METHODS: The mission of the Council of Europe is to protect and promote human rights in its 47 member countries. Its 19 non-EU member states are Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Republic of Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Russian Federation, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, FYR of Macedonia, Turkey, and Ukraine(EU-19). The main data source were GLOBOCAN, IARC, WHO, EUCAN, NORDCAN, ENCR, volume X of the CI5, the ministerial and Public Health Agency websites of the individual countries, Pub Med, EMBASE, registries of some websites and the www.cochranelibrary.com, Scopus, www.clinicaltrials.gov, www.clinicaltrialsregister.eu, Research gate, Google and data extracted from screening programme results. RESULTS: Our results show that epidemiological data quality varies broadly between EU-28 and EU-19 countries. In terms of incidence, only 30% of EU-19 countries rank high in data quality as opposed to 86% of EU-28 states. The same applies to mortality data, since 52% of EU-19 countries as against all EU-28 countries are found in the high ranks. Assessment of the method of collection of incidence data showed that only 32% of EU-19 countries are found in the top three quality classes as against 89% of EU-28 countries. For the mortality data, 63% of EU-19 countries are found in the highest ranks as opposed to all EU-28 member states. Interestingly, comparison of neighbouring countries offering regional screening shows, for instance, that incidence and mortality rates are respectively 38.9 and 13.0 in Norway and 29.2 and10.9 in Sweden, whereas in Finland, where a national organised programme is available, they are respectively 23.5 and 9.3. CONCLUSION: Cancer screening should be viewed as a key health care tool, also because investing in screening protects the weakest in the population, d展开更多

Best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA) and microperimetry were evaluated at baseline and during a 6-month follow-up. In addition, central macular thickness(CMT) by means of structural optical coherence tomography(OCT) and retinal capillary plexus density and choriocapillary density by means of OCT angiography were assessed in all cases.RESULTS: Functional and morphological parameters significantly improved during the study period in both groups. BCVA improved significantly in both groups witha greater increase in the DEX group compared to the RBZ group(P=0.030). Microperimetry significantly differed during follow-up between the two treatments(P=0.031). In both groups CMT significantly decreased(P<0.001) without statistically significant differences between the two groups. A statistically significant increase of deep capillary plexus density was detected in both groups at 30 d after therapy. The retreatment rate was 0.70±0.10 and 0.65±0.10 in the RBZ group and 0.65±0.10 and 0.50±0.11 in DEX group at 120 and 180 d respectively. Two out of 25 patients in DEX group showed intraocular pressure increase requiring hypotonic eye drops.CONCLUSION: Both treatments are very effective for DME treatment during 6 mo of follow-up with a lower retreatment rate in DEX group.展开更多

External loads were estimated in the tributaries (Pintados and Ibirit6 creeks) through nutrient concentrations and discharge measurements. Using Fick's law, internal loads were estimated in the reservoir from fluxes across sediment-water interface from nutrient concentration gradients between the pore water and the water. The Ibirit6 creek (urban sewage recipient) contributes with 72%-47% of ammonium (NH4^+) and 100%-8% of SRP (soluble reactive phosphorus) of the total quantity entering the reservoir, whereas the Pintados creek (oil refinery effluent recipient) contributions are 20%-19% and 44%-100%, respectively. Despite the high external loads (130 and 2.2 ton-yr^-1 of NH4+ and SRP, respectively), internal loads (average flux of 120 and 2 mg·cm^-2yr^-1, respectively) correspond to 25% of the total external loads which may sustain a high productivity in the reservoir for a long time even if the external loads are controlled. The stocks of ammonium and SRP of the interstitial water (100 cm of sediment) would be released to the water in six years and five months, respectively, The release time would be extremely larger (〉 3,000 years) considering the stocks of total N and bioavailable P.展开更多

文摘This work is a review of previous works, presenting and discussing the most important results obtained by an ongoing research program towards the development of innovative,low-cost,self-lubricating composites with a low friction coefficient and high mechanical strength and wear resistance.Special emphasis is given to uniaxial die pressing of solid lubricant particles mixed with matrix powders and to metal injection moulding associated with in situ generation of solid lubricant particles.Initially,a microstructural model/processing route (powder injection moulding followed by plasma-assisted debinding and sintering) produced a homogeneous dispersion of in situ generated solid lubricant particles.Micrometric nodules of graphite with diameter smaller than 20 μm were formed, constituting a nanostructured stacking of graphite foils with nanometric thickness.Micro Raman analysis indicated that the graphite nodules were composed of turbostratic 2D graphite having highly misaligned graphene planes separated by large interlamellae distance.Large interplanar distance between the graphene foils and misalignment of these foils were confirmed by transmission electron microscopy and were, probably, the origin of the outstandingly low dry friction coefficient (0.04).The effect of sintering temperature, precursor content, metallic matrix composition and surface finish is also reported.Furthermore, the influence of a double-pressing/double-sintering (DPDS) technique on the tribological performance of self-lubricating uniaxially die-pressed hBN + graphite-Fe-Si-C-Mo composite is also investigated. Moreover, the tribological behaviour of die-pressed Fe-Si-C matrix composites containing 5,7.5 and 10 wt% solid lubricants (hBN and graphite) added during the mixing step is analysed in terms of mechanical properties and wear mechanisms. Finally, the synergy between solid lubricant particles dispersed in a metallic matrix and fluid lubricants in a cooperative mixed lubrication regime is presented.

In 106 patients IOP was measured by means of RT and GAT before clear corneal cataract surgery (RT1 and GAT1) and at one day postoperatively (RT2 and GAT2). Results: RT IOP values > 5 mmHg were overestimated, while RT IOP values Conclusion: our results showed a good agreement between measurements obtained with RT and GAT in pre and postoperative cataract surgery, although a significant statistically difference was found between RT and GAT measurements performed postoperatively. Moreover, CCT is a parameter to be considered for the IOP measurement, especially for values obtained with RT.

文摘A flexible, fully organic detector for proton beams is presented here. The detector operates in the indirect mode and is composed of a polysiloxane-based scintillating layer coupled to an organic phototransistor, that is assessed for flexibility and low-voltage operation(V=−1 V),with a limit of detection of 0.026 Gy min^(−1).We present a kinetic model able to precisely reproduce the dynamic response of the device under irradiation and to provide further insight into the physical processes controlling it.This detector is designed to target real-time and in-situ dose monitoring during proton therapy and demonstrates mechanical flexibility and low power operation, assessing its potential employment as a personal dosimeter with high comfort and low risk for the patient. The results show how such a proton detector represents a promising tool for real-time particle detection over a large area and irregular surfaces, suitable for many applications, from experimental scientific research to innovative theranostics.

文摘From April to July 2018,a data sample at the peak energy of the T(4 S) resonance was collected with the Belle Ⅱ detector at the SuperKEKB electron-positron collider. This is the first data sample of the Belle Ⅱ experiment.Using Bhabha and digamma events,we measure the integrated luminosity of the data sample to be(496.3±0.3±3.0) pb-1,where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. This work provides a basis for future luminosity measurements at Belle Ⅱ.
