摘要
基于1990-2016年"一带一路"沿线国家的跨国面板数据,应用偏差校正LSDV法估计,考察对外贸易和金融发展的交互效应对二氧化碳的影响。研究结果表明:"一带一路"沿线国家的贸易融资对环境存在交互效应。当金融发展水平较低时,对外贸易对环境有害,当金融发展水平较高时,对外贸易起到抑制碳排放的作用,即只有一个国家具备完善的金融市场,对外贸易的环境效益才能实现;同时,金融发展只有在高度开放的经济环境中才有利于生态环境优化。此外,从按收入和地区分样本进行实证检验的结果看,贸易与融资对环境的交互效应仅支持中等收入国家,高收入国家因发展差异性较大,统计结果并不显著;非亚洲区域相较于亚洲区域,对外贸易与金融发展的交互效应对碳排放影响更大。
Based on the multinational panel data of countries along the Belt and Road Initiatives from 1990 to 2016,applying the bias-corrected LSDV estimator,this paper estimates the impact of foreign trade and financial development on carbon emissions.The study finds that foreign trade and financial development have complementary roles in reducing carbon emissions.Foreign trade is harmful to the environment when financial development is low but turns beneficial when financial development is high.Also financial development will be environmentally improving only in countries with the high foreign trade.In addition,from the results of empirical tests based on income and regional samples,the interaction effect of trade finance on the environment only supports middle-income countries.In high-income countries,due to development differences,the statistical results are not significant.In non-Asian regions,the complementarity of foreign trade and financial development has a greater impact on carbon emissions than in Asia.
