with the results observed in age-and sexmatched healthy subjects. RESULTS: The vessel density in the SCP and DCP, the FD-300, and the flow area of the choriocapillaris were allsignificantly lower in CRVO eyes than in healthy eyes, while the AI and retinal thickness were significantly higher(all P<0.05). After treatment, retinal thickness was significantly decreased, and the mean BCVA had markedly improved from 20/167 to 20/65(P=0.0092). The flow area of the choriocapillaris was also significantly improved, which may result from the reduction of shadowing effect caused by the attenuation of macular edema. However, there were no significant changes in SCP and DCP vessel density after treatment. The flow area of the choriocapillaris at baseline was negatively correlated with retinal thickness.CONCLUSION: OCTA enables the non-invasive, layerspecific and quantitative assessment of microvascular changes both before and after treatment, and can therefore be used as a valuable imaging tool for the evaluation of the follow-up in CRVO patients.展开更多

METHODS Two hundred and twenty-three patients undergoing gastric cancer resection between October 1,2015 and September 30,2016 were enrolled in this study. Univariate and multivariate analyses were used toidentify risk factors for complications after gastrectomy. The cutoff values and diagnostic accuracy were examined by receiver operating characteristic curves.RESULTS Sixty-two(27.8%) patients had short-term complications after gastric cancer resection. The postoperative decrease in serum albumin(?ALB) was an independent risk factor for complications(OR = 17.957,95%CI: 6.073-53.095,P < 0.001). The cutoff value was 14.0% and the area under the curve was higher than that of C-reactive protein on postoperative day 3(area under the curve: 0.806 vs 0.709). Patients with ?ALB ≥ 14.0% were more likely to have short-term complications after gastrectomy(46.7% vs 5.0%,P < 0.001),prolonged hospital stay(17.2 ± 10.8 d vs 14.1 ± 4.2 d,P = 0.007) and higher comprehensive complication index(P < 0.001) than those with ?ALB < 14.0%.CONCLUSION Postoperative ?ALB with a cutoff of 14.0% can be used to recognize patients who have high risk of short-term complications following gastric cancer resection.展开更多

With this background,Chinmedomics has been proposed by our team, which includes integrating serum pharmacochemistry and metabolomics technology, defining theory and research methods for expressing the efficacy of TCMs based on the biomarkers discovery of TCM syndrome and elucidating the efficacy of TCM formulae, discovering effective constituents, and finally elucidating the scientific value of TCM. In the present study, the innovative chinmedomics strategy was conducted to evaluate the therapeutic effects of Shen Qi Wan(SQW) acting on Shen Yang Xu(kidney-yang deficiency syndrome, KYDS). We analyzed the urine metabolic trajectory between the model and control groups, and identified the biomarkers by the multivariate analysis. We found that SQW caused significant restoration of abnormal metabolism of KYDs. Using the method of metabolomics, 17 potential urine biomarkers were analyzed through 4 repeated tests in our serial studies on SQW and KYDS. Under the premise of therapeutic efficacy, a total of 56 peaks were tentatively characterized in vivo by the use of serum pharmacochemistry. Correlation analysis between marker metabolites and in vivo constituents of SQW showed that 28 compositions had a close relationship with urine biomarkers of therapeutic effects, whichmight play a key role in the therapeutic effect of SQW. These compounds were imported into an online database to predict their targets. Twenty-three important potential targets were identified, which were related to the metabolism of steroid hormone, tryptophan utilization, and thyroid hormone. In conclusion, chinmedomics is a useful strategy for discovery of potentially effective constituents from complex TCM formulae.展开更多

They act as molecular switches in a variety of developmental processes. In this study, seven cDNA clones coding for ROP GTPases have been isolated in Medicago truncatula, and conserved and divergent domains are identified in these predicted MtROP proteins. Phylogenetic analysis has indicated that MtROPs are distributed into groups II, III, IV but group I. MtROP genes are expressed in various tissues at different levels. A quantitative reverse transcription PCR analysis indicated that these MtROP genes have different expression profiles in the roots in response to infection with rhizobia. The expression of MtROP3, MtROP5 and MtROP6 are increased, as the expression of Nod factor or rhizobial-induced marker genes--NFP, Rip1 and Enod11; MtROPIO has showed enhanced expression at a certain post-inoculation time point. No significant changes in MtROP7 and MtROP9 expression have been detected and MtROP8 expression is dramatically decreased by about 80%-90%. Additionally, ROP promoter-GUS analysis has showed that MtROP3, MtROP5 and MtROP6 have elevated expression in transgenic root hairs after rhizobial inoculation. These results might suggest a role for some ROP GTPases in the regulation of early stages during rhizobial infection in symbiosis.展开更多

