Chromosome preparations were made from bone marrow cells and stained with Giemsa.The diploid number of chromosome of Ardea purpucea and Ardea cinerea are 62 ± and 60 ±respectively. The numbers of macrochromosome of these two birds are same, namely 11 pairs. Among them,six pairs of macrochromosome are morphologically very similar between the two birds.展开更多
