The accumulation of He on a W surface during keV-He ion irradiation has been simulated using cluster dynamics modeling. This is based mainly on rate theory and improved by involving different types of objects, adopting up-to-date parameters and complex reaction processes, as well as considering the diffusion process along with depth. These new features make the simulated results compare very well with the experimental ones. The accumulation and diffusion processes are analyzed, and the depth and size dependence of the He concentrations contributed by different types of He clusters is also discussed. The exploration of the trapping and diffusion effects of the He atoms is helpful in understanding the evolution of the damages in the near-surface of plasma-facing materials under He ion irradiation. 展开更多

铁粉在高温氮化氛围下能够形成强磁性铁氮化合物Fe_4N,为了研究其材料中不同占位Fe的磁性差异,文中运用基于密度泛函理论下的第一性原理平面波赝势方法,通过实验上测量出的空间结构群、晶格常数和原子坐标来建立Fe_4N晶体结构,然后进行... 铁粉在高温氮化氛围下能够形成强磁性铁氮化合物Fe_4N,为了研究其材料中不同占位Fe的磁性差异,文中运用基于密度泛函理论下的第一性原理平面波赝势方法,通过实验上测量出的空间结构群、晶格常数和原子坐标来建立Fe_4N晶体结构,然后进行几何优化。由最稳定的几何构型,计算出了电子结构和磁性的大小。结果表明:N、顶角Fe(Ⅰ)和面心Fe(Ⅱ)的磁矩大小分别为0. 06,2. 94和2. 32μB.根据Mulliken电荷分布情况,详细分析了各位置原子特别是Fe的磁矩来源情况。可以看出,面心处的Fe(Ⅱ)磁矩大小明显要弱于顶角处Fe(Ⅰ),这个数据与实验和其他人的计算结果都符合得很好,证明本计算结果是有效的。通过分析各原子的自旋劈裂态密度图,发现Fe(Ⅰ)和Fe(Ⅱ)都出现了不同程度的自旋劈裂,在费米能级附近,Fe(Ⅰ)劈裂更明显,这很好地解释了顶角Fe(Ⅰ)有较大磁矩。由于中心N和面心Fe(Ⅱ)之间存在着比较强的共价作用,远大于N和顶角Fe(Ⅰ)之间的相互作用力,从而导致不同位置Fe的磁性强弱不同。 展开更多

Voltage-controlled Kosterlitz–Thouless transitions and various kinds of Kondo behaviors in a triple dot device

The transport property and phase transition for a parallel triple dot device are studied by adopting Wilson's numerical renormalization group technique, focusing on the effects of level spacings between neighboring dot sites. By keeping dot 2at the half-filled level and tuning the level differences, it is demonstrated that the system transits from local spin quadruplet to triplet and doublet sequently, and three kinds of Kondo peaks at the Fermi surface could be found, which are separated by two Kosterlitz–Thouless type quantum phase transitions and correspond to spin-3/2, spin-1, and spin-1/2 Kondo effect,respectively. To obtain a detailed understanding of these problems, the charge occupation, the spin–spin correlation, the transmission coefficient, and the temperature-dependent magnetic moment are shown, and necessary physical arguments are given. 展开更多

Kosterlitz–Thouless transition, spectral property and magnetic moment for a two-dot structure with level difference

By means of the numerical renormalization group method, we study the phase transition, the spectral property, and the temperature-dependent magnetic moment for a parallel double dot system with level difference, where the dot energies are kept symmetric to the half-filled level. A Kosterlitz–Thouless(KT) transition between local spin triplet and singlet is found. In the triplet regime, the local spin is partially screened by the conduction leads and spin-1 Kondo effect is realized.While for the singlet, the Kondo peak is strongly suppressed and the magnetic moment decreases to 0 at a definite low temperature. We attribute this KT transition to the breaking of the reflection symmetry, resulting from the difference of the charge occupations of the two dots. To understand this KT transition and related critical phenomena, detailed scenarios are given in the transmission coefficient and the magnetic moment, and an effective Kondo model refers to the RayleighSchrdinger perturbation theory is used. 展开更多