In AC and AG added bioleaching groups, low solution pH and suitable redox potential values, high total iron and ferric iron concentrations, and large number of adsorbed bacteria were obtained, resulting in high copper extractions. CB and CN inhibited the growth of bioleaching bacteria and led to the low bioleaching efficiency.X-ray diffraction analysis showed that jarosite and sulfur film were the main components of passivation layer with the addition of AG and AC,but did not hinder the dissolution of chalcopyrite. Microbial community structures of free and attached cells in AC and AG added groups changed dramatically compared with mixed moderate thermophiles. The sulfur-oxidizing bacteria of A. caldus S1 strain dominated the microbial community(93%-98%) at the end of bioleaching. The iron-oxidizing bacteria of L.ferriphilum YSK only accounted for low percentage(1%-2%).展开更多

Methods Two similar primary schools from one district of Beijing, China were selected, one as an intervention school and the other as a control school. Happy 10 program was implemented at least once every school day in the intervention school for two semesters, whereas no intervention was adopted in the control school. The information on energy expenditure and duration of physical activity was collected by a validated 7-day physical activity questionnaire. Height and weight were measured by trained investigators following the standardized procedure. Energy expenditure and intensity of each Happy 10 session was measured by a physical activity monitor. Results The average energy expenditure and duration of total physical activity per day among students in the intervention school increased significantly from 15.0 to 18.2 kcal/kg, and 2.8 to 3.3 h respectively, whereas the figures significantly decreased in the control school. There was a significant difference in change of weight and BMI between girls in the intervention and control school (2.4 kg vs 4.6 kg, -0.47 kg/m^2 vs 0.66 kg/m^2). The prevalence of overweight and obesity in the intervention school decreased by 0.4%-5.6%, as compared to the increase by 0.6%-4.5% in the control school. The average energy expenditure and intensity per 10-minute session ranged from 25.0-35.1 kcal, 4.8-6.2 kcal/kg/h respectively in grades 1-5. Conclusion Happy 10 program provides a useful strategy to promote physical activity among school children and also plays a positive role in building up physical growth and development of girls.展开更多

Methods The study design was one-year cluster randomized controlled trial of physical activity intervention (20 rain of daily exercise in the classroom) with an additional year of follow-up among 4 700 students aged 8-11 years at baseline. Results After the one-year intervention, BMI increased by 0.56 kg/m2 (SD 1.15) in the intervention group and by 0.72 kg/m^2 (SD 1.20) in the control group, with a mean difference of-0.15 kg/m^2 (95% CI: -0.28 to -0.02). BMI z score decreased by -0.05 (SD 0.44) in the intervention group, but increased by 0.01 (SD 0.46) in the control group, with a mean difference of-0.07 (-0.13 to -0.01). After another year of follow up, compared to the control group, children in the intervention group had significantly lower BMI (-0.13, -0.25 to -0.01 ), BMI z score (-0.05, -0.10 to -0.01), fat mass (-0.27 kg, -0.53 to -0.02) and percent body fat (-0.53, -1.00 to -0.05). The intervention had a more pronounced effect on weight, height, BMI, BMI z score, and body composition among obese children than among normal weight or overweight children. Compared to the control group, the intervention group had a significantly higher percentage of children who maintained or reduced their BMI z score at year 1 (P-0.008) and year 2 (P=-0.04). Conclusions These findings suggest that 20 min of daily moderate to vigorous physical activity during the school year is a feasible and effective way to prevent excessive gain of body weight, BMI, and body fatness in primary school students.展开更多

文摘The Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST, also called the Guo Shou Jing Telescope) is a special reflecting Schmidt telescope. LAMOST will make an important contribution to the study of the large-scale structure of the Universe, structure and evolution of the Galaxy, and cross-identification of multiwaveband properties in celestial objects.

文摘Objective To explore the associations between sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) consumption and obesity as well as obesity-related cardiometabolic disorders among children in China. This relationship should be investigated further using a longitudinal study design.

文摘AIM: To investigate microvascular changes in eyes with central retinal vein occlusion(CRVO) complicated by macular edema before and after intravitreal conbercept injection and evaluate correlations between these changes and best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA) and retinal thickness. The flow area of the choriocapillaris at baseline was negatively correlated with retinal thickness.CONCLUSION: OCTA enables the non-invasive, layerspecific and quantitative assessment of microvascular changes both before and after treatment, and can therefore be used as a valuable imaging tool for the evaluation of the follow-up in CRVO patients.

文摘AIM To find an accurate and simple predictor for postoperative short-term complications after gastrectomy. Patients with ?ALB ≥ 14.0% were more likely to have short-term complications after gastrectomy(46.7% vs 5.0%,P < 0.001),prolonged hospital stay(17.2 ± 10.8 d vs 14.1 ± 4.2 d,P = 0.007) and higher comprehensive complication index(P < 0.001) than those with ?ALB < 14.0%.CONCLUSION Postoperative ?ALB with a cutoff of 14.0% can be used to recognize patients who have high risk of short-term complications following gastric cancer resection.

文摘Elucidation of the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) is of importance for scientists of modern medicine to understand the value of TCM clinical experience, and it is necessary to have a biological language to scientifically describe the efficacy of TCM. In conclusion, chinmedomics is a useful strategy for discovery of potentially effective constituents from complex TCM formulae.

文摘BACKGROUND Chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection remains a major global public health problem.Chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients can be divided into treatment indication and non-treatment indication individuals according to alanine transaminase(ALT),HBV DNA,serum hepatitis B e antigen status, disease status[liver cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),or liver failure],liver necroinflammation or fibrosis, patients’age, and family history of HCC or cirrhosis. For example, normal ALT patients in‘immune-tolerant’phase with HBV DNA higher than 10^(7)or 2×10^(7)IU/mL,and those in‘inactive-carrier’phase with HBV DNA lower than 2×10^(3)IU/mL do not require antiviral therapy. However,is it reasonable to set the defined values of HBV DNA as the fundamental basis to estimate the disease state and to determine whether to start treatment? In fact,we should pay more attention to those who do not match the treatment indications(grayzone patients both in the indeterminate phase and in the‘inactive-carrier’phase).AIM To analyze the correlation of HBV DNA level and liver histopathological severity, and to explore the significance of HBV DNA for CHB with normal ALT.METHODS From January 2017 to December 2021,a retrospective cross-sectional set of 1299 patients with chronic HBV infection(HBV DNA>30 IU/mL)who underwent liver biopsy from four hospitals, including 634 with ALT less than 40 U/L.None of the patients had received anti-HBV treatment. The degrees of liver necroinflammatory activity and liver fibrosis were evaluated according to the Metavir system. On the basis of the HBV DNA level, patients were divided into two groups:Low/moderate replication group,HBV DNA≤10^(7)IU/mL[7.00 Log IU/mL,the European Association for the Study of the Liver(EASL)guidelines]or≤2×10^(7)IU/mL[7.30 Log IU/mL,the Chinese Medical Association(CMA)guidelines];high replication group,HBV DNA>10^(7)IU/mL or>2×10^(7)IU/mL.Relevant factors(demographic characteristics, laboratory parameters and noninvasive models)for liver histopathological severity

文摘ROPs (Rho-related GTPases of plants) are small GTPases that are plant-specific signaling proteins. These results might suggest a role for some ROP GTPases in the regulation of early stages during rhizobial infection in symbiosis.

文摘In this paper,a dual-ligand design strategy is demonstrated to modulate the performance of the electronically conductive metalorganic frameworks(EC-MOFs)thin film with a spray layer-by-layer assembly method. The thin film not only can be precisely prepared in nanometer scale(20-70 nm),but also shows the pin-hole-free smooth surface. The high quality nano-film of 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexaiminotriphenylene(HITP)doped Cu-HHTP enables the precise modulation of the chemiresistive sensitivity and selectivity.Selectivity improvement over 220%were realized for benzene vs.NH3>as well as enhanced response and recovery properties. In addition, the selectivity of the EC-MOF thin film sensors toward other gases(e.g.triethylamine,methane,ethylbenzene,hydrogen,butanone,and acetone)vs.NH3 at room temperature is also discussed.

文摘The catalysis of four carbon materials including artificial graphite(AG), carbon black(CB), activated carbon(AC) and carbon nanotube(CN) on chalcopyrite bioleaching by mixed moderate thermophiles was comparatively investigated. The iron-oxidizing bacteria of L.ferriphilum YSK only accounted for low percentage(1%-2%).

文摘Objectives To evaluate the effect of Happy 10 program on the promotion of physical activity, physical growth and development of primary-school students, and on obesity control and prevention. Conclusion Happy 10 program provides a useful strategy to promote physical activity among school children and also plays a positive role in building up physical growth and development of girls.
文摘Background The Borg scale is most commonly used to measure dyspnea in China. However, many patients that find it is difficult to distinguish the labeled numbers corresponding to different dyspnea scores. We developed a new method to rate dyspnea, which we call the count scale (CS).It includes the count scale number (CSN) and count scale time (CST).The aims of the present study were to determine the reproducibility and sensitivity of the CS during exercise in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Methods Fourteen male patients with COPD (aged 58.00±7.72 years) participated in this study.A progressive incremental exercise and a 6-minute constant work exercise test were performed every 2 to 3 days for a total of 3 times. The CS results were evaluated at rest and at 30% and 70% of maximal workload (Wmax) and Wmax. The Borg scales were obtained during exercise. Results No significant differences occurred across the three trials during exercise for the CS and Borg scores. The CSN and CST were more varied at Wmax (coefficient of variation (CV)=(22.28±16.96)% for CSN,CV=(23.08±19.11)% for CST) compared to 30% of Wmax (CV=(11.92±8.78)% for CSN,CV=(11.16±9.96)% for CST) and 70% of Wmax (CV=(9.08±7.09)% for CSN,CV=(12.19±12.32)% for CST).Dyspnea ratings with either CSN or CST tended to decrease at the higher workload compared to the lower workload.CSN and CST scores were highly correlated (r=0.861,P 〈0.001).CSN was negatively correlated with Borg scores (r=0.363,P=0.001).Similar results were obtained for the relationship between CST and Borg scores (r=0.345,P=0.003).Conclusion We concluded that the CS is simple and reproducible when measuring dyspnea during exercise in patients with COPD.

文摘Objectives To determine whether a large-scale physical activity intervention could affect body composition in primary school students in Beijing, China. Conclusions These findings suggest that 20 min of daily moderate to vigorous physical activity during the school year is a feasible and effective way to prevent excessive gain of body weight, BMI, and body fatness in primary school students.

文摘The FAST All Sky HI survey(FASHI)was designed to cover the entire sky observable by the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST),spanning approximately 22000 square degrees of declination between-14°and+66°,and in the frequency range of 1050-1450 MHz,with the expectation of eventually detecting more than 100000 HI sources.Between August 2020 and June 2023,FASHI had covered more than 7600 square degrees, which is approximately 35%of the total sky observable by FAST.It has a median detection sensitivity of around 0.76 m Jy beam-1and a spectral line velocity resolution of~6.4 km s-1at a frequency of~1.4 GHz.As of now,a total of 41741 extragalactic HI sources have been detected in the frequency range 1305.5-1419.5 MHz,corresponding to a redshift limit of z■0.09.By cross-matching FASHI sources with the Siena Galaxy Atlas(SGA)and the Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS)catalogs,we found that 16972(40.7%)sources have spectroscopic redshifts and 10975(26.3%)sources have only photometric redshifts. Most of the remaining 13794(33.0%)HI sources are located in the direction of the Galactic plane, making their optical counterparts difficult to identify due to high extinction or high contamination of Galactic stellar sources.Based on current survey results, the FASHI survey is an unprecedented blind extragalactic H I survey. It has higher spectral and spatial resolution and broader coverage than the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA Survey(ALFALFA).When completed,FASHI will provide the largest extragalactic HI catalog and an objective view of HI content and large-scale structure in the local universe.
